Of course it will. Any insecurity, you added it. Realize this, and you can just take it off like a shirt that you put on in the first place.

@Old Soul It's because you are the universe. Stop looking at "Trump" and believing he is the universe. Don't believe the illusion bro. All is you. You are literally and figuratively trumping you're own power with illusion.
-
@Principium Nexus You and I, We literally, scientifically exist in seperate realities. The paradigm freedom you desire is within you, not what someone is doing to you. Don't believe the illusion. Everything is you.
-
@Old Soul Just a thought, you are saying you focus on yourself and not other peoples' ignorance. As an offering for your expansion and self discovery, which will bring the very freedom you seek - most of the words you use reveal your focus is on finding other people's ignorance. Can you find my nonignorance in this comment? It is in your comments.Godspeed.

Thank you!! I very wise 5 year old once told me in a waking dream - meditate to nothing, so you can mediatate to everything. Focus is all we have.

It's relative to where you're at. Takin a break might be good for someone with sex addiction. Gettin it goin might be good for someone wanting to connect or maybe explore, or who just enjoys sex and doesn't think of it as in the PD or metaphysics category. Someone with twelve voices in their head might find celebacy cuts it down to 3. Who knows. We're all so wonderfully different, especially when it comes to sex. Maybe you're wanting to discern where you're at with your sexuality more than your spirituality. Speculating, of course.

I'm gettin preachy. My apologies. That's great to hear. Sounds to me like you got this and I think you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Perhaps my understanding that my emotion follows my thinking is more of a philosophy. -

@Martin123 I'm running the risk of going right back in the hippy category to you, but for what it's worth...and man, I really really hope I don't offend you, that is not my intention at all...but......You are where you are, and it is perfect. I think you are letting go of the memories of the traumas of your past and that is just awesome. Perhaps, as you meditate and let those things go, on their way out, you are experiencing the emotion that is attached to those memories. It is important (please don't take offense here) to acknowledge that while you were a victim of someone else's actions, unequivocally you were, (and fuck them by the way!) ... take responsibility for the attaching that transpired. Maybe you were too young to understand anything like this when the trauma happened, and again, it is not your fault, you were a victim, you were not responsible for what someone else did, but, you did the perceiving. Let me just articulate one more time - I'm not saying you brought it upon yourself, you didn't. You deserved better. I say again - FUCK THEM. What I am saying is, ever since the event or events - you and only you have the control over how you choose to think and talk about it, and the thinking and talking is what you experience with your emotions. The thinking and talking are NOW. Those events are not NOW. You are keeping them in your NOW with your focus & word usage. So I'm saying - use it to your benefit now. Forgiving is "for giving". Whoever did you wrong, try to think about giving to them. Imagine giving them what you have learned in your life. I bet what you now know could and could give them would be the exact thing that could free them. It is the thing they did not have when they harmed you. When I think "what is the opposite of hippies", science and specifically quantum physics comes to mind. So I'll go that route. Consider using the Uncertainty Principle to your advantage. You are probably familiar with it, but perhaps applying it in this manor will be a fresh approach. We can look at where an electron is or where it is going. Never both. The more information we have about it's position, the less we can know about it's trajectory, and vica versa. Neither observation is more or less real. So, consider, are you looking at where you were/are, when you could be looking at where you are going? We have a tendency to think that looking at where we are is more logical, reasonable and respectable. But I say The Uncertainty Principle is a description of reality itself, not an opinion. So I never look back, I focus on what's coming, where I'm going, and it is as real to me as where I've been or where I am. On my best days, even more so. Feel your words for a while. Trust your emotions. Notice the subtly of how each word feels. Pick better ones. Pick the best feeling words you can. They define where you are headed. Over time, it will culminate and you won't see the wrong or feel the pain of your past. Instead, you will appreciate the catalysts that led you to your salvation, your liberation. It does take time, but doesn't it feel good enough just to feel that you are going in the right direction? -

@Martin123 Have you ever come upon the idea that we create our reality with our words? I did a while back. Maybe from Tolle, can't remember. That lead me to learning neuro linguistic programming. Not the Hitler kind. The PD kind. I can often tell right where someone is by the words they use. I use words thoughtfully based on how they feel to me. After some time passes, this makes a very big difference. I'd even go so far as to say that without this, the increased happiness and vision I obtain from learning does not become the default happiness I wake in, or my baseline if you will. -

I am being completely honest when I tell you, I have experienced the opposite. Meditation has never been work or labour to me. It is more like my "me time". Like golf, or playing guitar, or playing PS4, or singing, or reading a good book. What you are saying hits me like you are saying "I've been getting massages for many years and I'm finally breaking through the labor of it". In my experience it is the letting go of all thinking. Thanks to daily meditation (and lots of PD sources), I have not worked, labored, stressed, or anything like that in years. -

@BeginnerActualizer I have to chime in and give some first hand experience on this one. I think you're 100% right on this. My wife was a social worker and counseler for a decade. We have my friends circle, basically from highschool 20 years ago, an otherwise misc bunch - and her friend circle, basically from the social working field. Guess which circle has the most issues? Like attracts, in the mind. -

@Martin123 Salrightbro. Thanks. Your intuition is spot on. I am a hippie vibe guy, no doubt. When I was younger, I thought little of the hippy type. After learning about quantum mechanics, metaphysics, mental homeostasis, meditating for 20 years, etc, and maybe a few psychedelic travels, now I'm thinking the hippies were right all along. -God damn hippies! -Eric Cartmen -
I think you've reached capacity on "Who am I?". As in, it doesn't seem like you're getting anything out of it anymore, and maybe just kind of going in circles thinking about who you are. I suggest you transition to "What am I?". As time passes on the path of What am I?, you will gain insights, and one of the many benefits is that you will look at those people at a party very differently. You will see the majority are lost in Who am I? Go far enough on the path of What am I?, and you will see that you are them, and they are you, and all the comparisons will not even be observable for you anymore.

@Martin123 My kids couldn't tie their own shoes if I did not show them how. Alwaysbenice.......And nature made mind-medicine, they are called psychedelics.......That is just a damn good quote right there. -

@Martin123 I appreciate your input and I also think you are putting your own color on what I said and commenting to me as if I said what you perceived. I can certainly appreciate the need for professionals and time in cases of deeper issues. Absolutely. Twenty years ago I experienced Zoloft, Paxil, Wellbutrin, etc. One day, a nurse said to me "I'm tired of seeing you here. Start eating better, stop consuming caffeine and sugar. You're not even giving yourself a chance." I was more coming from this perspective......My dad did nothing for his PD. I don't think he ever exposed himself to the idea or category of it at all. So he was pissed all the time. He lived to work without even knowing it. I love consuming self help and PD. I eat healthy, meditate & exercise. My kids see that instead of what I grew up in. The difference this will make in their life is profound, but only by comparison to the shit they would have had to undo, like I did. Maybe people could just try the healthy PD path before or in conjunction with any other plan that benefits them. -
@clytaemnestra You just made the biggest step. Congrats. Try to realize it is this low that you are in that brings the desires for what you want. You, like I did when I was 21, are having a lower low than most people. I know it's impossible to see this now, but it is a gift. The gift is to realize that you are not just going to "live to work" or accept what is. You are not going to just "get in line" and work your life away. You are not depressed, you are an expander of the universe. Hang in there. You will bounce in perfect measure to soar to heights you can not even imagine right now. Some would ask for faith from you. I would suggest you realize that the universe is always expanding and then balancing. Use your ability to reason to know that there will be a ting to your current yang. And most importantly ....focus! Whatever you focus on becomes your experience and your experiences become your life. This IS what 21 is like. See that we stand to benefit most from what we realize we having been holding farthest away. When you say don't suggest meditation, you can realize that's because you stand to gain from it. think about it, if this were not true, you would not have typed it. It is not your fault. You are just thinking in terms of fault. Think in terms of adding to your experience and then expanding into the desirable things that the undesirable emotions bring to you. These emotions are there to guide you. Listen to them when they whisper from now on. There are 7 billion jobs. You get to pick one. You. get. To. Pick.

Intelligence is the fabric of the cosmos. It is revealed through all of us. It is quantum computing, random number generator experiments. It is the bond between body and mind. It is all things. Through the door of separation and observation of intelligence itself, lies intelligence itself. -
You get what you focus on. Just try to google something you have absolutely no knowledge on. Start a thread on something you have yet to think about. You can't. Everything that you talk about, think about, or say - you are only able to do so because at some point you put your focus on it. Your perception right now in this moment is a collection of every perception you ever experienced. It is perfectly so. So I suggest what you are looking to discover is the power of your own focus. If you see someone in need, realize it is a gift. If you were in need, you could not see their need. You can see their need, or you can see your ability to help, and you get to choose. Stop choosing self doubt and start choosing organic curiousity that is the expansion of the universe and the curiosity should help you to realize you are a part of the expansion of everything. Appreciate the variety for a second. In our world there is Trump, the Middle East, religion, spirituality, the quest for unity, NASA, botany, golf, music, etc etc etc. If one was using their focus, they could make a life of tennis. Just tennis, if they wanted to, without ever giving any focus to the fore mentioned topics.

@BeginnerActualizer I'm so with you on this topic. The diagnosis should be a description of what the person should do for themselves to feel better. Not an increased focus on the dissonance. The tough part is the variance of psych issues. I think there's a majority chunk that should not be labelled and can be ratified with simple eating habits, meditation and or exercise. Big Pharma is a major thing in this era. Then there are some more serious cases of course where scripts seem to be necessary - because in hind sight they made a huge positive impact. Just where the heck does the mind end and the legitimate psych diagnosis and script start? I don't know but you raise a great question. Society wise, if we could all just get on the well being - healthy plan, maybe we would shake a lot of these problems out over a generation or so. I know this will get me some ridicule here, but I think all roads lead to "fixing" these things vibrationally, or with sound frequencies. My heart really goes out to anyone experiencing any psych trauma, depression and anxiety. It's just the worst thing. A symptom is the lacking in positive perspective, and that makes everything else one is perceiving in their life look a way that makes it so hard to push through. Love is the most powerful healer, but what do you do when someone can't receive the love? -
