  1. @Sharpadox Set bigger goals for yourself. Long term goals. What do you want in a week, a month, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years? Ever played world of warcraft +12 hours a day, every day, to get level 80 or 90 or whatever it is now? Thats somewhat of a long term goal, it takes lots of time and effort, and half of the way your not even enjoying playing the game, you just desperately want to reach that level. Or grinding something for days just to get that one item. This seems so effortless because you are constantly thinking about what you are getting when you finally done it, you are focusing on the future. You can do the same with your life.
  2. @bflare Enlightenment is only a realization, you still need to eat, and want to do something. Self development gives you tools that you can use when you choose to do so. When you for example learn about marketing, you get the tools you need to go out and promote something. Without these tools it becomes very difficult, enlightened or not.
  3. Do you want a "magical forget pill" so you can go back to feel the way that you did before?
  4. @Ariel In very simple terms, they way i understand it (please correct me if im wrong). Leo is saying that you should set goals for yourself and follow your life's purpose and not let yourself get distracted. When you want to achieve something, but instead spend all your time watching tv you will not achieve it. Or at least you are putting of the thing you really want with some cheap stimulation. And life is short, every day is one day closer to death. Still there is nothing wrong with fun. These are all just concepts / tools you can use. If i would completely follow the above i would have not even posted this message.
  5. Fapping is fun, everyone likes doing it, be honest guys Doing it with a partner is even better do. Fap ones per day, and keep ball cancer away. Advantages, disadvantages blablabla. Any obsession is bad. If that's porn or eating hamburgers doesn't matter. Thats my 2 cents.
  6. Yep, magical pills do not exist. Leo has also mentioned this in some of this videos. When people start searching, the first thing they always look for is a magical pill, and they do not want to hear that such pill does not exist. Meditation is a tool you can use to achieve enlightenment, however its not a requirement. When people are not being honest with themselves, they can meditate all they want, but will never reach enlightenment. Thus kind of making all of it just a other thing to do so there ego mind can feel extra important/special.
  7. @MARTIN LENNARD Legs falling asleep, itching sensations, pains in your neck, etc are just sensations. Your mind tends to make them a lot worse then they are (or even panic). I personally sit true them as eventually you realize its just a feeling in the body (and you stop labeling it).
  8. @Frode Now you mention it, yes also. I mean a sort intro on every video. For example Leo's videos, the intro on his videos give you a reasonable idea on what to expect. For someone that already knows your channel its not relevant. But for people that dont know you and find a video and click it. Question nr1 is always, what is this.
  9. @NutellaTC That is awareness from the egos perspective. Its trying to make sense of something its incapable of doing. Awareness just is, and you always have it. When you are identifying less with your thoughts/mind it is your awareness doing that. If that makes sense to you. To me it sounds like you are making good progress. So you might as well let your ego compliment you a little on what you have achieved.
  10. @Frode Dont fal in the trap where you care to much do. When you care to much what people think of you when watching your videos you get a lot of sabotaging beliefs. Try not to care at all of people opinons when making a video. Leo has some good videos about this. The real you is more atractive to people than the fake you. I would also say that you need a intro. With all the good stuff.
  11. @Mikey Radical open mindedness and brutal honesty with yourself are crucial to achieve enlightenment. The first however doesn't mean you dont have opinions and the second doesn't mean you dont have preferences. Leo (and wise man before him) have talked a lot about the ego and how it can trick you. This obviously apply's to everyone including the teacher himself. My intentions are the same as you, i do not wish for anyone to get stuck in delusion. Now you know the intent and should understand the context of my message. @cetus56 O yes, when you find something useful, use it, every experience remains a experience. Just dont take anything on blind faith (even when it comes from your own mind).
  12. @cetus56 Disagree but understand your motive. Sure it can help and do good, but IMO its just to unpredictable and hard to validate.
  13. @Mikey That's fine, i have am open-minded about it but just dont see it as valid, the figures are just a example to show that people dream about things they pay attention to (as in a christian never thinks about Buddha and thus doesn't dream about it).
  14. @RossE Reality will not change, being blunt, reality doesn't care about you or your opinions. Just like your car (if you have one) doesn't care if you like that it breaks down or needs fuel. This sounds logical and obvious. But does it? When your car breaks down, are you not angry and frustrated? If so, why?
  15. May i be the barer of bad news and say its just a dream, you are bound to dream about enlightenment related subjects when you read about it. Christians never dream about Buddha and Buddhists never dream about Jesus.
  16. @Happiness See your ego for what it is. A tool to navigate this world (depending on definition of ego). See it, use it, just dont be it. Be what you know you are and see your mind as a tool for you to use. Be brutally honest with yourself and let go.
  17. @Jared Gregory I dont know your mind, but for me the best time is in the morning, as my mind is often full with memory's of dreams and other nonsense. And the meditation helps to calm my mind and clear it out.
  18. Maybe being offensively honest but the more you know about what people really think the more you can do with that. First though going thru my head before clicking play was: kid trying to sell me a book. Then i was expecting you to tel me how to make like a million dollars or something. At second glance it looks more like a book review, but its not (i think). Kind of confused as what to label it. Also noticed that during the "How to Become a Straight-A Student" you are much more comfortable talking about it. With this video i get the feeling your not that comfortable or if you are reading. Marketing wise tel people know what to expect, and present in a charismatic(i.o.w. confident) way.
  19. Being honest, i didn't watch the whole video cause i got bored. You for sure look motivated to make this work do (and that's 90% of the way).
  20. @RossE Being a searcher im going to assume you have learned a few things here and have come to realizations that already have changed the way you think. In its core, enlightenment is just one more of those, just a little/alot harder to grasp. There is no magic involved do. Ifs like chi kung in kung fu, ones you learn it you realize that there are no magical super powers.
  21. @SimpleTruth Same thing happened to me when i found this stuff, you want to know it all, and you want to know it right now. It will take your mind some time to process this. Dont overfill it with to many concepts at ones. We can only focus on one thing at a time.
  22. @electroBeam In its most basic form: to calm the mind. And since the mind is often like a monkey on steroids, calming it down can be very useful.
  23. @spicy_pickles You can not predict the future, so stop trying to do that. You can also think about it this way: You are worried about not getting something that you dont have. Does that make send?
  24. @Lorcan Hi! You can not plan your life with mathematical precision since to many events occur and things constantly change. A robot would take roughly 2 hours to do that (calculating traveling time, etc). But you are not a robot, nor should you be one. Im sure that if you take a stopwatch or timer you are able to find out exactly where your time is going.
  25. @Grant6 I know where you are coming from since i was there myself. I have sabotaged myself a lot. All these thoughts in your head telling you what you can and cant do and what you should and shouldn't do. The truth however is, that you can do what ever you want, and you dont have to listen to these thoughts. I myself was a people-pleaser. Leo has a great video on that if you are in the same boot.
