  1. “Enlightenment is growing all the time. It is not something that happens once and is then complete.” - Thich Nhat Hanh
  2. Remember: meditation is just like training a dog. So, I think the title of this topic should’ve been: “Incorrect meditation can get you into trouble.” Btw, I think you should stop your practice.
  3. Yes, it’s one of my personal favorites.
  4. This is called spiritual arrogance, my friend. I think that instead of trying to have a relationship, you should work on unfreezing your heart space (aka feelings). Psychedelics can help with that, especially ayahuasca.
  5. Lol, so what? Being enlightened doesn't mean you're always right. To me, free will vs no free will is a paradox. We are in control of what we're doing, and at the same time we are not in control at all.
  6. Stop your practice. Yoga is one of those things that is very easy to do wrong, especially when you are learning by yourself. If you still want to practice it, I recommend you take classes with a good teacher. Not easy to find though. But in any case, make sure to take a break. No yoga is better than wrong yoga.
  7. Interesting topic and responses. Imo, I think you should explore that realm so you take this weight off your shoulders. And I think you won’t even need many casual sex experiences to realize that it’s not that amazing... It’s just like eating an ice cream. It’s certainly yummy as you’re eating it, but that’s about it. First and foremost, I use sex as a way to strenghten my bond with the girl. Sure, I do like the sensual pleasure, but it’s shallow stuff. But me just sayig this is not enough; it’s important to directly experience this insight. So...: Good luck on your adventures! Girls love guys your age btw.
  8. I dont remember exactly how it was. I was lying down, and it felt like I had a very strong and literally bright vision. This is also called “insight”. An a-ha moment. Like, “OMG! This is it!” The retreat itself was too intense for me, and I did cause trouble there. But after knowing my purpose, I was not caring about anything anymore. All the trouble that I caused was put in perspective, after all, I now knew my life fucking purpose. And I don’t feel like sharing what it is, sorry.
  9. I simply set the intention before the trip. While I was on the psychedelic, I wasn't obsessively trying to find out the purpose, btw. At some point, as I was enjoying the trip, BOOM! The LP came to me with clear and articulate language. I want to stress this again: I did not seek it obsessively. I simply set the intention. And I was blessed to receive this "download" from the Universe.
  10. Nothing wrong with wanting the cake. Just bear in mind that it alone won't fulfill you. Haha, I feel ya. Lots of people here talking about ~ the now ~, enlightenment, and all that nonsense. They look like Christians who think they'll get to heaven, but that day never comes... I bet! There's nothing wrong with wanting success. In fact, I would say not wanting success is unhealthy. I agree. I think most people here are actually on denial about that. They use spirituality to justify their own lack of success. My pleasure
  11. It’s no use cutting an addiction, if you haven’t dealt with its underlying causes. Have you seen the episode “Awareness Alone Is Curative”?
  12. Enlightened people DO NOT do that. Pseudo-enlightened people are the ones who do that.
  13. Not even the guy who posted all those obnoxious emojis agree with you lol Dude, are you okay? Seriously, how's your life going? Are you going through emotional turmoil or something? I say this, because during one of the most painful moments of my life, one of my defense mechanisms was to laugh at everything nonsensically. Why are you doing all of this? Are you trying to "wake the OP" up? Are you trying to do a "enlightened laughter"? I myself posted some things here on the forum in the past that I cringe every time I think about them. Be careful that the same thing does not happen to you also... Btw - Here's from Wikipedia: ?, officially referred to as the Face with Tears of Joy emoji—and also known as the laughing emoji, laughing crying emoji, or the crying laughing emoji—is an emoji featuring a jovial face laughing, while also crying out tears. It can also be used for joking and teasing. "HAHAHAHA" is more like hysteria imo.
  14. That's a good insight you just had. I hope you find a way to help people the way you want ?
  15. Omg, stop beating yourself up! Just relax, man... This video might help you:
  16. My guess is, all your "orange achievements" were not grounded in a higher purpose. If you do find one that has a deep personal value, I think you'll find fulfillment. The cool thing about life being inherently meaningless is that it is also, paradoxically, infinitely meaningful. That is, you get to choose its meaning/purpose. Btw - Not only all this laughter not helping him, but it's also disrespectful imo.
  17. This is a very common spiritual bypass. Spirituality does not mean you should become a jelly-fish; a total passive person who thinks to himself, "Oh... everything's perfect and inevitable." So the person ends up not doing anything to change their reality. This becomes a toxic comfort zone. In terms of spiral dynamics, this is a case of not mastering orange. In the video below, Jack Kornfield, who is my favorite meditation teacher, talks about the subtle difference between equanimity and indifference. I have pre-selected the juicy part of the interview. The video will automatically start at 6:05 minutes: I think you're actually lacking in (healthy) masculine energy, which is the energy of creation. Do you have a life purpose?
  18. You’re being way too broad in your self-description. Can you give specific examples on why you think you’re “lazy and egotistical“?
  19. Cool! I’m glad you’re on board =]
  20. I think your purpose should be more specific.
