Beauty is indeed magical. The percieving of beauty is Truth. -
LaucherJunge replied to RossE's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@RossE I seriously started meditation at the age of 19. The main motives were depressions, suffering and problems with sleeping. My current motivations are truth, love and beauty, meditation unveils the truth, makes you see the beauty of everything around you and makes you capable of true love at some point. -

@Ilya There is a certain clarity when you are at like 14-16 hours without anything to eat. It is very subtle can't tell very much about it. -

I am also doing a 16/8 although it varies, sometimes its more like 15/9 or 18/6 even. I had as much progress as never before in the last month, this is surely not even the main reason for that, but it helped for sure. -
LaucherJunge replied to Wyatt's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Wyatt Well yes the Soul is basically stands for what you really are, what everyone is. There is nothing else that has the capability of percieving than the oneness itself. -
LaucherJunge replied to Psyche_92's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Psyche_92 I think it is simply knowing. You will know that in a very deep but subtle way. Like you know that 2+2 equals 4, you don't need to have it in front of your eyes to know that, you just needed to realize it once. -
LaucherJunge replied to Ether's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ether I don't want neither. I just want to live life to the fullest. -
LaucherJunge replied to egoless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@egoless To be honest, my thoughts on the whole enlightenment thing are that it is very highly overrated, depending on what you would classify as enlightenment of course. I am pretty sure there could be people getting enlightened who still have so much crap in their head and a very long way to go, the true beauty is the spiritual path to enlightenment itself, because it lets you automatically work on so many different areas for a better quality of living, making your experience even as a seperate self really beautiful. I am not really as much excited for enlightenment as for what comes after enlightenment, when I got 99% of all the crap gone and have the direct permanent experience, how deep can you actually go with both of those things combined? How many dimensions are there to discover? How beautiful must life be when you reach states that are way beyond enlightenment? It is so beautiful to know that there are literally no limits, you can reach states which you can't even dream of as the most enlightened master that ever existed, that is the beauty of infinity and our illusory limitations. -
@spicy_pickles No, this approach is not wrong at all. It is a good start but at some point you will have to drop working for a healthier version and recognize that you are already perfect just to then again start working on yourself not because you need to get healthier but because it is fun to get healthier and it goes on and on, there are tons of different stages.

@egoless Usually you don't look up for information that fortifies your beliefs when looking for spiritual videos you actually destroy your current beliefs, atleast the people who are new to this, which we are talking about here. -
LaucherJunge replied to egoless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@egoless You don't need to believe in order to try something. A confirmation bias is also not needed, I stumpled upon spiritual videos without even looking for them. -
@Extreme Z7 Your Nickname sounds like a Smartphone series. To the topic itself, for me it doesen't really matter all that much if I don't have my phone with me going somewhere. I think if you are able to keep such a mindset where you barely even use it, there is no reason not to have it.

I mention this quite often, suffering is what pushes you the most. The exception to this seem to be people like Sadhguru and Osho who were born kind of special already, very near to enlightenment or people with special sensory abilities. -

@SFRL I agree, he is a media creation but that isn't insignificant for the question. Many things he said have deep meaning and make alot of sense in the spiritual context, after all he was a cult leader. Maybe he had knowledge about this stuff, which helped him create his little cult. Rose: Do you have friends you can talk to? Manson: I am friend to everything I see, everything I know, everything I feel Manson: I…I don’t have that. Rose: You don’t have that?” Manson: I don’t have that yin and yang that you people do. Rose: Is that ying yang?” (rose seems to take “ying yang” as a phrase connoting nonsense) Manson: yeah, in other words, you can’t make me unhappy Manson: When you leave go get a big rock and set it on the table. Rose: Yeah? Manson: I am that big rock on the table. Rose: Do you need to be loved? Manson: Loved… I am loved, I am love Rose: By whom? Are you loved? Manson: I am love Rose: … and what do you say of those people who say ‘monster’? Manson: What you see is what you get. Man, they have to live with it. I don’t. You have to live with your judgement. I live with mine. (Smiling) Rose: You don’t think of yourself… Manson: That is right. I don’t think of myself. Manson: I don’t think you guys have seen me. Rose: No? What don’t we understand? Manson: You don’t understand yourselves. Rose: No but what don’t we understand about you? Granted we don’t understand ourselves, but what don’t we understand about you? Manson: Just what I said…I am inside of you man. I live inside of you. I am inside every one of you. Manson: Prison? I left prison in ’67. I got out of jail. Rose: Yeah, but you are back. Manson: Can’t you see that I am out, man? Can’t you see that I am free?” -

You always have access to the true self, objects of any kind also the own identity abstract your true being. So obviously you will get more in touch with your true self the more those objects fade out of your awareness trough silence. Although this is just the first big step to take, of course this goes way further, it always does. Potentially you can someday aknowledge your true being even in all the objects but that is some Sadhguru level stuff. -
LaucherJunge replied to Ether's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ether Yes, even if you continue to meditate there is not just the possibility but it most likely will happen again in shorter and shorter phases. You know it doesen't always go up, even with meditation you have to accept and even learn to appreciate the down phases in order to grow and staying on high levels for longer and longer peroids. It is all nice when you are on your high stages but when you fall back down again the true trial begins. -

Specific focus doesen't mean no awareness at all. You can simply watch anything that comes up, but the important part is to try to not control anything. My way of practicing Do nothing is that I simply keep my eyes open and stare at the ceiling while lying down and let my mind go crazy as it likes. I just witness everything that comes up without judgement simply letting it flow the attention can go from body sensations to thoughts to the ceiling doesen't really matter. This is the trick of this meditation you kind of train the ability to stay aware with anything that you unconscious would pay attention to at that moment, if this makes sense. A kind of auto-pilot purge of all the crap that accumulated over the years. -

I think changing techniques is a very important part of this work, trying around and finding the technique that suits you the best. You can also start of with splitting it into half of the time self-inquiry and the other half mindfulness meditation. I noticed for myself that changing techniques even in a single session makes me extend the time of my practice by alot. -
For me it also didn't work aswell, it seemed to me like it was a step back to the world of objects. I think it really depends on lets say level of consciousness you are at right now, with a 2 hour meditation the benefits would be bigger for me. But the thing I have to mention is that I was doing many self affirmations like that in the past although usually just for short periods and I think my thinking already is on the very positive side anyways.

@supremeyingyang Sometimes the deepest truths are the simplest ones. That is exactly what I am talking about, changing other peoples mind needs certain capabilities, why do you think people follow enlightened masters? If you start improving in many areas of life to a point where it almost seems supernatural to others, they will automatically start asking you for advice.
-
@supremeyingyang Because changing yourself is way more effective. Be the change you want to see in the world.
-
@supremeyingyang Change yourself in order to change the world. If at all the point when you should start trying to change others should be no sooner than after enlightenment, with the exception of people who ask for it of course.

@benny Learn to love the storms, they are a significant part of life. Just don't resist what happens and eventually you will be able to make anything happen.

It sounds amazing, going to try it tomorrow. Altough I think I will have a hard time thinking of that many best feeling thoughts, also this could backfire if you are choosing the wrong thoughts I think. If you constantly think a thought to feed your ego in a specific area just to be put down by life because you fail in that area anyway, although sure you create reality with your thoughts to a degree, but there are many factors that influence what actually works and what doesen't let alone unconscious stuff.
