  1. “This place is a dream. Only a sleeper considers it real. Then death comes like dawn and you wake up laughing at what you thought was your grief”. Rumi
  2. @Soullee One of the tools on my website is a dream journal, and it’s simpatico with what you’re describing. Give it a try, I think you’ll find many insights.
  3. More contemplative than meditative. Posing what it is you want to know, relaxing the body & clearing the mind, and receiving insights which are experientially distinct from thoughts. What I’m pointing to with the suggestions is what the text in the book is about. Do you think there is much to be said for any of the current forms of Christian monasticism in regards to awakening ? Getting back to your op question, imo the path is really the inquiry ‘what is this and what am I’, until one is ridiculously satisfied beyond any question or doubt. An all encompassing adventure for one, rather than a mono as in singular path like a science, religion, practice, experience, ism, etc, etc. I’d categorize that approach with the Bible as theory & contemplation, and not inspecting direct experience. Yet one can also contemplate and receive insights with inquiries on direct experience.
  4. It’s not in the knowledge, way of thinking, or the organization of the text in the mind. To point to a change, it would be in the approach. There is no thinker of thoughts, they just arise / appear. Thoughts have a source which is always in communication with the body mind as source is being ‘it’ by appearing as ‘it’. So it’s kind of a reading contemplatively, posing what it is you want to know, a single sentence at a time, relaxing the body and clearing the mind, and essentially waiting for the responding insight to arise. As far as sentiment, I’d call it trusting the body as an antenna, like a vessel to receive communication from source. This might sound like an abstract answer, but I hope it’s helpful. A re-source won’t do, when you have source, so to speak. Also, and this has a tendency to sound ‘personal’, but like it says in the Bible, the body is the temple. There is an unseen flow of well being, and considering the body as the antenna, there are foods, substances and thoughts which align with well being, and foods, substances and thoughts which don’t. Alignment is clearing the way of this communication via contemplative reading.
  5. Sometimes more extreme examples are effective in drawing out the point, or the distinction & difference being communicated a bit more. That can also (if you deem it so) be helpful in beginning to recognize nothing anyone says actually makes you feel uncomfortable. You’re not feeling the resonance of sound with feeling, but of your thoughts with feeling. Also, it’s a hypothetical example, and not something intended to be about you personally. It’s intended to help you via the consideration of a perspective other than your current perspective, which doesn’t feel good to you. As you mentioned, in recognizing those are beliefs... focus instead on what you do want. A belief is a thought you repeatedly focus on. Choose better feeling thoughts about yourself, feel the truth & alignment of this. More thought about there being a problem or something wrong with you recreates the discord with feeling, and doesn’t ‘solve the thought’...it’s really just more focusing on what you don’t want, what doesn’t feel good, to you. Make a dreamboard. Express & understand arising emotions, rather than framing up a separate self which has something it has to ‘overcome’. Let go of what you yourself do not want. Consider researching a lot on what you do want. Yes, and (imo) the best ‘help’ is not telling the story that you don’t even like to focus on. Time is precious, life is short, focus is power. You’re experiencing whatever story you’re telling. You are free to start telling the story of everything you do want, and you will experience it. You are so absolutely free that you can tell the story of ‘stuck’ or ‘need’ or ‘must overcome’, and you will be experiencing that. You can express how you feel now - without telling a story of a past. What you’re directly experiencing now is actual, a past is not. Identifying by recreating the same story makes it seem so...makes it seem as if that is who you are, now. Experience the change in feeling & momentum, by choosing to tell the story of wanted. Allow emotions to arise and be expressed. Continue on the focusing of that which is feeling good. I don’t presume the thoughts of “destroying this identity” or “self improvement” feel good. You don’t have to ‘go back and destroy anything’...and there’s nothing wrong at all with you such that you ‘need improvement’. Trust the guidance of feeling in regard to those thoughts. You can begin focusing on what you want, now, and you will love how it feels, because you are a creator. It’s a pointing of an orientation of aligning with what is true, actual, and feels amazing...yet, that is always up to you, because you are absolutely free. You are writing about it. You are aware of it. You’re experiencing the momentum of your creating. It is not a matter of fault, but of focus. There’s just no ‘getting around’ now. When those thoughts arise, you feel them, and they do not feel good, which is why you are writing about it, which is great. You can continue focusing on what didn’t feel good to you in the first place, and still doesn’t. You can also listen to feeling, and focus on what does feel good to you, what you do want to experience. You can frame it up that you need something, but I am suggesting it’s a matter of letting go of beliefs about yourself which don’t feel good - to you - and focusing on what does feel good - to you. You might be missing that I am making a case for you feeling amazing, better & better, shifting the momentum, experiencing all that you desire to experience. I could not be more ‘on your side’. ? You’re already free, but are believing you need something more to be able to focus on what you want. Dreamboard makes this incredibly easy. Expressing emotions instead of avoiding them makes life amazing and worthwhile. It literally makes sense of experience. I don’t need to say anything to anyone with social anxiety, as I have directly experienced those thoughts about ‘myself’. You’re thinking & communicating in double negatives. If & when you make a dreamboard, accommodate the habit & change the focus to what you do want, by making a list of everything you know you don’t want to continue experiencing, and then write the opposites (what you do want) on your board, and focus on that, and your experience will become that (it already is), and again, since you’ll be focusing on what feels good to you, that which you desire to experience, you’ll feel, good. Don’t suppress, destroy, or run. That is the suffering. Express. Feel. Release.
  6. @Someone here Totally your call obviously. It’s solipsism, but I’m not saying that to rip on you, but to suggest you go meet The Wizard and see.
  7. Is peace different from happiness? In terms of personality, there might be ornery, humorous, insightful, etc, attributes of the apparent body mind. In terms of being, there is peace, happiness, love, etc. ’We’ are essentially experiencing a blending of true nature, and being...human beings. How do you find your ‘peace of mind’? This is the beauty of it... you can’t and don’t need to find peace of mind. It is the inherent true nature. It’s what is, what remains when what doesn’t resonate is let go. We uncover the gift of the present, ourself. ? How is peace connected to detachment? Is it true that the more detached you are, the more peaceful you are? Letting go of what doesn’t serve you is more of an unclogging, unblocking or clearing... the true nature shines through because it already is being all, including any clogs, blocks, or obscurities. Picture a flashlight shining an image on a wall (what you’re experiencing; thought & perception), and that image getting clearer for having removed some specs of discord with the light, from the lens. Because you are creating your reality (appearance), you find as you ‘clear’ the lens, more of what you are wanting flows into experience... literally appears as experience. Because source (the flashlight) is unconditional, you experience what you focus on... so make a dreamboard already, and effortlessly consciously focus, on what you want. How beautiful is the process of co-creation!? You might find that you have been focused primarily on what you don’t want, or on avoiding what you don’t want...in that case write a list of everything you know you don’t want...and then write the opposite, and put that list on your dreamboard, and focus on that. By focus I mean feel it already being the case. Completely leave rational collective thinking which is rooted in causation, doing, actions, etc, and fantasize, dream of the life you most desire, and experience it ‘in the flesh’. Also, consider some focus on helping others, on spreading the message. Imagine the power of this as all of us co-create wanted together, with source, as source. That’s kinda the ‘big’ idea here, the inherent could-be-no-other-way ‘design’. This appearance is vibrational. That is what emotions are. To ‘unclog’, express. Allow the vibration ‘through’, so to speak. If for example, you find yourself focusing on thoughts about yourself which do not resonate, like fear, unworthiness, etc... shift focus to what you want to create, be, have, do and experience. You will feel relief and a great Hell Yes from the source ‘within you’ - The Creator...creating...creation. https://www.actualityofbeing.com/the-emotional-scale https://www.actualityofbeing.com/tools

  9. @SuicidalBug By being experience, the sphere of the world and lens by which to experience it, it relatively, experientially, seems there’s a middle. Outwardly, we all have a unique experience, inwardly, we all have the same source. Any one which looks up at the stars each night, were they to take a picture each night and then overlay them, would see the universe is expanding from ‘their’ point of view, because “point of view” is through the lens, and of the world.
  10. Excellent work man. This might bring some insights & clarity to that.

  12. Awesome, but also, ‘you’ don’t / won’t ‘get it’, you’ll literally become it. Try it and see. Let all resistant thoughts and feelings go / know how to & raise your vibration. .
  13. “I” is a thought, not perception. Memory isn’t someone a you has, it appears ad disappears, just like everything else, because it’s an appearance. No, they marry thought & perception and assume rather than inspect & meditate (stop believing thoughts). You’re doing the same in this assessment of them of you. Yes that is what it means. A charactor in a movie isn’t born & doesn’t die, the movie appears only of the screen. An appearance isn’t inhabited, it’s appearing. Solipsism. ? You’re appearing as the spheres, and “subjective experience” is the appearance of the lens and the “objective” sphere of the world, or universe.
  14. Source is within you. There is no secondary source outside of you which could cause you to lower your vibration. When you watch the scary movies, feel the alignment or discord with beliefs as you do. Feel out the thoughts from ‘it’s a movie, it’s for entertainment’...to...’this could cause my vibration to lower’. I think it will feel like relief, and tensing, respectively.
  15. Try to actually go to a past or future. It helps the realization you = now, or, that you only experience the present. What will this unfold to be for you in experience is the question, imo. Notice experience has only ever been what you’re focused on. It really is quite a present.
  16. @Lyubov Dreamboard. Totally works. Can’t physically manifest instantly though, but only because you already are.
  17. Great thread. I’ve found TRE to be ideal, especially coupled with expressing each emotion. Complete body mind clear out. Animals are so smart. I’ve also found basic deep stretches a couple times each day,(and breathing into the muscle stretched), a couple minutes each time, to function as maintenance / no build up, resulting in a natural embrace to feel as deeply as can be.
  18. Free will is just a thought. Like determinism. Nothing to get in a twist over.
  19. @soos_mite_ah I’m not trying to ‘knock’ your beliefs, I respect that as your prerogative, really. I’m sharing that I have found, in inspecting beliefs, that one can not think perception. When you say ‘perception is our world view’, to me, you’re talking about perspective. By perception, I mean seeing, hearing, etc. If you’re interested you can check what I’m pointing to in your direct experience right now. Notice seeing for example, and think anything you like about it, and you’ll notice it has no bearing, it creates no change, to seeing. Though we believe thoughts as labels for “things”, there are no “things”, nor is there any separation in perception whatsoever. In regard to your original post, what is it then, in this light, to “absorb other people’s trauma”? What is trauma? WHat is it’s source? How is it or would it be transmitted? Is it what happens or is happening, or is it what happens or is happening to someone? Given a certain spectrum of clarity on thought attachment and that perception can’t be thought, nor can thought be perceived, what sense can it make to focus on being cautious or anxious about what you experience, when it is your thoughts and perception? What sense does it make to think in terms of “yet” as you mentioned in your op? Is empathy the same as being empathic? These are sort of contemplative suggestive questions, I’m not really asking for any answers, just adding to the inquiry of your thread.
  20. You’re a normal person and nothing is wrong with you, in the sense, you don’t need to “be better”. How you are is already fine. You’re good to go. Focus on what you want. Motivation: How to not experience what I don’t want. How’s it feel?: Terrible. Inspiration: What I do want. How’s it feel?: Fucking awesome. Shift from thinking about yourself, to what you want to do, create, & experience. One thinking about how they need to improve themself, and one thinking about how they are perfect and better than everyone else, both share the same emotion and hurdle - boredom, and no traction on creating the life they are inspired to create, because they’re both thinking of themself instead. What you do, create and experience, won’t be you, it’ll be experience, which is happening either way. Make a dreamboard, fill it with what you like, that will be what’s happening. You can’t get it wrong. No matter what you experience, you derive preference, more clarity on what you do want, and on what you don’t want...and you again, focus on what you do want, and then you experience that. Make a dreamboard. Understand how you’re creating emotions by expressing & directly experiencing, emotions.
