  1. @Peace and Love In both cases they are constructs. The only thing that changes is the awareness of set constructs. And the other constructs that get created as a result.
  2. @Bronsoval A other option is to just do it. I know this sounds obviuse, but then again why dont you. Overthinking and reason / shortcut searching usualy gets in the way of action. It might also help to be aware of this.
  3. @BeginnerActualizer Ego A is thinking them, Ego B disagrees, Ego C says you cant predict the future. Your "i" is just looking at them.
  4. @Deep You believe yourself to be the ego. Thats the illusion. Or you believe yourself not to be the ego and have created a other ego to look at the other ego. Same thing.
  5. @Soulbass Only the ego cares about this question. So to the "I" asking it: no.
  6. Without concepts its impossible to communicate or do anything. The idea of Free Will is pointless. Having it or not doesn't change anything. Do not love or hate your ego, as both are ego.
  7. Thank you for putting a image of a T-Rex boning a unicorn in my mind To a certain extend everything you see (or think you see) is equal to the picture of a T-Rex boning a unicorn. You only see reflections of the projections you make. You don't put your hand in the fire cause you project that it will cause pain. Which is good and sensible. You however also project a ton of stuff that is not good and sensible.
  8. Maslows pyramid says what you need. If you are missing something you compensate. And become neurotic. You are stuck with it unless you transend.
  9. @Peace and Love Just be aware of the thoughts and the pain it causes and stop looking for a escape and supressing the thoughts. My dad also died of cancer.
  10. Being aware is the only thing you always are. Progress in a sense is a illusion. Thoughts come and go. Emotions come and go. Sensations come and go. Awareness is always.
  11. @Dodoster That what cares about enlightenment is preventing you from getting enlightened and can not reach enlightenment.
  12. As long as you are aware of what you are doing i don't see a problem.
  13. @Pauline Bureau Enlightenment is about freedom from the mind. Whatever belief you need to motivate yourself is fine. But for enlightenment its meaningless.
  14. Any belief you are attached to is on itself a limiting belief. So yes. It however might have its practical aplications.
  15. @Kevster Accept that what you are experiencing is just in your head. Your life's story as a though has equal value than a though of a potato. The only difference is that you don't mentally masturbate about potatoes (usually). Rock bottom = Lack of positive stimulation + negative mental masturbation ? Wake up.
  16. @hundreth Homeostasis is a bitch. First work on not being a introvert anymore. Leo has plenty of videos on that, like stop caring what people think of you etc. Anyone who searches enlightenment does it for that reason or because they (in there minds) get super powers. And that is totally fine, since we need something motivational. All the reasoning you wrote i project as self justification for not taking action and staying in homeostasis. Be mindful not of the constant discussions you are having in your head, but that you are neither of the persons having the discussion.
  17. @Whatev3r Ask yourself who cares about everything you just posted here. And just be aware of it, dont judge as that is not being aware.
  18. @rush We are designed for survival. Everything somewhat related to safety (delusional or logical) is automated. Sinse the world we live in is so diferent from lets say caveman its gotten quite screwed up. We constantly predict posible outcomes for set reason.
  19. @Gabor Bornemissza Do it alot. Think less. Be aware. And make a daily habit of it (excl meditation). P.s. dont fight or try to controle emotions. just be aware of them when you can.
  20. Who you think you are is just makebelief.
  21. @Dodoster I mainly mean emotional suffering. When you attach to thoughts, more thoughts come and so do emotions. The horrible and the tomato are the same, its just that most people (in comparison) don't attach much to a tomato (unless that's like your favorite food ). I have never seen anyone cry or suffer because of a tomato.
  22. @ygorborges2 The real paradox is that you are suffering because you make yourself suffer. In perspective, picture the most horrible memory/thought you have. Now picture a memory/thought of a tomato. Whats really the difference between these thoughts (outcomes like emotional reactions excluded)?
