I totally agree with Leo!! Reality boils down to consciousness and not logic. Science will NEVER be able to study consciousness because the spirit is not logical, that's why science only spreads autism and other problems like for example with vaccines that should not be given to children. Don't get me wrong, science is important, but the core of the mind is simply off-limits and should not forced into a logical cage, it CANNOT be logically understood. And if we truly understand this and, as Leo says, we realize that logic is a tool of the ego, it is a big part of the problem and the reason why for example Trump even gets elected, we can focus only on consciousness and improve our life a lot. Logic is COLD. You can build a rocket with it and fly to the moon but you can't solve humanity's suffering with it, those are issues of the soul. At least that's what I got from Leo's "Why rationality is wrong" video.

@MasterJames There's no purpose. Things happen and you decide what to do, and then you die. I don't see much purpose on that.

A skull as thumbnail and that title? I mean, let's be serious. It clearly seems some shady clickbait wannabe video about religion fanatics or whatever. If science would have found God, everyone would know at this point, and it wouldn't be on a random youtube video.

Why do you even need life purpose? Things happen and you just do what makes you most happy, easy.

I read something about it that was connected with meditation and also how we are fooled by our memories but I don't know enough of how the brain works to say that the memory actually changes. This video gives a nice overview over the process of memories being changed and we thinking something it was actually not correct.

You probably learn more while operating a business than going to college, although it depends a lot in which degree you are thinking about.

It might to a certain extent, right? I think there are studies that say that people are more happy when they hit a certain threshold of money.

@Tancrede Pouyat What course are you talking about? I am new here.
-
Yes, of course. But both have to be very aware whether there's any attraction at any point. It's not anyones fault, it's just life.

Animals are very smart creatures, some of them even smarter than babies. And there's a reason (most) people don't feel superior to babies, it doesn't make sense to compare oranges with apples.

Donald Clinton or Hillary Trump, now that's the real question!

Hi everyone, my name is Jon. My story is very simple. Since I was very young, my parents always had huge expectations for me. They both had a lot of success in their areas of expertise and I always looked up to them. Right now, I'm in the first year of university, studying computer science and I don't know how to deal with this pressure. Every time I get a bad mark, I have a breakdown and I feel so down and depressed because I really try hard. The worst thing is knowing that a bad mark is the best I could've done. I'm a perfeccionist, just like my parents and I always aim to do really well. But after I get a bad mark, I always tell myself that I will do better next time and I am always determined to improve. However, this is really affecting me negatively and I don't know how long can I keep this attitude, it is just draining me emotionally. I also get really devastated when others have better grades than me when I know they don't try as hard. Do you guys have any advice on how to deal with this? This is really getting the best out of me...

I always wanted to pursue neuroscience, the medical field but my father thinks I can later devote myself to it, even academically but cs is more safe, basically. The only problem being that it really bothers me to study something that I don't enjoy, a lot of math and my marks fall short also because of that.

My father tells me that this are of expertise will grant me safe job, safe money. He also says that my passion will change as I grow up, his whole shpeel is basically that he knows what he is saying because he has a lot of life experience, I cant even argue. I've been trying to let go of what others think but its really hard, at this point it doesnt seem something I can control. I dont meditate but I was intrigued by Leo videos on meditation, will check it out.
