  1. Completely normal stage on the path. Check out the book "The end of your world" by Adyashanti. He talks about this stage a lot in that book.
  2. I would say try for a longer period and discover for yourself the difference. I personally notice a difference between 10 and 20 minutes.
  3. Same. I wanted to post a topic but couldn't!
  4. Normal. This unconscious material is arising allowing you the opportunity to purify it. Stay as the witness. Stay mindful.
  5. Anyone heard of this girl? She's 24 years old now but started painting astonishing works of art when she was just 4 years old. She said she was first inspired from a spiritual experience where she had a vision of God and heaven. Her family was indifferent to spirituality or religion, but she suddenly she started experiencing vivid impressions about invisible realms and a great desire to express them through her art.
  6. If you're enlightened you should know what to do.
  7. All those things you complained about in the monastery, consider them as a spiritual trial ; they are there to test your ability to be non judgemental and remain equanimous. As for the man, I'm glad he came to the monastery because I believe that's the right place for him. It's true that there is a lot of suffering in life and some people live in circumstances that make living difficult. But fortunately there is a lot we can do as humans to mitigate our suffering in life and ultimately, become liberated from our egoic identity.
  8. You don't become immortal. You are already and have always been immortal.
  9. I posted my first break through experience a few days ago:
  10. I would agree except that it's not an understanding. There is nothing to be understood. The only relevent revelation is that you are God, and this isn't something that can be understood, though it can be experienced.
  11. Had my first break through today which was on the unpleasant side of the experience spectrum. I went to a cosmic "funhouse" with this one malicious jester being spinning me around in these interdimentional rooms. This jester being could clone itself into different beings like itself. At first I thought this environment looked pretty neat but after not too long, I realized that it was real and I felt I wanted out. Time in this place was extremely weird. I forgot all about my normal ordinary reality. At some point I had remembered I took a drug but I wasn't sure if I was ever coming back because there wasn't any passage of time in this place. And so I didn't think time could elapse for the drug to metabolize. There were also auditory hallucinations accompanied with the visuals which made it seem even more real. The most shocking part was coming back. When I started to recognize my surroundings, I laughed in my head at how I forgotten my life here in this reality and how crazy it was to be back again. There's no denying that whatever that experience was, it was as real as ordinary sober reality is now. To those who have taken DMT, I'm curious to know what do you make of these experiences?
  12. Yes. You will see that Love is not just a human emotion or human quality -- it is a universal quality, a metaphysical aspect of Reality.
  13. How to approach those situations is to stop creating those situations.
  14. It's true you are God. Why you think, you become. That is how you create reality as God. If you believe you are dumb, then you become dumb If you believe you have problems, then you start having problems.
  15. Recognize that it's all just the interdependent universe spinning and no person has any inherent independent "self".
  16. No, loneliness implies "other". There are no others, just the One. "So you stand alone but are never, never lonely because everywhere you look, all you see is That, and you are That" ~Adyashanti
  17. You had amazing insights into your life and amazing insights take time to integrate in your sober reality. Don't get caught up in the novelty of it.
  18. Spasms used to happen quite frequently when I would sit in meditation. They signify stored emotional blocks being worked out.
  19. A bad trip should ultimately teach you something about what you're still holding on to. That you must still be holding onto something that pertains to "self" in order for you to interpret it as bad.
  20. What are some worthwhile things to try for non-solo psychedelic trips? I have heard that some people have found ways to acquire temporary telepathy. I am wondering how to tap into that.
  21. You shouldn't trust your mind. It's good you're aware of it's deceptiveness. Why does it mislead you? Like it was said already: Survival. The mind is wired to maintain a sense of separate self.
