Psychedelics give me temporary after-effects of confusion The confusion is the hindsight thinking... that there is a you (a thought) which took a psychedelic (belief/not you). It’s not ‘wrong’, just confusion. -

@Godishere Apostrophes are used to more clearly denote a subject and object relationship, of possession. -
Tej could not be more authentically spot on. As God, when I am doing my sessions so to speak, sometimes it is with God, again so to speak, a self realized person, and we are just ironing out some kinks, some old thought patterns or beliefs. Then it is fine. Most often, so to speak, I am talking with a yet to be self realized person. In this case it is extremely misleading and introduces confusion unnecessarily. Are you God? Yes, of course you are. Can it be said in truth? Of course not. There is no I which is God. Nor is there someone else there which it is said aloud to. It’s really contingent on whether God is still believing in and thus projecting upon separate selves. As unconditional love, God never diminishes or demoralizes. God is knowing only of gods perfection alone, and even that is saying far too much.

What you are reading from the book is spot on. What you are misunderstanding is that there is literally no guilt. The world literally is the playground. It does not seem like it if you blame the world. Such as the world could make you mad, the world could make you sad, or the world could make you corrupt. If you are experiencing this, recognize this is reactionary projection, and when you experience the reaction focus on breathing from your stomach, and experience the reaction without reacting in terms of behavior, actions, and words. Only if then is it clear the reactionary projection was the averting of feeling. Not sure where you could be coming from on the course in miracles being different from what pretty much every spiritual teacher is saying. That’s very odd. A course in miracles is a fundamental staple of spirituality and non-dual theory, as much as and synonymous with the immutable laws. As to why you are worried about nothingness, and some kind of loss, like fun etc., it is because you are seeing material which is opening your eyes to the truth, so misunderstandings and beliefs you’ve been holding are coming up and out, and being projected onto the very material which is helping you. Your idea of nothingness is not the actuality of nothingness. It’s an idea. Nothing this is far better and greater than any thing. Nothing / not-a-thing is appearing as all “things”. Yes, it makes perfect sense. It is almost word for word what just about every spiritual teacher is saying. Specifically, if you have not heard of or listened to Rupert Spira, definitely check him out on YouTube. His teaching is basically synonymous with course in miracles. If memory serves, that book talks about doing one thing at a time, presence, mindfulness. Doing one page, or teaching, in one day. Try to abide in that rather than thinking ahead. Get your meta bang for your buck. -

There is not typical and non-typical solipsism, there is just solipsism. Try to disprove Mormonism. You will realize quickly ism denotes belief, conjecture, dogma, a way of thinking. That you cannot come up with the most beautiful poetry that has ever manifested is a limiting belief. In honesty, you don’t know what’s gonna happen five minutes from now. Seeing is not happening in your perspective. Perception is perception. Thought is thought. Notice you cannot think perception, nor can you perceive thoughts. Awareness is directly aware of thoughts, and directly aware of perception. Then notice there is no duality or separation between awareness and thought or perception. -
@evolving55555 Sadhguru is spot on. It just depends if you’re coming from the perspective of separate selves or not.

@machiavelli Ya, minus the dualities implied. Even made a video about it. -

@iboughtleosbooklist ?? Waking up is not terrifying, it happens literally every single day. It just isn’t noticed, because wakefulness is appearing as, and veiling itself as, the activity of thinking. If you don’t like how an idea feels, don’t hold it. You wouldn’t hold a hot coal in your hand, because you would listen to the pain. Meditation is the letting go of the hot coals, listening to the suffering. -

Cause you’re in the matrix, the thought story of the I moving through time, which has never been good with x. If you’re looking for a mate to join in the confusion, look elsewhere. You are what understanding is. Under… standing. Likewise, the appearance of the body is you. You are free. So free, you can focus on the thought it is ‘other’, and put up with (suppress) that discord. You can also listen to the guidance intrinsic within. Understanding & God is two. Nonduality is the pointing, the way, of not two. Understanding is readily available, but the belief of the I in time has a secondary belief that understanding is in a future, or is “this thing” which “someone has”. Don’t be such a readily & easily convinced fool, it is not in your nature & does not resound. Only the practice. Not beliefs and secondary beliefs justifying, cancelling out, etc, etc. Only the practice will do. -
You already understand, but you pedestal others. You’re not willing to ‘sell your soul’. Good for you. That’s long term wisdom. Integrity. Conscious creating. You’re actually addressing beliefs about yourself which don’t resonate, vs projection. The ‘two’ are already one for you… but you’re trying to believe this is not the case, and creating your own confusion. That is, you are trying to con yourself that there is fusion, two, which you somehow need to ‘fuse’ into one. Stick with your true nature. Keep abiding in good conscience. If it’s been a minute, watch The Matrix, specifically the lesson of the scene about “residual self image”. Understand what’s said there if there is any apparent lack of clarity. Don’t focus on thinking which feels off, and then double-layer with ‘understanding’, justification, rationalization, etc… just don’t focus on the thinking which feels off, conscience wise, in the first place. Which it seems is what you were already doing. There is a long standing story about this called ‘the three little pigs’. Give it a google.

It’s the belief in lack of meaning, and therefore the belief you need to first find meaning. Being a creator is already actual, not a mission statement, not something which could ever be possible - in a “future”. Shift focus mindfully to what you are creating right now… a story which isn’t resonating. A story about a you in a future, creating. Sacrifice is a self referential story of dwelling and loathing. It feels off and is uninspiring because the truth is inspiring. You are inspiring. The story claims otherwise, creating a standstill. You contributing to the world is a self referential dualistic story, which is veiling you actually doing what you want, desire and are inspired to do. There is no ‘you’ & ‘a world’, so that isn’t going to resound in truth. Notice, you pedestal others. You believe there are others who are ‘making an impact on the world’. That’s only the ego, as the separate one, claiming the impact, ‘the doer’. That doesn’t need to be resolved, only no longer believed / focused on. Focus on what you actually want to do, not for anyone else or ‘a world’. When you focus on & feel a desire your world is already underway becoming it. When you start thinkin about ‘the world’, you introduce self doubt - but it’s the discord of the belief that there is a “you” and “a world”. Self referential thinking, thinking about a you ‘becoming’, a ‘you’ entering the flow, is creativity, actual you, zapper. Think about what you want and do it. Don’t take pause to think about “yourself”. Daily morning meditation is the counterintuitive way. Less, not more. (Thinking). Without the thought story of a separate self in time, there can be no story about the separate self which fails, is depressed or lazy. Those thoughts don’t feel good because not a word of it is true about you. Can’t resolve it by focusing on the thoughts. Let the thoughts go and feel the feeling. Good feeling isn’t in a future or an accomplishment. That’s the cosmic joke. Good feeling is presence, no thing, it’s all that is real. Again, that’s a story about a you. “The struggler”. That story is lame, and feels lame. Tell a different one. One that you like. That story about your values, your creativity… is the hijacking, the thought-actitivty-veiling, of actual you, beyond competent, boundless creativity, unthinkably whole, singularity, complete and void of need, divine, the source that is well being, the love that is the light. The true nature aligns with the true nature. The “I’ll have to figure it out” is in error, a misnomer, unwarranted, unneeded, unnecessary rumination. That’s a belief to begin letting go of so it can untangle. That is the resistance. “Hard for me”. In truth nothing is actually easy or hard for you. That you is a self seating, self limiting, creativity busting story. Read up on fragmentation, split consciousness. You’re not in a thought story, you’re presence. Be the hero of your life, not another martyr of the world. Meditate every morning. Get clearer on what is actually food, and what is claimed by the ambition & greed of society as food, and choose to eat actual food.

Which is it, all love or you & others? This sounds like all the I’s conditions, seeking outside validation to bypass within, to skip the practice, vs, well practiced, and the actual substance within. Love is the idea of love, but the idea of love is not love. Perhaps you heard a story or two about how awakening of the true nature = not doing this or that, and are a true clown lost in the conjecture of fools. -
Nahm replied to assx95's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
When sitting in silence, sit in silence. No “but”, no thought activity, no analyzing, no seeking an experience of validation. Let all that go. You are like an ocean sorting through rain drops looking for an ocean. Let the rain drops (thoughts) go and there is only the ocean which was appearing as rain, veiling itself with itself, with being it’s own activity of rain. When there is no longer an I who sits in silence, there is actual silence. The mind can’t find the substance of itself in a future. -
@Thought Art So loaded. There was a subtle change of context. I’m suggesting the ‘drowning in it’ is only ‘the separate self’, which is only ‘in’ thought. That there isn’t ‘the thinker of thoughts’, or the ‘one who must gain mastery’. How no one bats an eye at God being the ‘ground’ beneath every single footstep in dumbfounding perfection without fail… yet simultaneously claiming a role of ‘the thinker’. Likewise, that there could be ‘complexity beyond nonduality’. It does indeed seem like “I’m in constant thought”, and “complexity” is something more than just another thought, but the subtle realization these are not actually direct experience, nor possible, stands to be liberating. Learn away, enjoy the heck out of the experience for sure. The ‘learner’, separate self thoughts, the ‘identity’, doesn’t add anything to the experience or enjoyment, ‘it’ takes away from, complicates, etc. Seems to, anyways. And really, the sooner this is brought to attention, the sooner the practice is undertaken, the sooner the end of suffering is. Arguably, that one recognition, the ‘why’ of the practice, is the most significant realization which could be ‘had’.

It’s sneaky in the sense it’s still the beliving there are people, and that before you did experience people’s suffering and now it’s still a thing but you aren’t experiencing it. And then there’s that ‘you’ ‘factor’. -
It’s not surprising, it’s nonsensical. Compare direct experience & the abstractions. Those are related. Godspeed on outthinkin God.
-
@SQAAD Deflection & defensiveness is contraction. For the relief, google it. Understand what you are directly experiencing. If you don’t recognize conjecture you remain enslaved to it. Arguably worse (feeling wise), you are participating in the contagion of it. Likewise with this. The belief is you’re experiencing the videos, and thus it seems there is a you which could or couldn’t escape the experience. The direct experience is of the thoughts of the videos, revealing you are prior to whatever you are focusing on. The narrative of un-empowerment falls away naturally with realizing you’re in control of what you put in front of you, what you are watching, so to speak.

@Thought Art “They”…? “Those”…? “Them”…? “Their minds”…?
-
You = yourself (not two). You’re the story teller, not the character the thought story is about. Thinking & talking about a myself is unseen aversion to feeling. What’s desired is feeling better, “where” it’s found is of course, feeling. The retelling of the thought story of a separate self is an alternative to feeling, presence, and having & experiencing everything you actually desire to. It’s often referred to as fragmentation or split consciousness. It’s not some diagnosis or problem or anything, it’s the believing of self referential thoughts, the retelling of the same story. There is the experience of the thought judgement, but there is not the separate self which is believed to be the one being judged. There is the experience of the thought selfishness, but there is not the separate self which it is believed to be projected upon.

@ndm678 Who ya talking about? There is the illusory self of thought, as much as you are a pineapple.

Read on deflection & projection. Be wiling to be aware of that mental reactivity. Illuminate it with direct awareness, rather than trying to apply conceptualization with beliefs etc. Enlightenment is just a word, a pointing to that there is ineffable. Literally nothing to think about there. There’s no suggestion here of more thinking, nor of adopting more beliefs, nor of a you being in levels or states, nor of an ‘I thought stopping’. To ‘these ears’, this all sounds like aversion from feeling, emotion, inspection, the practice, and actually creating the life you actually desire. -
@TheLoneSage Awesome. ?

With foundation. Proper sleep, diet, and daily morning meditation. If inquisitive thoughts continue to arise, google, research answers, look into things. As emotions arise, express in a journal, and utilize the emotional scale to understand how you’re feeling & why. Focus on which emotion you’re experiencing, vs self referential thoughts. (Those thoughts about yourself which aren’t true or accurate). Play the effortless ‘game’ of choosing a better feeling thought, all day… cause it feels good, and you are perfectly deserving of good feeling. @4201 ? -
@SQAAD What is conjecture?
