Without a dictatorship and with a generally low intellectual level among the population, it’s very difficult to carry out solid long-term projects. I don’t know about your country, but in mine, a Western democracy, politicians only care about staying ahead in the polls, and it’s impossible to pass important laws because there’s no consensus. Despite all these problems, I still prefer our flawed democracy to the Chinese dictatorship, though I cant deny that systems like China’s do have quite a few advantages. In Europe, we need to start planing long term and acting as a unified bloc in certain aspects, and let go nationalistic crap.

For most people who can't plan their finances It’s better to pay €30,000 or €50,000 in installments over 30 years than to face the full cost all at once if you suffer a heart attack, a stroke, or get hit by a car.

In Europe, there are no excuses for not getting an education. Even if you come from a very low social class, there are many ways to study if you truly want to.

you can definetely have a girlfriend, don't be too stuck in your head. I know how you feel because I've been there. Don't throw in the towel, there are women out there you can connect with. Try void any toxic, victim-like, or sexist mentality at least when you are around women.

Immigration should stop being seen as coal to throw into the fire to keep inefficient industries running. They’re allowed to enter without control or planning because it benefits employers who want to cheapen labor.

I guess you are very young. You have to learn to not give a fuck about work, your bosses are not too busy trying to keep their heads above water, they are pretending they are busy and exploiting you and your low rank colleagues. Do the bare minimum to not get fired and focus on finding your life purpose if you dont have it. If you have it use work hours to advance towards your life puropose goals. If workplace is highly toxic look for another job, if you can manage it stay.

I would do the art degree if you are sure it's your passion, but at the same time I’d try to get some alternative training with better job prospects. I’m doing a degree aligned with my purpose now at 30 years old, and I’m happier than ever, so you still have time to do a secure degree to ensure your stability and then pursue art.

I took the LP course when I was 22, but I didn’t get a good result due to I believe lack of experience. I’m doing it again now at 30, I’m halfway through, but I already have a sense of how it’s going to turn out. I recommend trying different things, observing what interests you, and diving deeper into those.

It’s funny because you start the post accusing Leo of making assumptions, and you end up making assumptions about me, when I haven’t done that at any point.

I hope Leo is not afraid to delete this thread. Belongs to the shit bin.

I'm from Barcelona, Spain. If anyone living here or nearby wants to meet up, let me know! I do a lot of hiking on the weekends.

Electricians, plumbers, HVAC etc. they are always in demand. Plus, no AI is going to replace them in the medium term.

Many people need to be told what to do and follow orders, military is the epitome of that.
