  1. @bobbyward If you are the source and the source can do anything, why can't you do anything? What is the difference?
  2. @Annetta Now write I AM ________ _______ ________ ________ ______ keep repeating do you notice anything
  3. @Annetta writing down what you want is the beginning of creation. You're over thinking. Let it be simple. It's a one step at a time process, repetition, just like how you got to where you are now. You chose a victim perspective, and have been repeating it. Use the same process. Allow time. More repetition = less time.
  4. @bobbyward Aren't you also made out of source, which can do anything? If not, how are you seperate?
  5. @Mondsee My focus is on my health and state of mind, not controlling. I allow thoughts to pass right on through. Non-thinking is a blissful state, relative to the earlier years of my life when I suffered needlessly (in hindsight). Non-thinking gives me more clarity, to make better choices, and enjoy each moment as much as I can. There is ample research, studies & scientific evidence to support for or against free will. That is because that is the very nature of choice. It is up to you to continue with assumption causation reaction, or to begin making choices for your life. I am suprized to hear that you meditate but don't experience clearing your mind of that causation and choosing what you really want. There's a recent Big Think that touches on this. I'm happy to agree to disagree.
  6. @bobbyward Are you saying you are the same as a charactor in a dream? You are not a person typing these word (those words rather)?
  7. I'd be happy to be wrong. Can you elaborate on how you don't have free will, but "you" "proved" to Your "self" that "you" do not? What did the "proving"? What self was convinced by the "proving"? It seems to me you are implementing your free will in a literal sense while explaining that you do not have it. If and when you experience something paranormal, you might find what I said to be more worthwhile. Your 1/2 the experience of something like that. I apologize if I was arguing. If you know you don't have free will, what's with being on a personal development site? For you, what's the point of doing anything you do? If you don't have free will, then only one path of causation is possible, so you should stop doing anything and start chillin. Right? Or, you can't help but develop yourself, because there is no free will, because their is no self... but that doesn't add up either. Perhaps there is a level where we have and a level where we have not, free will. Simlilar to the laws of the different known scales of 'matter' - cellular, atomic, quantum, systems, etc.
  8. @Loreena Tell me why you're asking me that and you will have your answer. Or don't and you will also have your answer. See?
  9. @Mondsee I've looked into this. A lot. I know this is not a popular understanding, but I used to call bullshit on ghost / bad spirit stories. Then I experienced this for myself, and now I have an understanding of how important my intentions, beliefs, words, etc are. Now I am back to saying there is no such thing as ghosts, because, no thanks. Free will is the same.
  10. I think it's note worthy, given all the questions about simplicity, to mention that @krazzer meditated for 5 years. A lot goes on with the body & brain that amounts to big changes in perception in that duration. I hope pointing that out encourages confidence in daily meditation if anyone is feeling discouraged for missing something so plain & 'simple'. Congrats again K man!
  11. @Anirban657 I find that pushing myself physically spills over to pushing myself in general with all of the other areas in my life. I have a lot more energy and focus for my team at work, my wife, my kids, etc. Fitness also makes it much easier to eat healthy. When you're working towards improvement physically, other areas in life get sucked into that theme in a good way. Like @Siim Land said, it benefits confidence, mindfulness, awareness. It also results in a more calm state of mind throughout the day, making almost everything easier. I think all of these benefits lead to doing more & enjoying life more, which builds character.
  12. @Joseph Maynor seems to me everything is thought / belief. The harder part is attaining the awareness to choose them. We often talk ABOUT anything not realizing we are currently talking about something that if we stopped for a minute we would realize we don't even want to be thinking about it. Get momentum of on purpose thinking, talking going and it becomes clearer and clearer that all is thought.
  13. @Will You're talking about being desensitized, nothing is worth doing, needing to face your fears, considering psychedelics, needing to be compelled, having a hard time making sense of it all, needing to find more desire and passion, etc, etc, etc. I'm suggesting less talking about these things and more meditation, excercise, focus practices, contemplation. These are the things that will help you. You're not really contributing to anything here. Try working on your PD. You'll unstick yourself and be much happier and further along. "You're still young, that's your fault."
  14. @harisankartj doesn't the word infinite include everything?
  15. @harisankartj right. Things do not come from nothing, they come from everything. This coincides with the laws of the world you are living in.
  16. @harisankartj you think something can come from nowhere?
  17. @Will try taking some time off from correcting everyone and give the practices a try. you'll be so glad you did!!! @Will
  18. @harisankartj where did it come from?
  19. @harisankartj How does a painting come into existence?
  20. @Loreena Can you see that they are alive? Can you feel they are aware of you? Can you see the light emitting? Can you thank them for the breath you are taking right now?
