  1. Was just about to come here to post it! I absolutely loved this video and it deserves a watch from everyone!
  2. My instinctive advice is to seek out some kind of medium who is familiar with working with spirits and just talk to her about your situation. Many of these mediums can give you insight about what to do in your situation...perhaps you can find one on Yelp or something and often they will charge for their services but it is definitely something to look into.
  3. Been hanging out w a lot of green people lately and many of them believe that certain crystals like quartz can benefit your meditation because they give off energies and can be used for grounding or as catalysts during healing...like reiki... I'm very openminded to this stuff and I even bought some Crystals of my own...I purchased some amethyst and shungite just to see if it has any effects on me. However I personally dont notice any effects and I'm sure that other people are more sensitive to energies...but all in all I think that crystals are overrated and can probably only be used properly by those who are trained. Was just wondering if anyone knows anything about crystals and if they can be used as legit tools for spirituality or if it's just a gimmick... Thanks guys
  4. Spiral dynamics is a complex model. I wouldn't expect a clear answer to this question since Buddha lived over 2000 years ago and he was supposedly enlightened. Siddartha's ancient society was likely in the very low stages like purple and red. This would have likely limited his growth in all lines of development. Don't ask these types of black and white questions about spiral dynamics unless you are willing to research all of the material. Leo has said that the model's value lies in its complexity and nuance and I would agree. Many beginners have this notion that enlightened people are automatically stage turquoise and that's just not true...furthermore, spiral dynamics as a model does not do a good job of incorporating awakened conciousness where apparently Ken Wilber's integral models (which I havent studied much myself) do. To conclude, I understand your curiosity but ultimately your question can be answered by studying the model yourself. Watch all of Leo's content on the topic it's very comprehensive.
  5. Checkout Sam Ovens and Max Tornow on YouTube...they offer online courses (one of which I purchased) that teach you how to become an online coach in a specific niche.
  6. Wow...this is a very complex topic. Difficult to understand. Conventionally we believe that for a dream to occur there must be a dream-er. This is nonsense. While you are dreaming, there is only dream. The dream-er is further context that is added on by thoughts. The dream itself is the dream-er. Also, a mind does not have to occur within anything. Software without hardware. When Leo says "Mind" he doesn't mean "brain." Mind is not occuring within another mind. It just is. It's occuring within Nothing I guess...but Mind and Nothing are just labels pointing towards the same incomprehensible Oneness. It's really complex stuff...took me years to wrap my head around it. I'd reccomend watching and studying every video on this channel while meditating and doing psychedlics if you want to understand. If not, then there is no use wasting your time thinking about it.
  7. Read the books on Leo's book list instead. I cant even begin to articulate the radical shift that will occur in the trajectory of your entire life.
  8. LMFAO where do I start... In my opinion this is the biggest gold mine of content on the entire internet. The quality of content is super advanced and Leo explains some of the most complex topics known to humans in simple-to-understand ways. To be perfectly honest you would be a fool not to watch every video on this website. My entire life has changed drastically along with my understanding of all of reality. Theres something special here. Dont be a fool and take this for granted
  9. Thanks for sharing! David Deida is the real deal and I also get many profound insights about masculine and feminine and the divine sexual act that is Existence when I trip on mushrooms. Existence is like God fucking itself. The masculine (empty awareness) allows for and penetrates all form (feminine). And of course, they cannot be separated. For one without the other is nonsense. Feminine is the forest and Masculine is the person walking through the forest (the empty awareness that allows the forest to be). Feminine can't exist without Masculine and Masculine doesn't exist (only as Nothing). Other insights that I have gotten about masculine and feminine that you may find interesting (most of this comes from talking w one of my girl-friends on mushrooms) Feminine: - life affirming - compassionate - expresses love through acceptance and "yes" and "its okay" (motherly love) - likes to create problems because the feminine is movement and flow...the flow of problems never stops - often chooses to be ignorant, does not value "knowing" Masculine: - life destroying (KILL, KILL, KILL!) - stern, strict - expresses love through ridicule and pointing out failures, "no" , "you are doing this wrong." - needs to solve problems, always craves emptiness and release from tension - highly values knowing, exploration, and logic because these are tools for solving problems This list goes on and on... Would reccomend David Deida's Way of the Surperior Man Teachings sessions only available on Audible.com The teachings are not just a re-hashing of the way of the Surperior man...he goes into more detail. Planning on having my first LSD trip soon. Wish me luck!
  10. Good question! It's all about consistency. 10-15 pages a day means about 2 books per month which is fantastic. It is important to choose books that resonate with you and that are relevant to current problems that you feel you have in your life. Dont feel like you have to read every book cover to cover. Sometimes you will get bored of one and switch to another. As long as you're reading SOMETHING consistently. Also, it is entirely possible that certain books are too hard for you as Leo has many advanced books on his list that may not be relevant enough to your life. About notes: I also find it difficult to take notes every time I read. But I always read with a pen and underline and make margin notes. So if I feel like it is a very dense book that I will read a second time. I will go back through all the underlined passages and add important ones to my commonplace book. If anyone has found an effective way to take notes while reading then please share!
  11. I recently had an odd...but rather interesting insight on mushrooms. This came right after a nondual state of conciousness that I had with my friend who is into crystals. I was working a lot on unifying dualities and I realized that I was God (I feel like I could've went much deeper but anyways). First of all, a distinction must be made between the masculine and the feminine. The masculine is unchanging conciousness, Nothingness, that which sits "behind" and "allows" for the forms to exist. The feminine is the constantly changing dance of forms. Although the masculine and the feminine are identical, they need each other to exist... The feminine is the world of dualities (differences). The masculine is the unification of dualities (sameness). My friend was saying that crystals are important because each of them has their own specific energy. Later I realized why this is important. A Crystal's vibe or structure or energy is always a certain type of way and not another type of way. Just like all forms. But...crystals are important because their structure is very dense and fixed. Meaning that crystals "hold differences." In this way, crystals are an important factor in Creation. This also explains why feminines are generally drawn towards types of spirituality that is very "surface" because it is all about attracting certain desirable forms and getting rid of negative ones. While masculines are interested in being liberated from the attachment to all forms as the Ultimate Death. I'm not really sure what my "point" is but crystals definitely play a bigger role in the structure of reality than any old types of rocks. For the reason that they "hold differences". My reasoning isnt super flushed out and I would take what I'm saying here with a grain of salt but it is definitely interesting.
  12. ...imagine where you or I would be without Actualized.org... Plus, that's the point of being a master. To be honest. It seems to me like you are lacking understanding if you would say something like the above quoted. Technology is NOT a low-conciousness thing...it can contain low conciousness content but it's just a tool that is EXTREMELY USEFUL and amazing and beautiful and is the number 1 tool for learning/study. And also Leo's duality videos are so fundamental to anything I think you would have to be a serious fool not to force yourself to sit through the entire thing because "you already know everything"
  13. Been following actualized.org religiously for about 3 years now and I just wanted to formally thank (for probably the 9th time) @Leo Gura for being a very good teacher. I am 19 years old and I am a "gifted" student. I always got into trouble in school because I would get 90s without trying. But basically what I want to say is that the content on Actualized.org is almost 100% responsible for giving me the tools to reach my full potential as a human, thinker, and future leader. I am grateful every day for what Leo has archived here on this website. Today I did shrooms and I was able to have so many deep insights about Reality that are only possible because of the material that I have been studying. (Most of which stems from this website in some way) I'm so thankful that IM ONLY 19 and I've already been on the path towards becoming a sage for 3 years and I've already seen so much growth and I cant wait to continue to work on myself while also leading others along the path as well in my own, authentic, and creative way. THANKS LEO! I don't know you but I owe you my whole life and I would definitely burst into tears if we ever met in person LOL :))
  14. You are correct. However for me personally, these videos have helped guide my contemplation and have created a conceptual reservoir of concepts that I can use to help me wrap my mind around my psychedlic experiences. Just because these recent videos about duality do not resonate with you it doesn't mean that they are not important or useful. At the end of the day you can do whatever you want but since you're so interested in reading, what's the difference between reading and listening to an audiobook or listening to Leo. The content is often redundant for a reason...
  15. @Jj13 why do you want to know? Many people are pressured by culture to attend a university even if it is not what they are interested in. I have ultimately decided not to attend university and instead study private sources of info such as online courses, books, and lectures. I am also interested in spirituality and I'm telling you that if you want to learn about this area of life and you feel like this is your life purpose, then university will only waste your time, money, and energy. (All while giving you the false sense that you are actually accomplishing something) Don't feel pressured to go to university just for the sake of going...many people fall into this trap and it's luckily one that I was able to avoid
  16. I was at this debate live as I live in Toronto...not that I particularly like either speaker but I just wanted to see what was going on... My insights. 1. The audience claps at inappropriate times...suggesting that many people do not understand the academic jargon language that both speakers are very fluent in. 2. Both Peterson and Zizek are very stage yellow thinkers. At least in the cognitive line of development. 3. At one point they talk about "God" and both speakers completely miss the mark and have no clue what they're talking about. 4. When asked "How does one achieve happiness?" Peterson responds "By trying to act in accordance with what one believes to be the highest good and to be honest with others." Like...what... Hes partially correct but that's such dangerous advice to give to people...the ego can misuse thay advice so easily. A better answer would be "Google actualized.org" LOL But then JP would lose many followers because if he starts to give any REAL happiness advice (meditation). Then all of his blue/ORANGE followers would hate him. Side note: I'm pretty sure this guy just got off anti-depressants a few years ago...who are you to tell people how to be happy? 4b. Clearly Peterson is fully repressing stage green in his political, spiritual and emotional lines of development. 5. Zizek made some great meta-points about how any ideology can be used for evil...including the most pure ones like Zen Buddhism, unfortunately, these nuggets of wisdom clearly fall on deaf ears as the audience chuckles at the absurdity of zizek's description of "the enlightened state." Overall: Both speakers have valuable insights and are both nuanced thinkers but unfortunately are too unconcious to be effective leaders and their followers lack the necessary epistemological framework to sort the wheat from the chaffe. Side note: I was constantly getting the urge to get up on that stage and speak in layman's terms, so that people could understand... you'll see me up there one day... that's definitely my life purpose.
  17. @clouffy take the test at 16personalities.com Having the intuitive trait does not mean that you do not care about the outside world... I guess it just means that you prefer to use your mental energy for certain things as opposed to others. Read up on it at 16personalities.com
  18. @Andreas @Serotoninluv took the time to write a very sincere and personal message to you that was very insightful Please, at this point I would like to kindly ask you to leave this forum as you are no longer contributing to any type of productive discussion. Peace and love you to my friend ❤
