  1. The question I had for myself was, "Why are we not all doing this?" If you can fly to another country & just pick the hottest woman from a group, as an example, "I choose this one." & go about your relationship seems a lot easier than working on game or having to put any effort in doing the same with local women. If every man in America accepted that they were fine with giving up half their cash for nothing, having their fierce, passionate emotions for the trophy wife symbol smashed & broken, paying child support, becoming a weekend Dad, & so on. I would think this type of pain would be astronomical & even predictable, to the point that no sane man would choose it on purpose. I'm pretty sure I've heard Leo say we've died alone. Maybe I'm mistaken? Nobody goes with you, even if a bunch of other people died around you. I did mention some enlightenment concepts to the guy, about how we're all one thing, nothing but space between atoms & 98% water, but he said it was bullshit. He doesn't think we come back as something else or that all of this is eternal. It's difficult to discuss such things at a bar & I only know about it through the teachings without firsthand experience. But thanks for your input. I agree with you that I was pissed about my judgement being questioned & flawed. So true. lol.
  2. @Jamie Universe Correct, it's not crazy in a clinical sense. More like a new mind-fuck to consider. I'm just trying to figure out how someone would see the above as an acceptable life choice & argue for it, rather than against it. @aurum Well, he was married for 15 years, he's had a few gfs, & has spent a great deal of time & money sleeping with hookers around town which he had showed me how to get through a phone app (out of curiosity for me, I'm not interested in hookers & wasting money). I think he really just wants a trophy wife. Someone that looks great that he can parade around & that is not a basket case. Although I would think that someone who looks stunning would often-times come with a lot of psychological baggage, but I've never met this woman, only saw the photos & bragging rights. I guess due to his age, attitude, or some other factor, has limited his options in the area in finding one, so now he's looking to another country to get one. @YaNanNallari You're right. I shouldn't have brought it up. I think I told him about the green card hunters because I probably wanted to find out how he was justifying the action of marrying one of them. Just a few years ago, there was another guy at the bar who had done the same thing. He married & brought over a Thai woman & paraded her around the bar a few times. Then at some point, he picked up a coke addiction, lost his mind, & disappeared. Nobody even knows if he's homeless or dead. We're all sure the Thai woman is out of his life. In fact, if I visit a few of the Thai restaurants in the city I live in, it is packed full of expat Thai women who married foreigners & then divorced them after they got their citizenship. They simply divorce & re-marry & the ones I've met are very attracted to people with money from oil & gas. Many have a series of failed marriages or because they're single Moms, they never get anyone to stick around for long. The oil & gas guys used to go into that restaurant to parade their mail-order brides to everyone. More money than sense I guess. lol. There was even one lady that had a different guy with her nearly every time I went to the bar & she's not a hooker. Since I first met her, I figure she's gone through 50 guys by now. They all leave. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it!
  3. What I do is I just tell anyone during a conversation, should it come up, that I'm into self-development for the past 6 years & they can feel free to ask me about some issues they might want some advice on & leave it at that. I've tried to tell people about meditation techniques, Qigong, vegetarian eating. It's all pointless & useless to them. Especially young people. So many of them have it "figured out" already...lol. My manager at work will usually ask about anything I'm doing & will tell me about his medical condition & I can relate to that & tell him what I've done. And he'll take it to heart. I've also been able to make people question their own belief systems, at least with finances. You sort of want to sell your points with a strong argument for why it works. But most people won't, unless they have a specific problem in which you can provide a specific solution that they agree with. When that happens, when you have conversations with them again, they'll take heed to what you're telling them. The other thing I've noticed is that, in absentia, I'm more appreciated. So if someone annoys me or doesn't want to hear what I have to say, I'll disappear from their frame. Take away sales tactics work well with psychology.
  4. You're going to suffer for a really long time if you quit. Have you ever tried Bulletproof Coffee? I've switched to that for nearly two years now & I feel great with my two cups in the morning. Maybe the coffee beans or product your using has gone bad or is too strong & you should try switching brands or going with a lighter strength. My current system is: 2 cups Bulletproof coffee and then multiple cups of Green Tea throughout the day. The Green Tea will take the edge off of the coffee. If I tried to quit I'd never feell right in my brain so might as well just make it the best possible experience & look forward to it every day. When I did try quitting in the past, I would drink Green tea all day long.
  5. I'm surprised you quit a game cold turkey. You could just reduce the time of it. I still play video games & I don't feel an addiction. I can go months without playing a single game, but simply plan time in the future to play one when I have a little free time. The type of games produced these days have some of the most creative work put into them. It's almost like reading a fantasy or science-fiction novel, just like many pen & paper RPGs. My personality is an INFP-A (Mediator) & the personality description tells me that I love sinking myself into imaginary worlds. I've taken the exams for a personality test 4 times this year & it never changes! So I'm not going to fight my nature. If being stuck in Imagination Land is what my personality tells me I will be happiest, then there's no point in fighting it. I'd suggest getting your ass over to the 16 personalities website & finding out what kind of personality you have by taking the test. Their docs can give you guides on the kinds of things you would probably like. The book is $32. Then get Leo's LP course. Then you'll have a synergy of what to do, what to become. Aside from all of this, just keep reading, if you're reading from Leo's booklist or what-not.
  6. I just wanted to let everyone know about this, I think it's free, Futures Studies program called Teach The Future. I'm on the mailing list & had taken some Futures Studies courses about 10 years ago. There's a lot of stuff in it that overlaps into self-development that people may find useful. Of course, it might also be an interesting project for people who teach for a living. Merry Christmas! http://www.teachthefuture.org/
  7. @Hardkill Just checking. Some ugly women have certain qualities that might be attractive, but you have to look deeply into it. When I say ugly, I'm not referring to the ones that look like men or the 1-3 range. More like 4-5 out of 10. At any rate, the appearance is subjective. What you might think is a 10, I might say that you're dating a manly specimen.
  8. @ZenBlue To add to your list, I've been following Cryptography Master Bruce Schneier on his thoughts on cryptocurrency. You can find it here: https://www.schneier.com He pointed out the best explanation for the bitcoin protocol from this link: http://www.michaelnielsen.org/ddi/how-the-bitcoin-protocol-actually-works/ I didn't buy Google or Facebook on their IPO day. I actually took the day off from work & had a $100k ready to dump into FB, but I didn't when it started dropping on day one due to glitches that day in the software they were using in the stock exchange that day. Strangely enough, I don't regret it or think about it very often. There are always missed opportunities in the markets, but it's not very long before something else comes along that I can invest in that everyone says "Is the next greatest thing. Be sure not to miss out!" But what do people really regret more than missing out? How about losing a shit-ton of money in one of these markets? You can't just replenish your money stores easily if you don't have a great incoming supply of it. I still think a shit-ton of people are going to find themselves losing their asshats of cash. Consider this, a Flavored Tea Manufacturer on the stock market, announces they're going to invest in building Blockchain Tech. The stock immediately in turn spikes upwards of 200%. How the fuck is that not a bubble??? Someone just announces a new business direction, they don't have dick, so the stock goes up 200%. It's asinine. To give some background, I've gone through the Dot Bomb of 1995 - 2000 & like Bitcoin it was always rising & falling. But then one day, it fell & never came back. At the time, the investors "HODLing" stock noticed their money was never coming back! If the company didn't go to zero, it fell to such a degree that the loss could be in the thousands (or more) & you would never see that money again. Maybe in 20-30 years by HODLing it...lol. The news reports after the crash basically attributed the crash to Tech stocks as not having any value. This INCLUDED the companies that did have value! It wiped the whole fucking slate clean. I've already read comments from people on YouTube saying how they bought high in the $17k-19k range & already feel cheated as fuck. They could be sitting on it forever as it quietly tanks back to some extremely low level. What's more, I keep hearing about The Greater Fool theory. And for the moment, it appears that perhaps many people are feeling foolish about investing in coins. And people are putting in more cash than they can "afford to lose". I was thinking I could afford to lose $15k-20k in bitcoin investment, but then I re-evaluated my stance on money & realized what an asinine statement it is to think that I can piss away $15-20k!!! If Bitcoin is at $20,000/coin for example, if I spend $20,000 to buy 1 bitcoin, it will have to advance to $40,000 _just_ to get a 100% return!! Whereas all of the people that bought in before me (The First Guy Bank, remember?) will be getting returns into the sheer 1000s%!!! I would get a lousy $20,000 whereas the First Guy Bank members would be getting a billion dollars. The math doesn't add up to the risk involved. Anyhow, what people regret more than missing out is losing their ass in the markets. When the pain of losing becomes greater than greed of buying, the news reports will speak about how everyone was wondeirng why Bitcoin had any value at all, just like they did with Tech Stocks in the Dot Bomb. This is assuming of course that the Bitcoins aren't entirely ripped off by dastardly miners & hackers. I've created a draft Mind Map of a Bitcoin Bubble that I'll go ahead & share here for all of the possible ways the Bubble might pop or just the negative things that might happen. If I get more details as they occur, I'll add to it.
  9. @aurum I think so. These women all leave him, don't they? Although I haven't tracked his latest conquests or see if he ever settled down. He needs tons of money to finance his female habits.
  10. @Deep Congratulations for sounding so superior. That fluoride water & raw milk is really working its magic.
  11. @kieranperez Your Dad is supporting you. How about showing him some gratitude instead of being an asshole & calling him toxic? If he was really bad, he'd make you get out & work for your share of the bills or boot you out of his house. Find out what he wants & how you can make him less toxic. Since he pays to keep you alive for nothing, he can't be that bad. Next, you can scratch the first bullet point off your list. A lot of answers revolve around meditation. Easy to do but nobody ever does it. Are you getting enough sleep? 8 hours a day? Based on your bullet point list, it seems you're hyper. I can be like you are if I have a lack of sleep. Try to slow everything down & focus on one thing per day at a time, to work on. How's your diet? Is it good? I'd stay away from greasy foods & caffeine for a few weeks if possible.
  12. @Deep Raw milk? You're not concerned with getting food poisoning? Fluoride free water will rot your teeth. I think the jury is still out on how helpful these things are to do. I was in Pune recently & they said a lot of food poisoning occurred because of raw milk. They don't pasteurize anything. It almost seems like there is a ton of people moving into these New Age-style jobs & I bet that in the near future, there will be so many of them, that nobody will be able to find work enough to pay their bills. I'm already seeing friends on FB waxing the philosophic about not passing judgement...giant-ass text walls. Everyone is already starting to get very preachy.
  13. @kieranperez How do you know you're an outcast or have heated arguments? Are their a lot of back & forth comments going on? Usually no one likes or responds to a comment is what I get out of a 'bad comment' on Facebook. It's largely ignored. Is anyone coming to you outside of FB & telling you these things? If it's only activity seen on FB, I'm not sure anyone may be thinking of you or your ideas at all when they leave the FB interface. All people are focusing on themselves & will simply avoid the people they find irritating & ignore them on FB. I've gone up & asked people about something I might've said on FB or elsewhere & they'll tell me they never read it or didn't even know about it. When I tell them what I said or did, they don't care. So whatever I was thinking or feeling at the time was just in my head & nowhere else.
  14. Completing the degree will give you discipline. You'll acquire transferrable skills that can be used in whatever else you decide to do. I found plenty of time between semesters & having summers off to study or do other things. If you quit school & get some low-paying job, you could be tired at the end of the day. People go to college to avoid those mundane low-wage positions. Probably more time is lost because low-wage jobs are time-consuming & very repetitive. I assume you will have bills to pay & have to feed yourself.
  15. @aurum There should also be a disclaimer that Owen is a weekend dad & is probably miserable most of the time...lol. I can't imagine anyone suffering more than he is, but he uses smoke & mirrors to disguise it to look like the best life anyone can have.
  16. I wasted my time. Forget I said anything.
  17. It's likely that women are slut shaming each other in their own social groups. What men say about it doesn't matter, but it does when another woman tells them that, like their Moms or close friends. But for guys, there is a simple, but stoic answer: If she's a slut, then have nothing to do with her. That's how sluts become socially trained. But as long as other guys keep thinking with their dicks out of desperation, she'll continue being a slut & fucking on the first date to every Tom, Dick, & Harry that shows up. When you know a gal is a slut, you should be registering disgust, not being turned-on by it. That's how you know that you've got it all backwards. If you're super-hard when she says she's a slut, you've already failed. It's a tough nut to crack so to speak..lol.
  18. @Psyche_92 Dude. If you had a daughter, and you walked in on her making out with you, as a Father, what the hell would you do??? Of course they're going to get pissed! You've put the idea in their heads that the two of you are fucking like dogs. Do you really think the parents are going to give you respect for that? You really think holding hands under the table is a good idea? For all they know, she's stroking your cock. The WORST possible images are going to spring in their minds BECAUSE they are her parents & always assume the worst. Also, since you were there, you didn't treat them like human beings. It appears you didn't ask them about what they did or how they made their wealth, where they came from, the usual chit-chat you have when first being introduced to strangers. If you don't talk to them like you would anyone else, then yeah, they're going to stay angry & tell her that you're not right for them because you appear you weren't interested in knowing them, but only getting your jollies with their daughter. All you had to do was tell your GF that you wanted to be respectful to her parents by not showing affection. Do it later, away from prying eyes, on another date. She'd agree to that! You have to set the boundaries. You let her do what she wanted to do & what she wanted to do was piss off her parents. Women want to feel drama & the full range of emotions: she wants to love you & hate you & everything in between. The larger the emotional range, the stronger the bond she'll have with you. Call her up & ask for another dinner with her parents. Tell her that there will be no physical contact on the date & you want to show respect. Get in there & ask them about their lives. And listen. Tell them your dreams & aspirations. Tell them about your job issues. It's as simple as that. You can turn this all around. Break the ice. At any rate, that's if you actually care to salvage the relationship. If not, then just keep doing what you're doing. lol.
  19. @Ross When you enter the workforce, you'll STILL not have any time to get pussy! You'll probably end up in a sweat shop, busting your ass 50-60 hours a week & doing weekend work as well. Next thing you know 10 years have passed & you won't have figured this problem out. So you might as well try to start dating. Anybody. Even the ugly girls. You don't have any ugly girls coming on to you at all? There's usually a few that will initiate action. Have you tried setting up a Tender account? You just need to get on the date & improvise on the fly. Don't read anything & just learn as you go. Make the mistakes, fail & try again. Check out the books when you have the spare time (which you currently don't). I think if you read too many books on the subject as a beginner, you'll suffer from paralysis of analysis. It's better in hindsight after you've experienced failure. The main issue for dating is neediness. Just don't be needy & the rest should follow suit. If you don't know what needy is, google it. It's funny because I didn't even know what the hell "needy" was until 6 years ago. And it turns out to be one of the ugliest words when my friend told me I was being needy when I told him about a gal I was chasing. I had to go look it up & find out what a curse needy behavior is. Any gal that you can talk to anywhere, if she's friendly, ask for her phone number. It really is as simple as that.
  20. You don't have any women wanting to bump uglies? Not even ugly girls? I usually get a shit-ton of scary women coming after me. And every now in then a good one pops up in the grouping, but I'll manage to blow it. The good ones usually have a bf, or are married or some other baggage that I find irritating.
  21. I'm beginning to think that this subject is too big to be ignored. :-) I've been a huge skeptic & resisted it heavily. However, I always go back to look at what Leo's concept of counter-intuitive moves. Is my resistance to Bitcoin, this massive disruptive technology, just some mental block on my part? Should I really be investing heavily instead? I was afraid of Google & Facebook when they IPO'ed, not understanding them, but now we have another one staring us in the face. Since my last post, I watched the Netflix documentary, watched a few other YouTube videos, read a ton of articles, & even checked videos from Richard Quest and Jim Kramer. What has really piqued my interest is what the Winkelvoss(?) Twins has said & done on this entire adventure. They put in $11-12 million to get that initial 100,000 bitcoins in 2011, now a billion dollars later, in yesterday's article talking to them, they said they believe Bitcoin can be used instead of gold & still, they believe that this is a multi-trillion dollar industry, which means that cryptocurrencies are still in the initial stages of reaching multiple trillions. They don't appear to care to sell it at all, but just sit on it like gold. If they're right, the current price of a single bitcoin is still very low, even at $15,000. I mean, if they're technically worth a million each (or more) in a multi-trillion dollar industry, the difference of buying a bitcoin at $5,000 or $15,000 is very little! I've also found from an Indian buddy of mine, currently visiting family in India, is telling me that Indians are still buying bitcoin on the black market. They're buying it, getting the gain, then cashing out the initial investment so that whatever is being earned is just funny money. But maybe the joke will be on those that didn't jump in? My counter-intuitive intuition is telling me to buy into this stuff, at least for what I can afford to lose. I'm even wiping the dust off of my Nassim Taleb books on The Black Swan & Anti-fragile as they might seem to have a fit towards what we're seeing with a disruptive revolution to our general processes. The Internet has destroyed so many things & now it might be blasting the banks. What's more, our fucking US Govt & Banking system has not said one damn thing against it. So as far as I can tell, they're interested in getting into it as well, so I don't think they're going to shut it down at all. I also explored the question: Can Wall Street screw it up with shorting it? I don't think it's possible to mess with it all that much. Is it a Ponzi Scheme? Is Gold a Ponzi Scheme? If Gold isn't then maybe Cryptocurrencies aren't either, at least some of them are not. They're saying when regulation gets into it, many of the thousand cryptocurrencies out there will be shutdown. What about hacking? Well if you make a copy of your bitcoins to an external device offline, nobody can rip you off online if it's hacked. So that can also be prevented from happening.
  22. @Spiral Lately, the talking craze at work is about bitcoin. I was the one that brought the topic to work because of others talking about how they've been able to turn $2000 into $100k on the markets when they were younger. And now there's a lot of resistance towards this new tech & I'm trying to understand it better.
  23. I'm baa-ck!! The Bitcoin Fever has taken over. We really need a video on this. Have you guys seen the current bitcoin price? Over $18,000 per coin now. This whole thing is mad & ridiculous. I went to a bitcoin forum to look at mining, they must have had hundreds, if not thousands of same-day posts of people asking a shit-ton of questions about mining. Also, I've found that Tai Lopez is doing his usual idiot thing of offering a bitcoin training program, at the same time he's learning about it, it would seem. For $500 smackers. Another guy at Project Life Mastery on YouTube had a video about it in September, so I guess he was watching this for a bit. And you know what the concept is being called for this gold-rush to bitcoin by the masses? FOMO! The Fear Of Missing Out!!! Everyone that has looked at bitcoin & saw someone like the Vinklevoss Twins buying 100k bitcoins for 11 million & now worth a billion dollars, or even less, say 10,000 bitcoins worth $103 million, are in hysteria over this thing. And yet, only 3% of the entire bitcoin account population owns a full bitcoin...So it sounds like all of that bitcoin is going to be diluted, eventually to the point nobody really owns much of it. What's more, the futures trading is going to open up on Sunday with investors that will be trying to short bitcoin to drive the price back down. The wealthiest players in bitcoin are the likeliest candidates to short it, since they can manipulate the price by selling their chunk, causing it to fall & turning profit even though they had gained profit from selling it in the first place. It would be nice to have a video on what to do abut FOMO. If my bastard friend that didn't like to brag & rub my face in his successes didn't tell me about bitcoin, I wouldn't have noticed the phenomenon. I've told my smartest friends at work about bitcoin from a couple months ago & even now they're feeling it...that "left behind" feeling of the piles upon piles of cash driving up like a massive erection.
  24. @Marinus If you both like each other, are you taking her on dates? Just try the classic approach of dating so she knows it's for real. I don't think a gal would hit you on a date. If she's bumping into you a lot, that is supposed to be a very positive sign of attraction. Any bumping is good bumping. I wouldn't press hugging, but you should try to kiss her goodnight after the next date you have. If she gives you the cheek, well you know where you stand then & can stop wasting your time.
  25. @Spiral I've found that the men I've made friends with at bars are exactly as you described. Lonely motherfuckers. Drunk and always drinking too much types. And others who appear to be so desperate they're willing to rape if they think they can get away with it. And you're also right that these friendships don't last. They'll switch bars, become regular somewhere else, or just ditch you if they feel you're cutting in on the competition, don't buy enough rounds or drink as much as they do. My guy friends at work we like to talk about financial investment strategy & gym workout. I've got a friend working on being a triathlete so I always ask him about his workout routine & see if I can fit anything he's doing into mine. We talk about diet, we talk businesses, stocks, our customers & technology. We rarely talk about women! LOL. That's because just about every guy I know at work is married with kids & they're not out to destroy their marriages. Some guy friends at work will want to talk about politics too. Then you have your old-school friends from high school or college. They'll want to talk about the stuff we covered in that time: rock music, guitarists, guitar playing, bands coming into town, or just hanging around & talking nostalgically about something. And then you have the braggart friends that you don't hear from very often, but they will text you by phone to rub their latest successes in your face. And you treat them like trash in kind. They never leave forever, so I just have to figure they're a friend of some sort. About 5 years ago, I found myself in your position, trying to make too many female friends. When I read David Deida's book, I realized on the spot that I wasn't doing enough shit with my dude friends! I also read The Way of Men & brought myself back into my manliness. The Art of Manliness is also a good site you should check out to bring yourself back to your male center. Working out, breaking through barriers, accepting challenges, grunting, & sweating are what guys do. And if you have a dick, you're one of us, even if you feel frail as a flower. You can still turn it all around. haha. Maybe you'll never be able to deadlift 500 lbs (like me, I definitely can't and never will..lol), but it wouldn't stop me from weight training, aspiration, & enjoying it that another man can do it. Maybe if you can turn your mind towards a manly perspective, you'll get more male friends & not just the ones that talk about the punani all the time. Women are the reward given for being a great man after all.
