I presume personal studying. He seems like he's just a fucking intellectual wizard. Don't forget hs probably was thinking differently early on. He speaks about how he was homeschooled and said he was a slow learner at first. But once he understood the most fundamental part of what he was learning, he learning skyrocketed. I presume a mix of upbringing, genetics... the ol' nature n' nurture thing.

He says this, sure. But... He's living and embodying this. All the arguments and interviews. He literally became famous because of his conflict. Like, that's what he does. He may not like it. Granted. But he seems to do quite a lot of it. He's also in the global limelight so I think it would be foolish to think he's not dealing with haters on a daily basos as well and is no stranger to conflict and disagreements. I dunno. My take.

So, I've heard Leo mention, and I think others, to do a provoked urine test for heavy metals. Though, I just came across this article (https://quackwatch.org/related/Tests/urine_toxic/) which says that provoked urine tests mislead people into thinking they're toxic when they aren't since this type of test takes normal levels of heavy metals out of the body in abnormal amounts, thus misleading the diagnosis. To be fair, I just glossed over this article as it is quite extensive and lists many sources and studies. What ya'll think? Has anyone tried either of the provoked or/and unprovoked tests? What was your experience and results? Cheers

Ah! lol. Cheers. Felt like it. Maybe I made a mistake when I did 12.5mg x 6 and shoulda done 1.25mg x 6. Leo said I was off by a factor of ten. But he said "I told you the cost" so, I felt a bit chastised. But fuck.. jesus I just get feeling really pissed at him sometimes for how he talks in a way that like puts people down. Not necessary. BUUUUTTTT... anyhoo. Ya, maybe it was the weight conversion thing. Anyways, makes more sense now. Cheers!

Biggest Myth in Education = Maths

I think it's hard to deny development when you look at the difference between a 2, 10, 18, and 40 year old, even probably across many cultures and time periods. I bet 2 year olds in ancient Rome were similarly more self-centered as 2 year olds in modern America. Likewise, those two two year olds probably both eventually 'developed' into more selfless, empathic, and considerate-of-others types of people. But hey, I guess, to quote the great American hero Jeff Lebowski, aka The Dude, "That's just like, your [my] opinion man." lol. in jokes. Anyway. I just think it's kinda obvious there's some sort of development happening. I dunno... perhaps there's a way to swing words n stuff to mean there isn't. But for all practical purposes, it seems like the case. Some people are more selfish while others more selfless. Some people feel more fear and some feel less fear. And yeah, I agree we do put value-judgements to create a "better" and "worse" (e.g. feel less fear is better than more fear, being able to walk is better than not since you can run from prey and not die, being able to speak is better than not, etc.). So ya, I suppose maybe in like an ultimate sense it's all value-judgements (I could see that, though I don't necessarily agree or believe it all at once), for all practical purposes it makes sense to me to be able to use these judgements of "better" and "worse" (leading to developmental hierarchies) as a way to show progress n stuff and to ultimately lead to healthier, happier, and more functional human beings and cultures. Seems to be heavily connected to survival.

I have a question regarding dosages and pricing. Can ya'll check my math? Basically, I did some math and figured out it would cost $324 per round, excluding extra supplements. Dose this seem right? If I need a total of 16,659mg for a single round of 3 days, I'd need to buy 15 bottles which would cost $324. Is this right? What do you pay? Cheers for any help and double-checking. I wrote my math below: I'd love it if you could check it out. If not, no worries. My weight (February 5, 2022) = 170 lbs = 77kg I'm going to start at 12.5mg/kg = 12.5 x 77kg = 962.5mg per pill/dose --> Is this right? ...Then... 962.5mg per dose/pill of DMSA is done every 4 hours (so 6 times every 24 hours). So, that means 925.5mg pills, 6 times daily (24hrs) =5,553mg daily = 925.5mg pills x 6 times daily = 5553mg daily total. ... Then, if doing a 3 day round, that would be =16,659 mg for that round in total. = 5553mg daily total x 3 days (1 round) = 16659mg round total. ... I then went on this site (https://www.livingsupplements.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_8&products_id=161&zenid=eu7fjlju203pnr0gp3i633ecs6) and they sell DMSA for like $22-$25 a bottle of 90 tablets of 12.5mg each tablet. = 12.5mg a pill/dose x 90 = 1125mg bottle total = 16659mg round total / 1125mg bottle total = 15 bottles = 15 bottles x $22 = $324 per round for chelators alone

Great lesson for things in life in general; don't know till you try it.

C'mmmmmon! Lol. None of that. ... You're Fiiiiinnnneee not being a father. Many people are. If it adds any weight to the argument, Daniel Schmachtenberger and his wife chose not to have kids. If someone of that caliber of development, intelligence, wisdom, and care is choosing not to have kids, I'm sure he's happy and fine with it. Of course there may be personal differences. But... I wouldn't peg your happiness on being a father or not, as hard as it may be. Thus, if you don't become a father, you're happy. And if you do become a father, you'll probably be a happier and better father and raise happier and better children since your identity won't be forcing "trying to be a father", or fearing "not being a father"; both of which would probably lead to less positive and wise decisions and states of being in regards to your children. Imo.

One way I heard the Hero's Journey explained is, rather than a person being on one journey at a time, we're on many journeys all at once; some are longer, some a shorter. Actually... I think Leo said this. I like to think this is a more accurate way of looking at things. Which is why I find it difficult to answer the poll. But, if I had to choose, it would be facing demons and shadows.

Nice! How much does it cost for you to do a round in total? I wrote a new topic on the health section of the forum trying to see if I made any mistakes in my math. = In sum: I figured it would cost $324 per 3-day round (excluding extra supplements). Sound right? This is for DMSA every 4 hours, 6 times a day.

It's just a dream. Take it as you will.

Last night i had an interesting yet brief dream. It was quite vivid since i think it happened when i had already woken up at like 6am and then gone back to sleep briefly. So perhapd my conscopjsness was more aware or something... dunno. Anyways. All it was that i remeber was a vague image of his head and shoulders and his voice saying... "It's not happiness that make us happy. Accepting hell is what makes us happy." What are your thoughts and reactions?

I know exactly where. From his mouth. Lol. Counsellor as in "therapist". One of the countless videos he's been in. I think with The Stoa. Not sure which one.

Lol. At least you're honest about it. It's not a bad thing either. Just do what you feel most attracted to in terms of like, good feelings in your body. Then, as an experiment, try imagining an even better scenario or feeling and comparing how you feel doing A with the better thing B... see how you feel and what happens. Perhaps "drugs partying with friends" (again, nothing wrong with that ;P) turns into "skydiving with friends" or "climbing mountains on cross-country road trips with friends". ... appealing? Maybe "drugs" turns into "5-meo-DMT vision quests... with friends... of course"... (I feel like I'm channeling my inner "Nahm" here, lol). Yes. community, connection, friends. All valid and great stuff. Meaningful over here as well. One way I've recently been tackling these things is realizing, I've known I've wanted these for many years. Yet I still haven't really felt I've created them in the ways and depths I've wanted. Robert Kegan's book and concept "Immunity to Change" comes to mind. Basically, limiting beliefs and values (that may or may not be limiting) can get in the way of realizing what you truly want and think is good, true, and beautiful. For example: You want community. Ok. Great! Now, what do you believe about community? What will happen to you or your circumstances when you find that? Anything you don't want? Perhaps you hold that, while yes, community brings many joys like doing adventures together or staying up late dreaming about the future and philosophizing, you may also hold that community will pin you down and take away your freedom. Or that you'll become a sheeple and a follower with no sense of self. It could also be that you also fear community since you feel once you get close to people they will realize what a "bad" person you are (or rather, you believe you're "bad" thus that others will eventually see that). etc. etc. etc.. There's no wonder achieving those things you want seem so hard! You're unconscious is protecting you from a bunch of possibly painful things associated with that (though, I would suggest these things are all based on belief and aren't true.. but you can dig that up for yourself :P) .. Anyways... get what I mean? Might be worth a little dig.

Before all his "bigger" stuff, I heard him say he was a counsellor for a while as well.

I often hear of the battle between marxism/socialism vs. Capitalism... Is there a 3rd, 4th, or even 5th option to break this dichotomy? Maybe socialism is one o.f those. I admittedly haven't studied political theory much. Also...lol... it'd be nice to hear more diverse models and perspectives on human and political development rather than the ol' "from magic to mythic to rational, etc." Lol. I also wonder how actually practical AQAL is in the real world. Jamie wheal, a "disciple" of wilber, said he tried using it to help organizations in a practical way and ended up literally having to simplify it down to "selves, grouls, and organizations" to make it practical.

Cheers. Ya, i suppose it couldn't hurt to start lower. Though, I was just reading one of the studies Leo posted wkth his heavy metal detox video, and they listed many other studies using childre at 30mg/kg. Even one study where they took 780 infants feom like 20-33 months old with some of the testing being at 30mg/kg. ... I think i got confused between your guys' overall dose (e.g. 100mg) vs. the dose "rule" (e.g. 30mg/kg).

Big question... Nice. ... As per the "why south america and africa have higher crime yet equally lower poverty rates than south asian countries?"... the first thing I think of is potential cultural values differences. I dunno. One thing sticks out to me in that, from what I understand, south america and africa are more colonized (I could be totally wrong here)... which may have something to do with it that I can't understand at the moment.

Matt23 replied to Neph's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I was thinking of this as well. In Objective Personality (the most researched-backed typology system I've seen), they commonly say that you get "tidal waves" (commonly reoccurring issues in life) from the lack of respect, sense of responsibility, and overall unconsciousness and lack of mastery for your bottom function. In Leo's case, since he's probably lead Ti (personal reasons), his bottom would be Fe (feelings with the tribe, "taking care of" and feeling responsible for the vibe of the tribe and what they value). Makes sense. -
Those sound like high doses (50mg and 100mg). Did you guys start lower and then work up to those?
