  1. Karma is being created all the time by humans, even enlightened beings create karma because actions are being done all the time. Liberation means the freedom from the effects of karma.
  2. There is no control for the ego but we must pretend like we do. Else it's easy to fall to apathy and cop out out of life and make the excuse there is no control.
  3. To quote Leo: "Enlightenment is not an experience. Enlightenment is the recontextualization of "experience" into Being/Absolute Truth."
  4. "If you want to change the world, start with yourself" -Ghandi
  5. Do you understand it's a horrible idea to take MDMA again the day after, or even a week or two after? And you don't weigh your doses? These substances are not toys.
  6. I would say yes. But their not attached to how they look.
  7. "Leave greatness to others. Become so small that no one can see you. This conviction results from growing devotion to the supreme reality." ~Nisargadatta Maharaj
  8. I feel the same. My life seems like a blur before I started walking up. Relating to people who are not introspective is challenging even if do remember what your past state of consciousness was like.
  9. Maybe you're going through the dark night? See the stages of insight. Stage 6 is Fear.
  10. @Pouya Right. So the real question you probably mean to ask is if Consciousness continue creating worlds and an imaginary self after the death of an imaginary self that has realized itself to be imaginary. That's a good question. I can speculate on it but I don't really know. And I don't think anyone really knows. Though one can only hope that there would be no more creating worlds and imaginary selves after death.
  11. Incarnation traditionally means "born into the body", so you are not even incarnated, let alone reincarnated.
  12. I would say that the path of devotion, (bhakti) is a valid spiritual path for some people that leads to enlightenment.
  13. It's just Sahdguru's perspective. That doesn't make it incontrovertably true.
  14. Self and all those other words are just ways of pointing to what really can't be spoken of.
  15. At an ultimate level, no, you cannot make a choices. Because there is no individual you.
  16. @zeroISinfinity If you think it is, then it is.
  17. I can see how those things can give insight into what death is and alleviate the fear of death, but I don't see how they can lead one to know what happens after death. Those things are all carried out while the body is still alive.
  18. The body is just an appearance in the mind, so it is safe to say that that form dissipates upon death. No one knows what happens beyond that. Their looking for relief from their suffering and they don't see any other possibilities. For almost all people, the cause of their psychological suffering is ignorance. Ignorance about reality. Yes God is the only being there is so it must take all responsibility.
  19. Why does Leo and people here believe that subjective experience gives insight into reality and "Truth". All we can say for sure about experience is that it is experience. So why do people believe that we can extrapolate from an experience and make claims about what is ontologically true about reality?
  20. If God is omnipotent and omniscient, why is the reality we inhabit filled with suffering? I know the answer is because of ignorance (or some would say the illusion of ignorance), but why is there illusion at all?
  21. This phenomenon is not uncommon in meditation. It has a name: Kriyas. Here is a video where Shinzen young does a good job explaining it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e9AHh9MvgyQ It's the manifestation of unconscious sankaras (habit patterns of the body-mind). When the body-mind relaxes enough, the sankaras manifest as spontaneous body movements. You basically just have to remain mindful watching it and it will lessen over time. It's a good sign.
  22. Depending on the potency of your awakening, it can be either very easy or not at all easy to fall back asleep.
