  1. Motivation is a construct of the mind. Some would call it a illusion, but that's a whole other subject. So is not being motivated to do something. Or making up a million reasons why not to do something so you can just sit and watch series on Netflix. It does sometimes help to look at the reasons behind the motivation. And being open to being brutally honest with yourself. Sure the ego loves validation. But do you really need to keep up this delusion to be happy or can you see yourself to be happier without it? Of cause since that's probably the reason for your post. Could we also say that this post is a request for validation? I think yes, and there's nothing wrong with that, That's how our egos work. Im doing it right now as well, and pretending im not, doesn't bring me anything.
  2. @Bookum Im a ex people pleaser. Sit down and think about where you want to be in 5 years. And dont limmit yourself with the millions of thouths about not being able to xyz. Your own wants will turn out to be much more motivational the you currently believe.
  3. Its kind of a mindfuck as the ego is asking if it should change into a diferent ego. Or seek something that it wants or values but is afraid of the path it might have to take. This is ego and doesnt really have anything to do with enlightenment. One must not forget that enlightenment is not about learning something or doing something but instead unlearning and stop doing so much.
  4. @RossE It is, but you are going at it wrong and are asking the wrong questions. p.s. apologies in advance for pissing of your ego
  5. Losing all motivation is a other ego trap. People that go sit in a cave and meditate all day long and call themselves enlightened are often far from it. Ones you reach enlightenment you will have no motivation problems, you just have in a sense more control over them.
  6. I am not say it is easy, but in order to solve something you need to find the problem first. Or you don't and keep fantasizing and looking for shortcuts.
  7. Thats probably the reason for the teaching. If you desire love (like everyone) and are not attached to it, would it still lead to suffering?
  8. @Dodoster I must disagree. Desire is absolutely fine and amazing and it doesn't lead to suffering. Only the attachment does. I so desire a steak for dinner today. And i am literally going to go now and buy one ones if finish writing this. I am however not attached to this desire as i see if for what it is. So if they don't have any steaks today (very unlikely ), it doesn't cause me any suffering, since i wont be standing there mentally masturbating for a hour about not getting steak, ill just buy chicken wings instead .
  9. @Afonso The 68 is more of a joke. As to me the question kind of sounds like, "hey whats the solution to this imaginary problem i have created in my mind, hey do some of this stuff....". Guess me saying its imaginary will so piss of the ego, but it piss on the ego Anxiety is known to come from thoughts (or any emotion for that matter). You probably see some stuff during the 5-meo that is causing certain thoughts that trigger the emotional response. Do not ignore the small thought or the obvious ones (as the simple ones are usually the hidden ones you don't know about). When you find out what though is causing it ("in your imagination") you can fix that and change the results.
  10. @Afonso Run around your house 68 times and it should go away . What thoughts are causing the fear?
  11. @Will Bigger The eye can never see itself. And it doesn't give a shit either
  12. N.v.m, the crazy statement however seems reasonably accurate do
  13. @Shin Many. And it stopped with set realization. It might not help to say so but i hope it does.
  14. Is that that crazy femenist on youtube?
  15. Happy Jesus day everyone Feliz navidad
  16. @renegade_bee Pain is pain but suffering is self inflicted. Use your pain to wake up from your mental masturbation. Let me put it in perspective: Is depression is disease like the flue, and can you get it from a bacteria or virus? Or is it something your creating yourself (like ex. stress)? I might sound like a asshole in your delusion but to me this is the same as saying your going to kill yourself because your iPhone got stolen.
  17. @harisankartj It comes down to replacing one illusion with a other illusion, sure you can label one as better or superior, it hover doesn't change set fact.
  18. @BeginnerActualizer Actually its not contradictory at all, then again, ask yourself, what truly is a contradiction if you let go of your beliefs? One must do a, b, c, d, e, etc to reach 0? See the problem with that? Sure you can meditate for a year, eat 2 ice-creams a day, put a potato under your pillow, what ever makes you feel like you are getting somewhere. Then again that is the problem. As there is nowhere to get to.
  19. @Martin123 Focus on what you want for yourself. And dont forget to be yourself and not who others want you to be. Or lets say: self pleasing instead of people pleasing.
  20. Nothing can not be explained by something. In a sense one can not remember the "Experience Of Enlightenment".
  21. Mooji and Adyashanti have some great guided meditation videos on youtube.
  22. @Extreme Z7 A harsh truth to swallow is that happiness only maters to the ego. You don't need to do anything to accepting reality as it is, you just need to stop not accepting it.
  23. Whats happening here is Ego A thinks its superior to Ego B, Ego C is listening to Ego A and Ego D is observing go C. Your "none optional beliefs" are causing these attachments.
  24. @Rahul yadav When you stop attaching yourself to those thoughts they in a sense become as meaningfull as the thought of a tomato. Do not mistake your thoughts of selfness on being anything more then thoughts, that come and go, like all others.
