But do you know how the self help seminar business works? I personally don't but I can image it has way higher overheads than we imagine. I find it plausible he makes most of his money with wealthy clients. Back of the room selling is common practice, I've seen very high integrity speakers do it. If the product truly helps people... That's just the business model.

Don't exclude your own life trajectory from that. Makes no sense.

That is absolutely brilliant. -
First Santa, now this!? 😭

That's how I feel. And it's still better to market a good product than not contributing anything to society at all. Plus starting a business gives you valuable life experience and is a great way of doing personal development.

@Leo Gura when I was in my mid 20s I ran some marketing schemes that I saw as unethical and it lead to internal conflict and I quit that business. I could have made so much money then. But now I feel old enough to do it properly and make my millions. So if that is what you're warning about to younger guys then fair enough. I assumed Owen followers are older though cause RSD is a long ass time ago. @VictorB02 I've also lived in Indonesia while I was doing internet marketing.

If you've ever had a period in your life where you only followed magical LoA type of content, you'd notice that your real world problems are still there and not fixed by spirituality. So why would Leo's cookie be better? No magical cookie, unfortunately.

Yeah but very few alternatives. The benefit of having financial freedom outweighs this cost imo, the challenge is then to remain conscious in your business journey. The alternative for most people will be to sit at home and do nothing, just mental mastirbation and half assing spirituality. It's not like actualized members are super enlightened and learning marketing will corrupt them. Learning what owen talks about is a massive step up for most, not down.

What does that have to do with it?

This is wonderful and only takes 5 minutes

Yes please! I was hoping for this one instead of the alien stuff.

You live in Vegas.

Do you have any indication of what your audience looks like? Because I bet most are helped more by learning about marketing and getting off their fucking ass (like me) and Owen's teachings are fantastic for that. When you say this there will be people who will use your words to skip the hard things in life, such as starting their own brand, that's pure spiritual bypassing. You became financially independent a while ago but you're speaking to people who aren't there yet. Also your style of teaching doesn't allow for the drill Sargeant type of self help that Owen does, but that's what I need at this point in my life. So my point is people are going to use your criticism of Owen to do bypassing and fall back into the matrix. His matrix analogy is perfect, even if the truth is much more nuanced. Nuance doesn't make you rich. In another video Owen talks about creating more awareness and spiritual growth through working your fucking ass off and getting unimaginable amount of blowback. That's more what people need than armchair spirituality imo (not saying that's what you teach, just pointing to a trap I fell into that's very common in modern society). I do think you rightly pointed out this is for a specific type of person.

So you get microplastics in your system. Is this something to be concerned about? I chew a lot of gum and I just learned this.

Boldly assuming actualized members have friends 😂

You wrote a better title though 😁 I've watched this video in full 3 or 4 times now, words can describe the quality of this talk. It's the thickest Red Pill I've ever had in such a short time. @Leo Gura suggestion to share on your blog.

Yeah I just opened a thread for this lol

What happened? -
Try it and let us know. Worst case scenario you didn't laugh.

I swear guys I'm starting an ASMR channel within the next 2 years after the business I'm working on rn. I think the videos are so fun to make and you can REALLY go big. Big ASMR Youtubers always make cool looking videos with nice aesthetics and they even do sponsored reads whispering.
-
Do you watch ASMR? If so, what benefits have you found? I tried some videos for sleep and it calms me down but doesn't make me fall asleep.

You beat me to it 😭

I posted this thread in the off-topic section and haven't made any serious comments on here because it was never supposed to be a serious thread. But out of some feeling of virtual responsibility let me clarify. Nobody suggested that fastfood is healthy or should be promoted, but I am a proponent of free choice and people have their vices. In fact, most of your favorite spiritual gurus and philosophers have their vices, this is well documented. And those are like superhumans, so normal humans have even more vices and there's nothing wrong with that, it's part of being alive in a free society. I don't think Actualized forums should be a place where we dogmatically push what we believe to be good for us, but instead it should have a wide variety of tastes and different aspects of the human condition. Therefor I believe we should be able to simultaneously discuss healthy lifestyles and our favorite burgers, or sex and abstinence, using or not using psychedelics etc. In a way these are paradoxes or contradictions, and they exist alongside each other, one no better than the other. That doesn't mean fastfood is good for you, we all know it's not, but there is no theoretical robot-person who lives the perfect actualized life with no vices, so these threads exist too. This to me is obvious and speaking it out is like discussing a piece of art, just doesn't work. But I did anyway lol.
