  1. @sara373 How to overcome sadness and overly sensitive? One sensitive, or ‘overly’ sensitive, is not sad. One sensitive is too sensitive to entertain discordant thoughts. To heal them, you must first find them. If you can not find them, maybe you are creating the emotional experience ‘as you go’, or ‘on the fly’, and that is the key insight. What is the ‘message’ of feeling in these cases? What is the ‘lesson’, in regard to sifting through perspectives? Maybe the answer is you’ve identified as overly sensitive in relation to others - and something just isn’t quite ‘fitting’ there. If “I am overly sensitive”, then how I feel can’t possibly be only related to the perspective I hold & the thoughts I focus on… to how and what I think… because it is already defined & believed as related to other people. What if it’s not, at all? What if actual liberation sounds cold at first, but isn’t, at all? See if it can be realized ‘things and people can emotionally bruise me’ is a thought in your direct experience, and that thought is felt. Try to feel other people thoughts on purpose. Like, in the literal sense… be telepathic, know what someone else is thinking, write it down, and see how other people’s thought feel to you. Also consider they are feeling their thoughts, and you yours, so to speak. What if you are literally creating reality, ‘in the now’? If that is actual, to discover this would be the greatest possible joy.

(What is a self referential thought) I gotta imagine that’s helpful. ?? @sara373 No, greater suffering definitely does not make a you ‘higher’. Life isn’t grueling, life is undefinable. The suffering is in the knowing life is grueling, or in the inherent response to that thought / perspective. The ‘being the knower’ that ‘life is suffering’, the one separate from ‘life’ who knows this is ‘true’. Self Inquiry… exactly who or what is this one who knows suffering?
  6. If you’re not focused on thoughts… how does it seem the feeling is do to thoughts…? I’d write bout how you feel each day, and or talk with someone about how you feel. Lot of expression to do so the mind can more naturally rest.

  8. Self-actualization as in consciousness, is undefinable and incommunicable. ‘It’ is consciousness doesn’t help much, as there is only consciousness. Like a thought about a drink of water isn’t a drink of water. Self actualization as in psychology is a term coined by Maslow https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html. It’s a model. A way of explaining. For a clear mind. The want is ample in & of itself, and change is easier without adding thoughts about consciousness, etc, etc. Not meant sarcastically, but the only answer is your own (so to speak) self realization.

He’s saying the same thing @James123 said, the same thing the Buddha said, and the same thing Jesus said, or were attributed as having said. The inferior egoic bs however, is the reframing of what he shared, as if said visions are ‘inferior egoic bs’.

  13. What’ ‘everything’? Rhetorical, doesn’t matter. The non-repetition of thoughts which veil matters, as in, is relevant. The freeing of the mind. Doesn’t matter really. The suggestion wasn’t to think & understand, but to imagine & feel. Worthwhile inquiry imo. “My thoughts are thinking” is one thought. Maybe something else to notice that might ‘click’ / be helpful… The dogmatic love to take pokes at the seekers, and the seekers love to take pokes at the dogmatic, while both are believing it’s somewhere else, another time, this other thing, this other no thing, someone else.
  14. Non-conceptual. Literally Ineffable. Unthinkable. Unbelievable. It’s a ‘look what’s goin on’, not an analogy. There’s not I and an it. You’re being. Thoughts about yourself are not about yourself, but seem to be about yourself. Yourself is the awareness of the thoughts.
  15. Thanks. ? That ‘you’ that would have to be more grounded… ? that’s a self ref thought. You’re the ground. The awareness of the thought… about a you. Try directing attention outwardly… as if you’re unthinkable, creating what’s literally ‘in front of you’. ??
  16. Cause you’re dispelling your own illusions. self inquiry. You’re moving the nonsense needle a bit there. If we become conscious of the duality between self and other? Imagine just one household with parents that are innocently caught up in their own shenanigans. Not much mindfulness of their kids spiritual well being, creativity, or direction in life. Little to no awareness they are creating their reality. Imagine the things the kids might go to as attempts to ‘fill that hole’. Then google “Leo Gura’s Life Purpose Course”, and imagine those kids experiencing the arising of their own creative visions for themselves and their lives. Literally feel the connectivity & inspiration on their behalf as you imagine this. Imagine them as they discover a real sense of worth, and create a life worthwhile to them. They fit in. They have a place here. Their talents & passions are valued, and the culmination of it is needed here. They feel connection, they contribute to betterment, they are part of the bigger whole, they feel the truth in reciprocity, they are conscious creators. This easily leads to a better, happier life. That leads to a better, happier world, and that is on the cusp of the realization happiness is reality. This is your creation already.
  17. @preventingdiabetes Well you gotta find out. ? Maybe work your way up to 30 - 60 minutes. Careful with mindsets of expecting it to produce anything. It’s all letting go. In that sense you end up ‘there’ more than ‘get there’ by doing anything (like meditation). It’s imo the best thing anyone can do for themself, their day, their life.
  18. There is the becoming better with woman way, and I do not mean to sound as if I’m knocking it at all. Learn, experience, repeat. Affirmations are powerful, not knocking those either. What I’m saying is before there was the notion to be better with woman, there is a prior or underlying notion that being yourself isn’t already enough. That carries over to all categories until it is ultimately addressed via inspection and expression. Who you are under the layers so to speak, is pure attraction. The affirmation “I’m confident with woman” is great, no issue with it. Also, it can be questioned, ‘maybe I’m not actually lacking any confidence’, maybe there’s a thought here and there, a belief or two, which are more fundamental, more underlying, which lead to seeking out an affirmation. I could find out I’m wrong about this in five minutes, but it sure seems to me if there is one thing every woman, every human wants more than anything else, above all , wether they are even aware of it or not, it’s the simplicity of just being themself, without all the trying, taking action, affirming, etc. Is that simple, or is that bold? I don’t know. A decent example that comes to mind… I really love flowers, I look at how beautiful they are a lot, and I look at how beautiful all woman are a lot, and sometimes it’s puzzling how this simplicity is missed. The flowers don’t need anything, they are naturally growing, naturally being, naturally beautiful. Every person is exactly the same. The other day while passing a flower shop, it hit me, we literally call them flow-ers. They’re so effortlessly beautiful and perfect at flowering. People are the same in my eyes. I also work in sales, and I can see the number-crunching-gaming interpretation could be applied too. Not knockin that either. I also work in awakening, and I can see how just being oneself as is works too. It is the most attractive / attracting / attraction ‘thing’. It is what everyone wants (arguably, maybe) for themself so to speak. Sometimes it seems to me there is a worldwide contagion of self referential thinking, which flowers aren’t doing, and most people are. Thoughts about ourselves that don’t even feel good, but the feeling gets interpreted as ‘because that’s true about me’, when the feeling is ‘saying’ that ain’t true about you, that’s why it feels that way. In my best estimation, the one ‘get’s that down’, who lets any such thoughts go, and understands and abides in feeling, for that one the world is their oyster. Woman and men want that, and it lies within them, just prior to self referential thoughts. So it seems arguably important if you will, recognizing thoughts of you are not actually true, or even about you. Let alone three of you. I don’t know if that’s an example really, but more on where I’m comin from. Also… another perspective…. if I ‘be that guy’, I attract the girls that are attracted to ‘that guy’, but I’m me, and I’m always gonna just be me, and if I just be me, I attract the girl who is attracted to, me, and that seems to be a recipe for long term happiness and an ever deepening unifying experience on all ‘levels’.
