‘Conclusions’ aren’t conclusions, but are beliefs. These can be let go meditatively. Rekindle this whole place. ?? Godspeed & God bless! “Emotional numbness” and “lack of desire” are beliefs, conceptualizations. Peel them away revealing you are most certainly already feeling at full throttle. Make a dreamboard & use the emotional scale each day. ??

Meditation. This is why it’s called, meditation. Teacher’s another thought. One identifying as such isn’t meditative, is not cessation, and is not, and can never be a supplement. It’s like actually playing a middleman to get in your own way, while meditation is already the middle way. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Love never fails. -
@Gesundheit2 Source is a master of getting you to express and open up, isn’t it so? I wouldn’t ‘play doctor’ with the meds, and in her shoes lots of therapy would be ideal. Blood does blind. The odds of her opening up and emptying discord with a stranger (therapist) are higher. No implication of any shortcoming on anyone’s part. I’d also do my best in your shoes to put down the wrong vs right lens. Allow all resources, not right resources. The more she experiences directly the better.

Maybe that is the belief, the “programming”. If so, maybe let it go. Meditation. ? There really is no you.

@Ash55 ‘The power’ empties out the illusory dualities of the finite mind, and then empties ‘itself’ of the so called finite mind. Experientially (yet not actually) this is “losing your mind”, until it is clear there is no such things as losing your minds. Depending on if & how context is held in regard to this experience, the experience can very much vary. The experience of this with long sits can be similar to the body load phase of a psychedelic trip. As the mental dualities empty out, there is sometimes an experience of, you might say, the mixing of thought (conceptualizations of ‘the power’) & perception, often referred to as hallucination(s). It’s not uncommon apparently for this emptying of the dualities of others to be experienced perceptively like a bunch of eyes looking at you, and even deities, God’s, entities etc. Resistance to the emptying out could be related to being young and doing such long sits. It’s a rare combo, such a young age doing such long sits. A shorter duration with perfect daily consistency might be a much easier experience of emptying. And it’s ok to let go of beliefs which came from others. Just sittin, relaxin, breathing. No biggie. All loss is conceptual, and emotional clarity stands to change this emptying experience such that there is no ‘mixing’ experienced, no hallucinations, no projections, no fear of loss at all. Then consider, if you like, the longer sits resulted in an actual change of the frequencies of the entirety or whole of experience, hence the ‘siddhi’s zone’ was experienced, leaving perhaps a mix of dualities and ‘the power’, experientially seemingly like you had the power, and the power ‘comes & goes’. With shorter more consistent sits, it is more smoothly and clearly ‘seen’ this is not the case.

Whoever’s opinion(s) it is you’re worried about. Sounds like people at college. When there is the willingness to look and to see it is only your opinion that is discordant, there is some relief and clarity ensues. The same is true for desiring people think highly of you, as a means to feeling better. Doesn’t pan out. Only your opinion matters there too. Other people don’t have anything to do with it. It’s communion, between you and source, and the attention therein. (As in, attention on the thinking the discordant feeling is because of other people, vs on the feeling is letting me know about what I’m thinkin).

It’s preferential to watch these things, not an inquiry of any kind. There are other forums online for similar interests.

@Noahsteelers34 When you acknowledge how you feel is directly related to what you’re thinking, you simultaneously realize this is true for everyone else. Then you aren’t as concerned about what other people are thinking about you, because you realize they’re feeling it. Not you. No longer believing the undesirable sensations are because of what they think, and considering you might be experiencing jealousy may feel just a bit better. Perhaps, you see that they aren’t as concerned about what you or others think, and desire to experience similarly.
-
That feel great, or more so, seem right, like accurate?
-
@Noahsteelers34 Why do you want to get rid of the sensitivity?
-
Beauty, like judgement is in the eye of the beholder. Outmatched is a concept, not a feeling. Believing it is a feeling is self defeating.
-
The worry, doubt, fear and anxiety all tell you about what and how you’re thinkin.
-
Do your best to re-frame that experience of desensitizing yourself, as having become more aware of just how sensitive you actually are. Then notice the discordance in sensitivity isn’t worry for the reputation. It’s just the worrying which feels discordant. The reputation is a justification of the worry. But no justification of worry will ever feel as good as the absence of doubt & worry. No plan will ever solve it. The plan & the need are beyond the justifications. The plan of how to avoid, justifies and thus ensures, the worry. Likewise, anxiety & fear.
-
If it’s helpful… ? Don’t believe in fear, understand what fear actually is. Don’t think about awakening(s). Don’t understand anything about yourself. Be aware of your focus, behaviors & actions, and the discord or alignment therein, now & here, the only actual time and place there is. So to speak.

To any extent it could truly be said you are stuck, it isn’t in the relative, it is believing conjecture. The point of the dreamboard is conscious creating. Right now, write what you want on it. Thoughts will arise as to ways of going about it, experiences you desire. Write them on the board. If ‘stuck in the relative’ is desired, write that on the board. If not, write what is. Today = Christmas. Merry Christmas. Write your list. Stop being so naughty.

@pfletcha I didn’t. The illusion of I & choice were /are realized meditatively.

@ValiantSalvatore Thanks, and glad to hear what you’re doing is working for you. ?? God bless.

What you’re directly experiencing is thoughts about what you’re being told. You can believe those thoughts, or let them go and get on the path to the actuality, or Truth. The most grave belief so to speak, of everything you’ve shared, is ‘enlightened friend’. -
If i am my coffee table as much as i am this dude, then why do i experience being this dude and not a coffee table? Why am i not a coffee table that tries to find out what it is versus being this dude that's trying to find out what he is? Why am i aware of dude by default and not coffee table by default? That you are, or could be, or could realize you are a coffee table is actually a misunderstanding of direct experience. ‘Dude’ & ‘coffee table’ are thoughts, which you are equally aware of, like any other thoughts. How do i prove to myself that i am the coffee table without the answer being to just take in everyone else's beliefs and then to hammer it into me? You’ve already taken in the belief you could prove or realize you are a coffee table. For an I to prove something to a myself, there would have to be two entities, an I, and a myself. Notice these are two thoughts (‘I’ & ‘myself’), not two things or entities (which you could point to). So it's a game of purifying my beliefs that hold me back from realising my true nature. And then awakening will follow spontaneously the more i meditate and purify my beliefs, correct? It’s not that beliefs are purified per se. It’s that arising thoughts are presently believed as quickly as they are arising, which could be referred to as thought reaction, thought attachment, or, monkey mind. That ‘reacting’ is referred to as craving & aversion, being ‘stuck in the matrix’, ‘being asleep’, or most simply, what suffering is. Thoughts can be meditatively ‘let go’ by giving attention to the breath instead of the thoughts. Consider your car, as compared to other miscellaneous cars on the road. There is little mental engagement with other cars on the road, because they aren’t believed to be yours or about you. They come & go freely and this is of no concern to you. There is much engagement with thoughts, because they are believed, and thus seem like “your thoughts”, and many seem to be true about you, like ‘dude’, ‘I’ & ‘myself’. As you allow thoughts to freely come & go, without reacting, emotions are more pronounced. Understanding the emotions you are experiencing therefore couples very well with meditation, and I’d recommend spending some time with each daily. Before beginning meditation and understanding emotions, I’d address any nutritional opportunities. I recommend the loophole shake as it is cheap, packed with nutrients, incredibly simple, and tastes great. (Thus, the diet ‘loophole’). This (nutrition, meditation & understanding of emotions) is most often the difference between a very rocky tumultuous path filled with spiritual ego, nihilism, God complexes, solipsism, new meta-beliefs, etc, and a smooth profoundly enjoyable life enriching relationship enhancing path. This is foundational alignment imo, and it is spacious, wonderful and the gift in & of itself so to speak. As in, not a goal to be reached, but a natural unfolding of Truth in, an as, the present. This brings about cessation, or, the end of suffering. Then I’d consider psychedelics. I’d also make a dreamboard, and put everything & anything you want to experience on it, as it comes to mind. Then I’d receive everything wanted, by aligning focus with thoughts about what you want, which feel good to you.

@catcat69123 ? @tashadwoodfall I’d meditate twice daily and eat very nutritiously instead of adding (anyone else’s) content. Empty cup is best ime. I’d also apologize or forgive whatever or whoever came to mind. And I’d clean out the messiest drawer in your home awesomely. Do lots of research on set, setting and dosage. Ramp up slowly with dosage. -

There isn’t, but thought makes it seem so. -

The (‘nighttime’) dream is that there is a body, mind and world. There wasn’t and isn’t, it’s a dream. The only ‘substance’, is ‘dream’. There are no separate objects in a dream, ‘that’s’ dreamt. There is also not consciousness ‘in’ the dream, also dreamt. It’s exactly as experienced, dream. Whereas parallel worlds, a past, a waking world and a you are conceptual, conditioning, conjecture. Truly, no one knows. -

Death, God realization, and unicorns. No peanut though. The belief in the formers is readily seen as the same as the belief in the latter. What a funny infinite relief.
