  1. The insights in this book... ...and this realization... Are a heck of a two punch combo in regard to the recognition of concentration. Anticipate some deep releases. Godspeed. ??
  2. The key is recognizing this is still the activity of the mind, or, ‘the thinker thinking’ facade, and being so transparent in feeling, as to recognize you actually love this entire experience, this metadventure of reality discovery you’re having, just as it is. Here’s some meditations that can help in letting go and reorienting to the source of feeling... Seeing Yourself With Love Emotional Awareness Meditation Lovingkindness Self Inquiry And don’t forget the most fundamental obvious ‘practice’ of all...loving. Today. Like, now.
  3. Self Inquiry ...Focus on the feeling of being "me," to the exclusion of all arising thoughts... ...If a thought does arise, ask yourself to whom this thought is occurring, as this returns your attention to the feeling of being "me."... ...Many people misunderstand the self-inquiry technique to mean that the person should sit and ask themselves the question, "Who am I?" over and over. This is an incorrect understanding of the technique. The questions "Who am I" or "To whom is this thought occurring?" are only used when a thought arises, in order to direct attention back to the feeling of being "me." At other times the mind is held in silence. Having An Inner Smile ...Sometimes we can get in our own way by striving too hard or taking life too seriously. Smiling and lightening up can be beneficial for both physical and mental health. Having an inner smile means we’re greeting our experience with more kindness and openness. As Thich Nhat Hahn says, “You need to smile to your sorrow because you are more than your sorrow.” Holding an inner smile also reminds us to keep a sense of humor and avoid being too hard on ourselves. Lovingkindness ...This meditation technique will enhance your feelings of unconditional love towards other people. It will also help you to love yourself. It reduces feelings of judgment and condemnation, and increases the sense of compassion, connection, and open-heartedness. You will radiate a sense of peace, love, happiness, and comfort to all around you.
  4. @Forestluv That is wonderful to read man. ??
  5. For the sake of communication & clarity....not sure what is meant by ‘thought vs present moment discourage’.
  6. Think of it like running out of gas. The relevant time to inspect is not while the engine is shutting off. The belief does not align with the true nature, the truth, what’s actual, and is affecting your sleep and your family. I’m on your side man. I’ve no interest in being right, or pretending you can inspect in your sleep.
  7. Inspection of direct experience is not a theory. There is no feeling or perception of death - that is what is found when properly inspecting direct experience...liberation from the suffering. Death is a belief, a thought. I’m interested in your liberation of this (op) suffering, not any theories. You can reflect on it, and you can inspect direct experience, and it won’t happen anymore. I’m not trying to ‘be right here’ btw, I’m trying to help. Allowing help is a most fundamental principle. (Imo) You can inspect direct experience now. Now is actual.
  8. You’re talking about a thought, a belief. Feeling is loud and clear that the thought / belief is false. Suffering is ‘siding’ with the thought, aka “being right”. Don’t ‘just live with it’, recognize your true nature. It’s so present and clear. Thought: There are individual people (who live and die), and I am a ‘individual person’. Perception: Seeing, hearing, etc (there is no experience of ‘perception of thoughts’, perception is only perception. There is no perception of ‘people’, that’s a thought.) Feeling: Unconditional love (experiencing the relativity of the thoughts. The discord & alignment of each thought). (Not meant in any personal sense at all btw.) A belief is a thought one believes is true. That is thought attachment, aka ‘monkey mind’, ‘ego’. In direct experience, you have never experienced death in perception or feeling....only the thought / belief. The Good News is death is a belief! This is evident right now in direct experience.
  9. Uh....it’s not though. The experience is of the thought of death, not of death. That thought is not jiving with you because you are actually eternal. If you listened to the response of the feeling, rather than the content / implication of the thought, this is the most obvious explanation.
  10. What does it say about your true nature that these thoughts don’t resonate? Imagine that multiplied by eight billion.
  11. The solution is always letting go, and is never solving thought with more thought. As such, there is no actual solution, there is only letting go of “the problem” perspective. The so called duality of a relative world is not something which is ‘out there’ somewhere, it is only apparent as thought. Letting thought go is like expressing emotions, emptying the cup. There is no “cup”.
  12. “Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am”.
  13. @zeroISinfinity Clocks are like the spinning top in Inception. They’re lucid dream triggers.
  14. Contemplate the distinction between ‘only one can be true’ and nonduality, or, “not two”. Whatever you come up with, run it through the same ‘filter’. Spot a & b, 1 & 2. ‘Reduce’, so to speak, until there is truly not two.
  15. Yet, one can be in love with life, doing well, feeling great, enjoying experience, relationships, not suffering at all...just wanting to know if there is a truth or not. And if there is, what it is.
  16. If there really were time there’d be no clocks.
  17. @Forestluv ?? I asked for an insight and have been hit with an ocean. Will read that again later and sleep on it and read it again tomorrow. Between the experiences of my sessions and helping my mom through this, I’m at a complete loss for words (in the Good way). Thank you!
  18. You’re onto something...its that there’s no ‘you’. Isness is conceptually, a bit, being framed around ‘you’. Isness is Being...being ‘you’. It’s not that ‘your’ experience / perspective is actual/Isness and others aren’t. There is no you and others, there is the experience of thought attachment. Being is being the isness, as a time, a place, metaphysical nature, etc, etc. @How to be wise Nothing is happening. Those are thoughts. Appearance. You. Try pointing to time, without the thought label. Try pointing to something happening, without labelling.
  19. @LfcCharlie4 Holy smokes yes. Lol. I loved black mirror! One episode triggered a few day spiritual ego dark night! That one where the guy logs in to his virtually reality at home...with the people from the office in it, where he controls reality. It was one of those ‘ah shit, there’s a wake up call here I don’t wanna process, but really know I need to’. It really is awesome how, like you pointed out, the ‘regular’ fiction stands to reveal and point to what we can let go...and get on with this celebration. ?
