  1. @Loreena was anything helpful?
  2. There is so much available online. It's a buffet just for you. Try it all, eat what you like. It doesn't benefit you to express disdain for the mashed potatoes.
  3. @Akeberg It's always a good time to seek help from the outside. The more things you try, the bigger your view gets, the smaller your problems are. To me, It sounds like you're resistence isn't taking what other people say so seriously, it's that you're being so serious at all, about anything. You're list of PD material so far is great stuff but overall it's maybe...serious? Are there other sources or materials you use? Fun stuff? Notice how you have a clean mental slate when you wake up, and within a minute you pick up the resistant thoughts you carried yesterday. Just notice. You'll see you don't have to. Have headphones at the ready. Listen to something positive. Don't get out of bed. Take 20 minutes that is just for you to get your trajectory of your day pointed towards connection, unconditionally. Thoughts of what you have to do will pop up, but it will just have to wait 20 minutes. (IMO Abraham Hicks clips on YouTube are great for this, Timberlake, Jackson, Motown, Time to Pretend, etc) Do that every morning, and from that day on, just be aware of how you feel good, and notice when you encounter something or someone and start feeling less than good. Just notice when you "lose" that good vibe. Noticing this is a big step. When that happens, just be mindful that God/ Oneness /Universe is everything. Every single person and thing you can see around you is literally God. Be aware that wherever you go, God is everything around you always. Take comfort in the stillness, or silence, or backdrop behind everything. YouTube Elkhart Tolle. Be sure to relax your entire self and breathe from your diaphragm and belly when you can, through out your day. This triggers and aligns things you would not even believe. What happens over time is you are changing from being influenced to influencing yourself. Eventually, you will influence other people and situations without saying much. Noticing this is a big step also. Play the game, all day, every day, of noticing a good feeling thought... and a not good feeling thought. The choosing gets more refined & relaxed. Over time, you will begin to go entire days without a single resistant (not good feeling) thought. Your body will respond and you'll process / metabolize food in a more beneficial way. Your skin will look even healthier. Your eyes will sparkle more. You will start to notice that you were tired before from all the resistance thinking and you'll have higher, cleaner energy all day. You won't have the same perspective about what other people think anymore. It won't be something you even really think about.
  4. @Paul EMD Religion is being agreeable or at least faking agreeability to dogma. To me, just my connotation, a sect a group within a religion who were put off in some way by one or more leadership members so they go their own way, or become like minded in holding disdain.
  5. Hard Sun When I walk beside her I am the better man When I look to leave her I always stagger back again Once I built an ivory tower So I could worship from above And when I climbed down to be set free She took me in again There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world When she comes to greet me She is mercy at my feet When I see her pin her charm She just throws it back again Once I dug an early grave To find a better land She just smiled and laughed at me And took her blues back again There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world When I go to cross that river She is comfort by my side When I try to understand She just opens up her eyes There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world Once I stood to lose her When I saw what I had done Bound down and flew away the hours Of her garden and her sun So I tried to warn her I'll turn to see her weep Forty days and forty nights And it's still coming down on me There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world There's a big A big hard sun Beaten on the big people In the big hard world I interpret this song as written about the writer's enlightenment. I think when he's talking about 'her' in the lyrics, he's referring to 'the way', he has discovered, and when he sings the chorus, he's referring to the people yet to be enlightened, believing in 'a big hard world'.
  6. @username Anyone can prime their mind with a hopeful outlook by reading, redecorating, talking, listening, etc, to hopeful things. It is good. An enlightened person wouldn't flirt with hopelessness to begin with because there is no need to be hopeful if you are here, now. Hope is moving the mind from now to the future. Now is good.
  7. @username Enlightenment is not needed to choose a hopeful outlook, but it is needed to not need to feel hopeful.
  8. @Salaam Nice! I take it as a failsafe or something, put into this experience to prevent an actual experience from being given or received to or from someone else. It forces us to have to experience our own experiences. And then we go back and are one and it's all shared, and we rejoice, or I rejoice, maybe it rejoices? .
  9. @Bodhi123 I do love me some LoA & HUP! I feel like I went full circle, and back to my "life", and then it is like "ok, soooo now I can pick whatever thoughts, philosophies, etc that I want? And I'll just die eventually either way? Ya, I'm pickin all happy ones." And then, I'll be damned, that shit works! The LoA is crazy in it's surface level and depth, isn't it? When I mention it to my best friend of 29 years, he's like "ya, that's cool, just don't give them money or anything". Meanwhile, he's arguing with the wife, stressed about work, etc. On a good note, he started meditating just 2 weeks ago & lost 30 pounds since Jan 1!!!!! He'll be LoAing down the road!!!
  10. @PureExp Uncertain is good in my book too! If I'm ever totally certain somebody better wake me up! "Certainty - it's a well known unknowable unknown" - The Buddha In all seriousness though, I truly appreciate you PureExp! You go the distance and I respect the hell out of you for it! Thanks again!!! You too JSE!!!! I appreciate you!!!! You rock man. Your insights are eye opening for me. I am learning a lot from you both. I really love this shit. Going to mention you both on my blog, I hope you don't mind. http:/yourebothright/becauseof/theuncertaintyprinciple.com
  11. @Ludwig I love it. It's my favorite shake (with ice, banana and peanut butter, and chocolate milk) and it tastes great to me. It has everything I need in it. I go for weeks only having three of these a day and I find it to be similar to fasting but with unlimited energy. Eventually of course I eat some solid food, and I like that experience, but honestly I always notice a tiny 'slow down' effect on my body, intuition and clarity when I do. More of a loss of connection I think than a 'slow'.
  12. @LRyan Yes. No buts. Just an and then.
  13. @ajs Don't forget, you're a fuckin ass kicker! You're the unstoppable force! Sports brought that out of you. Now you get to use it. You've done 99% of that work already.
  14. Not much difference really between this post and the What makes woman sexy post. Just interesting.
  15. You said you are experiencing anger, so I was trying to be helpful by asking what your beliefs are that your experiences are not fitting with.
  16. @SLICKHAWK hangin in there bruh?
  17. Choice is hard to grasp
  18. What are you?
  19. Congrats. What to do now
  20. @MochaSlap In my perfect world, everyone plays an instrument. When we hang out, it's just a jam. No need for as much talking. I love music, I love losing myself, I love coming back. Best of luck to you in this and all your endeavors!
