"I commit to a path of mastery" "I commit to not fall into self-delusions from the ego" Yes I think it would but I would follow only one at a time until you can make it a daily habit then add more as you progress until it sticks. The trick here is to be consistent with them everyday without missing a day, so if you try to add too much at a time it can fall apart pretty easily. Daily journals can be very helpful for this, write down your goals and commitments in the morning so you have something to focus on and then review it in the evening to see what can be improved upon

Bebop replied to Peace and Love's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's a good affirmation to have, I need to practice that myself Yeah also I understand what you mean about making it stronger, sometimes life can get difficult especially when you try to act stronger than you feel. Personally I've found myself crying a lot now that I've let myself become more vulnerable and I've found a lot of purification through that process. I wish you luck in your journey, you got this! -

@Peace and Love So during my three shroom trips that question came up every time for me and the answer always came back the same. "You Are Perfect". Yeah I agree with you, I think often times we get caught up comparing ourselves to others or trying to find that relationship that will make us happy that we forget it's all a distraction from looking inward. Best advice I can give you is to just be authentic, it was difficult at first but what I realized is that I suppressed my feelings a lot in order to feel validated to others. Also make sure you acknowledge those thoughts, if you try to deny them they are going to keep coming back stronger. I'd recommend meditating on it for a while and see if that helps -
Bebop replied to d0ornokey's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@d0ornokey I had this recently and I asked my teacher about it and she said it could be one of two things. 1) A message from your higher self, ask yourself where the pain is coming from the next time you have it. 2) A defense mechanism from your ego, it's going to try to stay alive at any cost. Personally haven't tried them myself yet but I'm hoping that it resolves the problem -
Hello All! Tonight while meditating to Leo's guided mediation I went into a pretty deep trance where my sense of self disappeared and I merged into reality which I have gotten used to. Although this time was a little different, my body was completely paralyzed and I couldn't move. Then I opened my eyes and my awareness felt like it was expanding a little bit but there was a really intense pain where my head felt like it was going to explode. I tried to accept it without any resistance but the pain became unbearable and my body ended up collapsing out of the state. Anyone have any idea if this is safe? Should I stop meditating for a little while?

@retardedhorse1 I've gone through similar phases as you have and what I realized is that I was detaching myself from reality too much. Try to find hobbies or activities that you enjoy doing and immerse yourself in them, I've found that it takes my mind off of the obsession of trying to find out what is real. It's definitely a struggle going through this cycle but just remember, nothing bad can happen to you even though it can seem horrible at first. Personally I'm finally breaking through and I see reality as completely meaningless and my feelings are neutral towards it but I mean that in a completely positive light even though it sounds a little depressing. Just have faith in the process and everything else will fall into place

@SaynotoKlaus I lost my mind a long time ago haha! Actually I've done hundreds if not thousands of hours of mindfulness work so I'm pretty grounded in what my true self is. The problem I've been facing lately though is a lot of shifts in awareness and energy moving through my body which can be uncomfortable at times -
Bebop replied to Bebop's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yeah I was actually listening to that at work today since it's been a while since I checked it out. The closest thing I can think of was my mind was trying to astral project since I've felt similar sensations during my attempts at that. It was pretty violent so maybe I just got rejected haha. Yeah I'm thinking I just need to relax a little bit, going through a very stressful transition and I've been stuck in my head a lot. Sometimes I forget to take a breather from this intense work -

@Light Lover Yeah we are all characters playing the same game, only we are pretending not to be Had a pretty funny shroom trip today where I couldn't stop laughing about the fact that I thought I was going to die someday haha -
Bebop replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Light Lover It is at first but after a while you get used to it, even though there's nothing here the fact that it is so complex just completely amazes me -
@beatlesman It's not the experience itself but the realization that there is no one having the experience

Yeah AxelK also brings up a good point that I forgot to mention. Finding a good therapist or at least someone who you can talk about these issues is very important. I've been doing this work for about two years now and I noticed after the first year a lot of emotional baggage came out and I was constantly in and out of hospitals due to panic attacks. I finally gave in and went to a therapist which has helped me tremendously on top of doing this work. Looking back on it though made me the person I am today though so I'm grateful for the experiences, and I hope the same will happen for you.

I get those experiences pretty often, I like to think of it as emptiness giving me a hug I agree, it's insane what the mind is capable of when you get out of it's way

@Simone Hello Simone! I'd recommend watching Leo's video on How To Deal With Strong Negative Emotions if you haven't already. It sounds like you have a lot of emotional wounds that need to be healed but the most important part is to learn to let go and accept the past. Personally I struggled with this a lot myself but by allowing myself to be vulnerable and forgiving the people that have hurt me in the past have helped me tremendously. It's going to be difficult at times but those negative emotions are going to make you a much stronger person if you can accept them. Good luck on your journey, I wish you the best

Bebop replied to Empty's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Empty Yeah in the stage you are in now there is going to be a lot of purging and negative emotions are going to come up, just keep giving love to yourself. Eventually your authentic desires are going to come out, just keep working on through it and keep growing. Have faith in the process -
Bebop replied to Empty's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EmptyHaha I'm close but yet it still feels so far away, I've learned to stop chasing it though The fact is that you are the source experiencing itself in the form of a human being. The ego is a tool used to help you navigate though this physical world, while you go through your day just notice your thoughts and feelings. Ask yourself where they are coming from? If you can be consistent with this you'll realize that they come and go but one thing remains the same, and that is you -
Bebop replied to Empty's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Empty I'd say its more about contemplation and mindfulness work rather than meditating, just be completely aware of your thoughts and what you are doing at all times. Meditation just helps you see that more clearly Stage 7 "This stage is sometimes characterized by the recognition that our meditation practice cannot 'get' us anything, as ordinary reality is already the case, and is already our true nature." I made it through most of these stages without a sitting meditation habit, but I also had an intense focus on seeing through the ego. -
Bebop replied to Empty's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Awesome! I was actually wondering about this since Leo mentioned it a while ago, this is very accurate based on my own experiences. I'd say I'm at stage 8, kinda funny looking back on it since the very thing I was searching for was in front of me the whole time haha. Now I finally understand why they tell us that we are already enlightened -
Bebop replied to Earnothing's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes I've found that it's really powerful, might be a little difficult at first but it's definitely the best technique I've used so far. Doing 2 hours a day now and there have been really great results with it -
Bebop replied to Earnothing's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Earnothing I actually just finished my strong determination sitting and I just experienced myself in an empty state of awareness again... haha! To be honest I've found that just doing a lot of mindfulness helps a lot, I actually don't do a lot of self-inquiry during my meditations anymore unless I reach a state where nothing is happening -
Bebop replied to Earnothing's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Earnothing Awesome man, I made my first breakthrough with that method as well. I've found that strong determination sittings with do nothing have worked much better for me lately though, it seems to be able to reproduce it pretty often. Experiment with a few different methods until you can find one that feels right for you -

Bebop replied to Raquel's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Raquel I was actually just talking to my therapist about planning a visit to Rishikesh! A little nervous about making a trip there but sounds like it might be worth it -
Bebop replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Seems like a lot of pointless debating going on here, can't complain though its pretty entertaining . Anyway the pdf was pretty interesting, definitely some radical ideas although I'm still quite skeptical about it. -
Bebop replied to Stoica Doru's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Stoica DoruI completely understand what you are going through and it's pure hell. The best advice I can give you is to find things you enjoy doing and just let yourself get lost in the moment, for me it was listening to music and reading books on spirituality. Don't be afraid to break down and cry, let yourself feel the emotions. Remember you aren't alone on this path, we are all in this together even though sometimes it feels like we are lost. This will pass eventually just hang in there man, remember what doesn't kill you makes you stronger- 19 replies
