  1. @BLABLABLA This points me to something Osho has said, "I only know that I don't know anything", this might be the smartest answer ever given if you consider how there is no answer to this fundamental question which could change everything you think you know, even everything that is "known" to absolute infinity?!
  2. @hinawashi Your answer lies in the wording already, self-preservation. Even at this rate it is sustainable for quite some years for the people who are actually in charge and are old enough to not be alive anymore when it turns really bad. Also you have to keep in mind that people who are in charge usually think that even if they changed their ways there would be someone else benefiting from it and keeping the damage going anyway, so why wouldn't they just stay on top themselves. The rich get richer is just a flaw in the system, who knows maybe intentional but that is not the point. The problem is that corporations have too much power by now, which means that everyone has to contribute to growth who is on top of that corporation and usually there are too many people who wouldn't let someone go in a sustainable direction which leads to decline, even if they managed to do that, the competition would get ahead very fast without such limitations. Take China for example, they don't have many restrictions in anything really so they are making their way to the number 1 power in the world at the moment at the cost of the sustainability which still won't affect the people in charge for quite a while.
  3. I can tell you that after 3 days not eating you won't be really hungry anymore, unless you burned up all of your fat and maybe muscles, then you start starving. So I don't know about the other stuff, there are also people who say they can live purely on the energy of the sun, but I highly doubt all that stuff. I can imagine that if you are very fat and start meditating 24/7 you won't burn a lot of calories and the fat might be enough to keep you going for many months, but the water is not replaceable without magic.
  4. This is the beauty of life. There is no meaning inherent but we can give it and everything it contains all the meaning we want and make it even more beautiful then it is or beautiful in the first place, sadly in most cases people give more meaning to the "negative" parts of life. That is why I think positive focus is really a crucial part of the spiritual path. In my opinion positive focus isn't just going for the positive but also trying to bring your light of consciousness into the dark aspects of yourself in order to light them up.
  5. I was watching some videos of known atheists and agnostics on youtube, like Lawrence Krauss, Richard Dawkins and Neil deGrasse Tyson and someday Sam Harris got recommended. I watched a few of his videos where he was talking about religion and then I found a video of him introducing meditation to a crowd since he is a neuroscientist I thought that there must be something to meditation so I kept digging and then got a recommendation on youtube for Eckhart Tolle and soon after I digged into enlightenment and found Leos video which kind of got rid of my last doubts along with trying meditation myself with some immediate effect at the next day for the first time in my life I felt like I didn't have to engage in thoughts although I had to meditate for like 2 weeks to reach that state again.
  6. @HII Don't get me wrong that is not at all a victim role because I don't see a problem with solitude and yes in fact the other option to improve also exists but I don't have that much interest in imporving on such matters, I find that I have more important things to invest time into. It is just a matter of your priorities, basically what is your life purpose in the first place. What also has to be mentioned is that your above points about the lacking abilities of an introvert are not correct neccessairly, they can be correct in some or many cases. But just because someone doesen't use such skills doesen't mean that he doesen't posses them apart from that it is more honest to stay true to yourself and stand by your emapthy than trying to ignore that part of yourself. I would say that I am actually more confident than those friends because of my year long self actualization but this doesen't mean I want to overshadow everyone. That is the line between confidence and selfishness.
  7. That is not quite what I mean. I am talking about something even more subtle than that, something like a permanent presence of the thought before it actually arises.
  8. I noticed this already many times but never actually thought about it. When I want to consciously think something I already know what the sentence is going to be before I even start thinking it, it is more like in the direction of a feeling or intuition it is just immediate. So what is this now? Is there a layer of thought which is instant, like it would always be there without time limitations, is it intuition, is it a form of thoughts of your higher self or something completely different? What got me to think about this is that I was thinking this sentence in my mind and I noticed that It is useless to go on thinking it because I already know the outcome, yet I always am kind of compelled to finish it in my head, even though it seems useless.
  9. @Just10 No, I usually meditate without the music. @Vitamine Water Yes, that is pretty much what I do. Of course I would never use it to replace regular meditations, just as a kind of bonus.
  10. In fact I already did it like 2-3 times a week for some time now. And I really feel how the music is giving me more energy, always when I have alot of energy in meditation I am having this very fast flashes of white light all over my sensory field, with listening to music while meditating this always happens, well not so much with relaxing meditation music, but with powerful epic music especially.
  11. The music is actually used as the anchor to the now in this case, like you can actually listen to music mindfully.
  12. @Just10 I am actually just looking to surrender into whatever arises with this kind of meditation. It is mostly not relaxing music, usually on the contrary.
  13. I think concentration is an action of filtering, while awareness is the unfiltered everything or nothing. Filtering can be useful of course if you filter the noise in your head for example.
  14. This illusion is here to set limits for consciousness, which is seemingly fragmented into us, seemingly because it indeed is an illusion, just that it is not transparent to us, which means that we actually are real but artificially. In order for the absolute infinity to arise, it has to see itself from all possible limitations.
  15. A healthy integrated physical body+mind guided by consciousness, by love itself.
  16. The ego is not to be destroyed. The ego is to be loved.
  17. @HII I am very introverted and for me this doesn't mean that I am awkward around people or anything, just that I as you already stated get drained from it. Doesn't really matter if I am around people who I can be authentic with. I think what drains me the most is to follow along with what the group wants to do at any given time, the lack of control over what we are going to do, of course I can ask the others if they want to do a certain thing but at the same time I have the empathy to see that the thing I want to do is rarely what the group would want. Recently I tried to go my way and convinced my freinds to have a deep talk together but it ended up going in a very shallow direction in matters of subjects we were talking about and in the end it got very boring for me and drained me to listen. So my hypothesis on what might be the cause of introversion is basically the concept of energetic vampires, the activites they want to do drawn you, while they enjoy them and get energized from having people adding and losing their energies into the mix. That's why usually the mindless people, which people might label as "dumb" tend to be more extroverted, because they lack the empathy to see that what they want to do with the group is not really welcome for some. While the introverts tend to think about such things and so their will to take action into a certain direction is at the very least delayed to the point that others are always faster in taking the initiative.
  18. Your life in the physical body is deeply connected to the breath, in fact it is the breath itself. So by the means of breath you are able to see beyond that which it fuels eventually. The only thing that keeps going even in the deepest state you could ever imagine, where you are basically dead deep in meditation you still are going to have breath even if it is very slow.
  19. It is going through all possibilities, like humans for example we are it, yet our body is a limitation to make this play with itself possible in the first place, with the infinite "knowledge" or "power" of the universe a human with an ego couldn't exist, that's why it is an illusion, an illusion to make this reality we live in possible. It does not mean that this illusion is not the truth, it merely is not transparent for us, just for the universe itself.
  20. It seems to me like your ego is trying to rationalize out of your practice. You can try to start with something simple, just focus on breathing, that was Buddhas main technique. Of course even in focus on breath there are many variations, I know a really great Shiva technique, that Osho taught. Follow your breath and focus on the moment when you are done with exhaling and inhaling, the moment when your breath stops you drop out of existence for that instant. Also focus on breathing is in my opinion the easiest technique to even keep on doing after your actual meditation practice, you can just do it 24/7 basically.
  21. Show respect to your suffering, to your negative aspects and stop resisting them. Invite them to join your 2-3 minute experience of love. Find the positive side of your negative aspects, because in the end this contrast is an illusion. Your mind makes negative and positive up, both have qualities of the opposite even looking from "low"-dimensional truth.
  22. @kieranperez I feel like you should drop your perfectionism and resistance to failure and negativity, negativity in the sense of having people with a negative attitude towards you. They are what will make you grow and rise above your shadow in the end if you stop resisting it and give in. Of course this might be hard at first, but it will become easier over time. If you stay positive about their negativity it could change faster than you think. What you resist persists, so don't.
  23. Just because there are benefits for the "I" doesen't mean that it is a bad thing, it can always be a win-win situation. From a higher perspective the selfish jobs might cause problems for others, problems that trigger their expansion. Causing problems is a faster way of growth for the others so to say, so you are essentially helping them in the end.
  24. Start seeing the beauty in those things that you judge. Everything has it's purpose, those bad things are there to inspire expansion in you and others. Without those things you judge you would stop growing or would grow very slowly. Also recognize your own faults, what people might be judging about you, what actually pushes them and be proud of that.
