No I bought them. I'm gunna ask her how old they are and if others are having effect issues. Right in the morning. So fairly empty yea. I think I'm quite a 'group' and community person so yea, that aspect could be influencing it. Hm hm hm... well, I'm gunna see what brewing them in tea is like for next time. @Serotoninluv so did your tolerance diminish as you used them more? Thanks for your inputs! -

Has anyone experimented with tea or other ways of ingesting shrooms? Differences? -

I've been doing microdosing once every 3 days. Golden Teachers (from a shrooms kit). Dosage, I usually eyeball something around 0.10 grams. Microdosed the day before. I've also been taking iodine, but have stopped for at least a couple weeks now, probably more like 3/4 weeks. Vitamin D and B12 daily. I took 2 grams a few weeks ago with similar little effects. I've done shrooms years back and had a terrible trip, then also some no effect trips. Weed brownies make me trip wayyy more than shrooms. I had a nickle sized piece of weed chocolate the other night and tripped way more on that than the 3grams of shrooms. LSD I also feel more effects. I've done ayahuasca, peyote, and iboga once each. Iboga, then peyote, then ayahuasca for effect size. Also, holotropic breathwork seems to even get me more high than what i got on the shrooms today. Mind all these different substance/techniques produce different effects so me saying "effect size" is a very general, yet I think relatively accurate, description. Also, a thought occurred to me of perhaps being with others may increase or alter the effects. Any input on this last comment? -
Thanks!

This is the paper I read: Luhmann’s theory of autopoietic social systems : https://www.zfog.bwl.uni-muenchen.de/files/mitarbeiter/paper2004_2.pdf Another paper I came across. I found it rather lengthy and didn't read it. https://monoskop.org/images/3/35/Maturana_Humberto_Varela_Francisco_Autopoiesis_and_Congition_The_Realization_of_the_Living.pdf

I actually was inspired to create this post after seeing yours. I was going to post this in your section but thought it would be better to post it as a title so more people could see it. I haven't no, only a paper I read of Maturana and Valera's. I think it was some sort of clarification, or perhaps expansion on Luhman's original theory. Did Luhmann's autopoiesis focus strictly on biological organisms and systems? If so, I think Maturana and Valera expanded autopoiesis to include social systems (and perhaps others as well). There's a free online PDF paper by Maturana and Valera out there somewhere.

I think Terrence McKenna recommends dancing silly for 10minutes if you're scared. Also helps increase oxygen flow. I tried 2gs a few weeks ago and barely tripped. I'd been microdosing for about a month prior. Does anyone have related experiences or info. regarding microdosing perhaps reducing sensitivity to larger doses? -

I found this guy, Jamie Wheal, he does a lot of research with flow states. He runs the Flow Genome Project (https://www.flowgenomeproject.com/), and he's worked alongside Ken Wilber and integral theory in the past (he's got some interesting critics about Ken and Integral's practical effectiveness). You can take a quick survey which then gives you one of 4 types of "flow" personality. Seems interesting to me. -
I want to do some basic enlightenment sessions with people. I'm wanting to know what you all found to be the most helpful techniques, teachings, metaphors, and approaches in the beginning stages. I've been doing enlightenment/self-inquiry work for about two years now (meditation for about 5) and have experimented with a few techniques. What were/are you favorite techniques? What were/are your favorite/most helpful teachings/philosophies/concepts regarding enlightenment that were taught to you? Even attitudes and demeanors teachers took would be appreciated. Cheers

I think I've been sidetracked by intellectual pursuits and explorations from the places I naturally find flow, like using my body, being outside, etc. Finding the place where I'm in the zone is something I crave a lot, but I've struggled to find it. How have you guys incorporated the places you find flow with your life purpose? -

Where do you guys find your flow state? -
It seems like weight training to me. It'll be sloppy and distracted at the start, but then over time it will build. Having a clean diet, and perhaps doing nootropics or micro-dosing can maybe help. Also having your life sorted (practically and psychologically/emotionally) helps a ton. I've had a lot of psychological and emotional ups and downs and often feel plagued by them which makes it way harder to concentrate or even meditate. So healing these is key as well.

Hey, I've recently become interested in exercises or projects that bring people together and create more group solidarity and cohesiveness. I've also had a notion for years now of somehow being able to merge people's consciousnesses in a group format. Jamie Wheal seems to discuss this sort of possibility in Rebel Wisdom's interview with him (he talks about it near the end when asked where to new frontiers are @ 42:57). It seems like he's talking more of people living together, which I'm interested in as well. But I'm also really keen on exploring if people can merge consciousnesses. "Transpersonal-collective culture (non-hierarchical 'supercomputer')" "Inter-subjective-sense making" I'd really appreciate any experiences or techniques people know of which are done in a group setting and which A) increase group togetherness and B) have the possibility of merging consciousnesses of individuals. Thanks!

Are there any strong emotions present when things still bug you, even if you know the thing "shouldn't" bug you conceptually? It might help to consider intellect/thinking as distinct, or on a separate layer, than beliefs held in a sort of emotional-body. These beliefs, emotions, or traumas may require some deeper healing, letting go, or realizations to confront and be free of. Taking new perspectives may also help in seeing issues in new lights (recontexualization and paradigms = Leo's got videos on these). Lights which hold the key. Have you ever come across those puzzles where you try and try and try it and you just can't figure it out? And then someone comes along and does it and the answer is soooo simple, it was right under your nose. You just weren't looking at it in the right way. Maybe you were looking at it from too close, too far, or at the wrong angle. But, now that you see it in a new light, it's obvious. Time Patience Explore

I think there's a ton to be said from simply mimicking shooting a basketball or pretend playing as you go about your day. Also, watching videos of other great players (like MJ) is actually a way of learning too. You sort of pick up what they're doing and it can then transfer into your body. That's what it seems like to me. I used to play a ton of bball and I used to just walk around the house pretend shooting and playing. I heard somewhere that pretend shooting is almost, if not equal, to actually shooting a basketball.... I dunno, but I think there's some validity to it.

@undeather That video was great! It really threw my whole integral and developmental framework for a loop. I particularly loved the last part where he talked about where he thought the leading edge was: INTERSUBJECTIVITY! I've been looking for this for years now and haven't really found anything (accept telepathy) until they started talking about this.

Sum of below: I think I try too hard and resist taking it easy since I feel "I" have to do it for validation since I perhaps didn't get that validation growing up. So I create difficult obstacles to overcome so I can feel a surge of ego-gratification and "I'm here" and "I can do it." @WelcometoReality Yeah, I probably force things a lot. While watching the video above, I though "Maybe I'm using enlightenment to escape reality, which is the exact opposite direction to enlightenment." There's almost a part of me that doesn't want it to be easy or simple. It's like the part of me that struggles gets gratified and acknowledged when things are hard. Like that belief that things are hard is working to be confirmed. It seems also that there's a part of me that wants to do it alone and by myself, like I'm using this enlightenment project as a way to validate myself. As a way to show myself that "I can do it." When you said ... I felt a little deflated. Like "I had to do it" and letting go and relaxing doesn't acknowledge my self. It too easy or something. I think I've made myself to be a fighter, a survivor, someone who has to try really hard. This goes completely counter to easing into things, letting go, and letting it come to me. It's like "If I'm not doing it, if I'm not the one who does it, if I'm not the one who's hard work got him enlightened, then it's not very satisfying or affirming." Like I'm using enlightenment as a self-validating project. Probably because of not feeling capable in life or that I can't do it or something along those lines. Ahh! haha, I hate the idea of taking it easy, and yet I hate feeling miserable from trying too hard! haha I also have this idea that I need to fix me. Like that's a big part of my identity. The one who needs fixing. I think I might do all this stuff to try and feel important because I never felt important growing up or got that recognition or validation. So I try to be serious, take myself and life seriously, and try really hard at things to gain approval and validation from others. Maybe i never felt validated as a person. Never felt acknowledged. Ignored. I have this notion that I'm not good enough, so I created another part which is good enough. But, this good enough part of me only gets validated when it does "good" things, like work hard and overcome obstacles and struggles. Like I can't accept things being easier than they are, or easy at all, since then that big part of me wouldn't be validated or continue to be. I think the belief that "I'm not good enough" comes into play since if I relax, let go, and be myself as I am, that's not good enough. So I have to try hard to not be myself since I'm not good enough. I think I have to let that belief go and be myself more. -
Cheers

Letting out frustrations : Releasing the victim Ugh...I'm trying so hard... it feels like everyone's having these insights and experiences and I'm just not good enough to do it. I feel so inadequate at all this. It's so hard. I don't get it. I do self-inquiry, meditation, psychedelics, retreats and I'm plagued by addictions and emotions. So then maintaining a long-lasting practice has been so difficult. and ugh! I don't know what the fuck to do. If two years is a long time, fuck. I feel like I've been at this for a long time and have put so much effort in and been through so much shit and am still at the starting point. uggghhhhh. What the fuck do I have to do! I don't understand. This work fucking sucks. -

@Nahm I get that logic. It's like who would go to a sex therapist who's never had sex? On the other hand, I've been doing self-inquiry for a few years now and feel it's helped me in life. Especially with letting go of pieces of myself. @Raptorsin7 Makes sense. @Esoteric Yeah, I've thought about that. I find it's hard to know. Though, I don't reject the idea. I've been doing sentence completions (originally learned from Nathaniel Branden) and I've had "Teach self-inquiry" come out for several sentences asking about my life purpose and what I should do with my life. But, point taken. @LfcCharlie4 Hmm... yeah it's felt like a big grind. I might have more baggage or shadow to deal with than most. I dunno. I've heard Ken Wilber talk about how it's hard to "Wake up" if you've got a lot of shadow issues. I've definitely had my fair share of mental health problems. In terms of psychedelics, I've done Ayahuasca, Iboga, LSD, Peyote, and some mushrooms. I've kind of played it safe with them due to my mental history. I've started microdosing at the moment. Do you have any advice or thoughts on mushrooms and Non-Duality? Particularly with people who've had a history of mental instability? I'm always debating whether I should just "send it" and go for a bigger dose in the hopes of getting an insight. @inFlow Cheers. Thanks everyone. Will consider all. -
@FuriousGeorge I think so. It's quite large and I'm hitting a bit of a personal boredom block with it, but I still think it has value. Especially if you're already familiar with sociological and developmental models like Spiral Dynamics. So far as I've read, it's about describing a subculture in the states of about, according to the authors, 50 million people. They call them the "Cultural Creatives". The authors are a psychologist and sociologist and I think one runs a research organization. It seems like they've both done a lot of research, spanning about 10 years, and they provide a lot of it in the book. They're also familiar with Spiral Dynamics, for whatever that's worth.

@LfcCharlie4 Thanks for the input. Yeah, I've never had an enlightenment experience. I've got practice and theory. I figure it'd be worth it to introduce people to the concept and get them aware that it's a possibility. I'd be a messenger I guess, giving people sources, teachers, techniques, theory, while emphasizing I've never had an experience and don't even know if it's true. -
