@Ascend The problem is where do you put the line? After enlightenment the journey still goes on, there is no end to it and before enlightenment the journey also takes place so where you put the line is pretty much just a belief, you are just discussing your believes right here, believes about words that are as unreal as physcial objects because they are made up from the mind. What is for sure though is that Osho was enlightened, whatever you choose to define it as. Just looking into his eyes you will see the proof, his permanent conscious movements are so powerful that you can literally see that he is moving consciously all the time, with gentle passion in every movement. -

@How to be wise It may very well be the basic stage of enlightenment to get away from objects that might distract you. You can go further though and stay untouched by any object that may come up. She herself came back after all didn't she? -

Those who are truely enlightened don't run away from life, because there is nothing to run away from. Ultimately there is no difference in being in a cave or being in a city, space doesen't exist, objects don't exist it is merely the percieving that is. -
@Buba I would suggest to practice forgiveness. Just imagine that person standing in front of you and forgiving them and them forgiving you, do it multiple times if neccessary.

@CreativeInertia I agree on the importance, although I think self-actualizers who tend to meditate will usually get more than enough rest, because meditation transforms your sleep for the better automatically and meditation is already a kind of rest in of itself, which makes you require less sleep. I noticed this during the period when I was meditating 2-3 hours a day, I would need about 2 hours less sleep.

Doorway to true being. As for the effects for my body and mind, how can I ever start telling about the benefits of it for me when they influence every single instant of my life. -
LaucherJunge replied to Dominik Drums's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Dominik Drums I share with you the critique on the "killing of the ego". I think it is a very greedy and ugly thing to do, killing your ego for realization of the truth. At the other hand the methods Leo is sharing are very universal for pretty much any spiritual path, if you want to kill the ego or not, meditation and doing nothing should actually help you with pretty much everything, surely there will be difficult phases where you have to go trough the depths or your subconscious minds, this is what makes it so effective compared to the more worldy approach in the first place. You will have to face your demons, which does not always equate to destroying your ego. I am not on a journey to destroy the ego, however I am on a journey to freely choose what I want my ego to be and to realize that it does not really exist, that it is just a concept which I can make art of. The art of sculpting your ego. -
@Charlotte The greatest energy booster for me in the morning are cold showers, although I have a hard time doing them in the winter because it's already cold anyway.

LaucherJunge replied to Ether's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ether Depends what you see as progress. You will most likely fall back into old problems and patterns multiple times with the opportunity to heal them even more with every single time until they are completely gone. So at times you might feel terrible even though you have been very consistent because this is the only way you can still be growing at one point, new challenges have to come. -
LaucherJunge replied to cetus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I would say the best way to describe this is, that it is all a big delusion and you are peeling of one layer after another by the process of getting trapped by them of course, so it is all part of the big path I guess. I think those layers of delusion are indeed the truth for that moment you are trapped in them literally the truth, you just need them one after another to go on. -

Yoga with adriene is my go to channel, if I have a yoga phase. Can't really tell you much more about it other than that I heard very contradictory statements about the importance of yoga. Sadhguru tends to say that it is very important, Osho for example said something along the lines that going running has pretty much the same effect as yoga, so it's very overrated. -
LaucherJunge replied to cle103's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@cle103 That is the hard way in my opinion. The easier trick here would be to understand that real happiness which is beyond what you can imagine will only come with enlightenment, so that it becomes a path that is worth going even if you have to invest, on the other hand I am not saying that the path of enlightenment itself neccessarily excludes happiness though, you can still be happy most of the time doing this work, I am certain of that. I myself didn't commit to truth either, yet I am very happy most of the time trough the spiritual work alone, sure this happiness is probably not comparable to enlightenment, but enlightenment is really so far out there that I would rather go the safe way, instead of destroying myself with possibly no result for my whole lifetime. -

We are in the game of form after all, why should I break out of it? So far spiritual work makes me gradually happier by the day, suffering is something that doesen't occur anymore for years and pain, as rare it became, is a beautiful thing. When I die, I will be enlightened anyway and time is just an illusion, so I am already eternally enlightened, I don't see a reason to rush into the smokescreen trying to get a glimpse of what lies behind. If it happens spontaneously during my spiritual work that's great, I guess. But I don't see the reason to dedicate all the opportunity I got here, to this beyond intangible "thing". Maybe DMT will change my mind on that in due time, we will see. For now I see all dimensions as equal, so the effort to go far beyond the dimension or dimensions we are kind of bound to doesen't seem neccessary, what is still an open question in my mind is that consciousness is dimensionless as Rupert Spira stated in a video, I don't get to any conclusion with this statement so far. -
It tends to be a common theme, a paradigm even, that most people in this community and also in spirituality itself, see the destruction of the self as the only way to enlightenment. What if seperation or disidentification, living in a kind of meta state can do the trick already without actually needing to destroy the construct of self because you are not bound to it anyway? This points me to the fact that there are supposed to be two main ways to get enlightened, the shiva way and the buddha way. Maybe it is not just two different ways but actually the destination is also different? Meaning there are two very different kinds of enlightenment, which makes total sense, even though we are not always looking for logic in this field. It makes the aspect of polarities emerge even in enlightenment, which usually is the case for everything we know only enlightenment seemed to be the thing without an opposite. One way of enlightenment is the everything, living in seperation or coexistence with the self and the other way is nothing, destruction of the self.

I doubt that there is an exact formula on this, also different things work for different people. But those are surely 2 very important factors, I would put suffering to it aswell, because that is the thing almost every single spiritual master has incommon. -

@dude Yes, I always have this, you can also use the colors themselves as the focus point or you just keep going, sooner or later you will get used to that wierd stuff. -
LaucherJunge replied to LaucherJunge's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@RichardY No, not at all. I am not into texts of any kind, I just watch videos on this topics I need a live person with expressions to really deeply feel what they are saying. I can tell you that Osho was talking quite alot about this difference between Shivas and Buddhas path. But I would agree Shivas path is closer to christianity then Buddhas path. Buddhas path was more logical and rational while Shivas was loving and emotional. Jesus was also preaching alot about love as far as I know. @Serotoninluv I was not trying to figure out anything really, it just came to me as an intuition while I was watching a video that didn't have anything to do with spirituality. I am still not that interested in enlightenment as most other people in this community, I am more into spiritual self-development and I love my ego, if that keeps me from getting enlightened that's fine with me. -

LaucherJunge replied to cle103's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@cle103 This should already do the trick if you are really honest with yourself that it truly is happiness and well being. You have to analyze your actions, especially things you tend to aviod for the sake of this primary commitment. Now if it really is that, you basically just would have to tell to yourself I don't want to commit to happiness and well being anymore, I want to commit to the Truth, maybe try it as a mantra for a session or something like that, another good option is to becoming conscious of more and more things that you do in pursuit of well being and happiness and then consciously giving them up or reducing them for the sake of truth. The problem I see here is that most people actually pursue this truth of enlightenment because of happiness and well being, which would mean that you could actually have another primary commitment then you thought, that is stopping you. Maybe you just need to align the understanding that true happiness and well being will come with enlightenment and commit to it in the way of enlightenment work instead of other activities. -
LaucherJunge replied to cle103's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The most important thing in this case is, you need to find where your primary commitment lies. It is unconscious for nearly everyone what his true commitment is. What core is your life build around? What is the theme that keeps overshadowing all other areas with some influence? If you manage to find it out and make it conscious you can then shift your primary commitment from this to spiritual work/enlightenment, because with it being conscious it becomes your conscious decision and not just an unconscious pattern.
