Have you tried The Wim Hof method? I noticed some psychedelic-like effects doing that although its basically backwards to this. You oxygenate the body then hold breath for few to several minutes without any air in the lungs. Its quite fun and also great to use before meditation to get you in a more deep state quicker.

Yogurt is really healthy but it doesn't have to be dairy. There is always coconut yogurt or other yogurts made from plants or other nuts/seeds. The power of Probiotics can also be found in other fermented foods and fermented vegetables primarily.
