You got it pretty well there. You’re imagining that there is past and future, while there’s nothing but the present. Yet if we get more intricate, the persistence or stickiness is the claiming / identifying, such as I’m imagining. To ‘unstick’ that belief, imagine whatever, then purposefully don’t, and notice it isn’t making any difference. Roll with just ‘the present’, or even better… just… This. “This” is helpful in regard to gettin out of concepts about This, and recognizing ‘it’ IS This. When you add ‘moment’ it’s time, ‘every moment’ is more so, and to realize there is no change sort of requires realizing there is no time. Notice you are not, as you say, ‘imagining the past & future all the time’. You’re imagining it right now, or not at all. The thought about ‘all the time’, is a thought which arises now or not at all. Also notice, whatever could be meant by logic or understanding, it isn’t in a past or future, and it arises ‘in’ the present only as the thought, that there is, logic or understanding. As in, when you attempt to point to it you can not. Then revisit the ‘stickiness’ of claiming and connect those two dots. Don’t expect to ‘think’ realization. Contemplate it, then let it go. For good. Gone. That way the realization can arise where it was so to speak. There’s no experience of “we’re imagining”. You imagine that. Time doesn’t give anything because time is a thought. If it’s given, notice really, you’re givin it. No ‘thing’ gives illusion of anything, you are, or you are not. There is no possibility of imagining the difference of past or future, because there truly is not a past or future. That’s a thought, like logic or understanding, and not an actual comparison of anything. What is meant when we say the eternal now, is nothing, no thing, not a thing, nothingness, nonduality, not two. Meaning makes two. Thought makes two. Those won’t do.

@Insightful27 I’d wait on psychedelics. If you don’t, a trip sitter is ideal. If you trip alone, take 1g of shroom tea, ideally in nature like a cabin. But everything you’ve mentioned you’re looking for can be realized by writing what you want on a dreamboard and seeing that reality is unconditional and becomes it. This will heighten perception and feeling, weed out doubt, and bring passion up and out of you along with many insights and details for your life plans. -
@Lyubov She has issues with her crying, and her judgement, not yours. But you kinda sorta (trust, closing up, validation) lookin to make it yours too. But I suggest it’s a bit paradoxical, and she’s talking about suppression but hasn’t realized it yet (she’s in the projecting phase). You’ll find the middle way more readily for having expressed & released, vs holding it in, and carrying the weight.

Nahm replied to Richard Purdy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Richard Purdy To witness reaction (front) yet not to react (to ‘sit with it’ instead) is to maturely explore vulnerability which paradoxically results in the realization of the facet of invulnerability. Much more inherent than (dualistic) confidence, pride, etc. Intrinsic if a comparison could be made. -
That would probably be really awesome.

To die holding the bells and whistles of death is never to have lived at all. -
Partners can be whoever and however they consensually wanna be. There is no wrong, just apparent judgement, but, that’s really their business, not yours.

Now you’re getting somewhere. The knower can not know the knowers justifications & assumptions, as without them there is no knower. The assumption is a knower & a known. The justification of your idea (of it being right) hinges on using time to justify that there is no time. There is also the presence of the ever-notorious ‘it’, The Great Rug all justification, assumption and rationalizing gets swept under. See what “it” actually is. Then talk about “it”. -

@nuwu Well being. -
Nahm replied to iboughtleosbooklist's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@nuwu I meant like a heavy burden to bear, a discordant belief & perspective to carry. Being right about that skews literally everything, the entire experience. Inspiration, intuition, guidance, prosperity, all zilchified. I don’t envy the inner conflict whatsoever. -
Nahm replied to iboughtleosbooklist's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@nuwu Now that is gonna be a tough claim to shoulder. No envy here. @The0Self ? -

@Zeroguy The ocean is fucked. The sky, is fucked. The prism of the finite mind is many many times over, fucked. Have a good cry, drop your shit, and get started. Love you ? -

The title of this thread is literally only you are aware. For you, this would be like listening to a kid say I didn’t eat the candy bar while there is chocolate on his face. -
Nahm replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So would you agree then that Tyler was never really a person, but only the thoughts believed by, or, the delusion of, the narrator? Any thoughts on how that worked out for the narrator in regard to the end of the movie? Was there possibly a hindsight ‘lesson’ in the movie about what the narrator was really doing in his life, and how his delusion (Tyler) covered it up mentally? Maybe even going beyond that… how his life was telling him (the narrator) this throughout the entire movie… and he defaulted unfortunately, again and again and again to his delusion…? -

@OneHandClap This is the sound of two hands clapping. ? -
Nahm replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Concepts like that you are a thing which sees, is so to speak mental activity which is veiling, and which falls away naturally in meditation. Attachment, believing thoughts like ‘my body’, etc, is under appreciated. What is the only ‘thing’ which seems to be, but isn’t, in the movie Fight Club? I wanna say how can this possibly be missed. But I already know precisely how. -
Nahm replied to BeHereNow's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@BeHereNow Future is an abstract thought without an actuality of anything the thought points to, just like ‘an avatar of God’, time, and linear or nonlinear. Likewise, a mystical experience actually is a mystical experience, without an actuality of what it points to (you living in a future). That ‘everything will be gone & forgotten’ is really there already isn’t any thing… just the forgetting. Thought activity is the dualistic veil of for-getting (subject & object), thus, meditation is the way of remembering. NDE’s, mystical experiences, insights, revelations, etc, etc are all mystical experiences, and not it so to speak. No one knows what a real apocalypse is, because no one can experience it. Actually attempt to forget on purpose. It’ll be seen that you can’t, because there is neither. -
Nahm replied to Endangered-EGO's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Through meditation there is the cessation of believing thoughts, and it is readily ‘seen’ that ‘my mind’ is a thought. Just like ‘unicorn’ is a thought… you don’t assume there is one somewhere and start looking for it. Using the emotional scale, frustration is understood to be an emotion experienced, and is no longer credited to an ‘it’. In practice, this emotion is realized to be divine guidance, the very feeling letting you know ‘my mind’ is a thought, like wall, or understanding. The ‘frustration’ tells you this, but you haven’t meditatively listened yet. You’re still tryin to find some thing in thoughts instead. -
Nahm replied to Alfonsoo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shin There is no “suffering inside you”. There is that thought but not an actuality of it. That you / one could be detached from thought or action is also a thought which does not have an actuality / never actually happens or could happen. It’s starting from a place of confusion, like “control” or “controlling reality”. -
