If you look up at the sky, notice there’s no such thing as an earth. It’s likely the next thought is ‘but I’m standing on it’, and that reveals the thought attachment in regard to beliefs you are (only) the body / mind. Contemplate and inspect what the whole of the experience is made of vs assuming there is separation. Notice the body is made only of what is eaten, and all that is eaten grows from the earth. How is the you separate, in a literal sense? Thought attachment (‘earth’, ‘round’, etc) is the same ‘on it’ or ‘looking at it’. Thoughts about perception, are thoughts about perception, and do not actually define perception. -
@Flowerfaeiry Why don’t you want to be around drinking and partying? What plans do you have which that doesn’t jive with?
-
Those are still thoughts about you, how a you should be. What comes off to others as arrogance, from your perspective would be more readily recognized as ignorance and delusion. I don’t mean that in any sense these are shortcomings, just thought attachment you aren’t aware of yet, so to speak. Thoughts don’t define you. Most people are aware of this. That’s the arrogance factor, which you might be seeing other people are aware of. It’s not that you are ‘the hottest shit to walk planet earth’, or that you are higher conscious than anyone. It’s that you’re believing thoughts about you are really about you, or, identifying with ideas of you. Feeling the burn, or suffering...but rationalizing with ‘self deception & devilish ways’ and justifying with ‘I had a weak and undeveloped ego’. Those are all still just thoughts / concepts.

So true! I agree. There’s no need to bring it up. It really depends a lot on the industry, line of work, and who you’re talking to specifically. Generally speaking, when it comes up, it might be easier to refer to it as spirituality rather than personal. -

I wouldn’t put it on your resume. -
@Mesopotamian That’s one way to think indeed. Reading through the lines just a bit, I see your values, and they are so good.

Thought is dual, actuality is not. When you spend 500 hours watching Leo's videos, and reading around 20 good books, I suggest you just engage in a relationship with the other sex completely. It is completely possible to have an honest meaningful connection with someone who hasn’t done the work. This is why many sages choose to create relationships when they progress in their journey. I've learned about myself from dating for more than a year now, and I can see that I can enjoy and be genuine, as I care to establish a relationship with someone and not judge them or hold standards and expectations upon them because of things I’ve heard. Like I can be close to anybody who are willing to stay the same, have superficial replies, and ask silly stupid questions... and I don’t even have to judge them for it. When you open up to someone like that, you really realize what projection is. They start to give you advice, which is very insightful to your own blind spots. Like I was chatting the other day with someone, and she said "What's wrong? you seem to have something wrong in your life" then ended her conversation with "Try to stay away from toxic people", and I listened and considered what she said, because I might be missing something here. I started to think that only less developed people are able to afford to connect and have a relationship, and of course the vast majority of that ends in a disaster for both of them, but then I recognized this is opinion. https://youtu.be/HSSO_mqPBCI

People who believe people have awareness or consciousness.
-
Awareness is aware of thought, perception, and sensation. What is the ‘you’ that is being built up? Which is arrogant? Which knows about spiral dynamics etc? Is that ‘you’ within sensation? Do you see that ‘you’? Take the focus off what you’re saying for a while, and look for, inspect, in a literal sense, what you’re talking about.
-
Be more interested in what is true, than what you believe you are right about.

@Tim R Yes basically. A thought arises that there is that, and the direct experience is that there isn’t a that. “Direct experience” is a term which points, and kind of ends there. The “experience of no experience” isn’t even an experience. There isn’t and never has been such a definable ‘thing’ as experience. This is the plot of The Wizard Of Oz. You wanna be smart? You already are, you were just thinking you aren’t. You wanna be brave? You already are. You wanna have a heart? You already do. You wanna hang out with Lollipop Kids and flying monkeys? Take a psychedelic.

What’s a ‘they’? -
What’s realized is that there isn’t, which also isn’’t realized per se.
-
@fopylo Try letting a few thoughts go, and reading what’s being said a few times. Express that fourth or fifth thought rather than the first. ??
-
@fopylo Nobody needs to change. Everything’s perfect just as it is. If you have a problem with that, it is you saying there is a problem with what is actual, with what is, and thus if there is suffering, it is yours and you are creating it.
-
@fopylo Feeling is as much a task as breathing.
-
Same way you are. You weren’t changing, inspecting, questioning... and you witnessed an example of someone who was...and now you are. Now it’s your turn to be that example for someone else.

Infinite Mind. The lens of the finite mind. A magnifying lens makes things seem magnified, and the experience is magnification. Through the lens of the finite mind non local experiences locality, infinity experiences space, infinite intelligence experiences thoughts, infinite potentiality experiences concepts. By appearing convincingly tangible. You’re being ‘it’, to experience. Like having a dream at night and noticing you’re nowhere to be found... and realizing it’s because you’re being the dream. When the dream is over, it’s clear it was your dream. This is why awakening is called awakening. How could there be awakening if you were not first asleep? And if you are asleep, that means you’re dreaming right now. Awakening would be realizing this...real...I...is...this. Thought attachment. The thought ‘human’ is not perception, but we get accustomed to believing our thoughts literally label separate things. Like watching a movie, the actors would be talking about ‘things’, but you’d be aware the actuality of the whole of the experience, is actually the appearance of a screen. Nonduality means not two, such that there is not one thing which possesses a second thing. Mindfulness is noticing the difference. There is the thought ‘mine’, but there is no actuality of separation. -
@Heaven When discord is already present & felt... what people might think, if they’ll relate or understand, if they’ll accept, and the ‘process’ of ‘resolving’ this in thinking leads back to that discord, which is between truth and the thoughts, not a person and another person, not one’s thought’s on another’s potential or possible thoughts. The psychedelics are no different. They’re attentive to what other people might think like a steam roller is attentive to an ant.

@Vrubel Integrity is between you and source, not you and others.
