  1. ? I also think it’s a good idea to learn an instrument, and play with other people. You can have many “spiritual” experiences doing that.

  3. Guilting youself sure won’t help. Beating yourself up only adds to the problem... Have you watched the self-acceptance video?
  4. Disgusting? It ain’t milk with chocolate. It’s a sacred drink. Have some respect... Fear plays its role. Don’t try to get rid of it. Just careful not to wear a spiritual mask of “everything’s ok”... Good. I’d recommend you take it after a few months so you can fully integrate the experience you had.
  5. Heal your inner wounds first, and you will automatically create peace in the world, just by your example. @ajasatya
  6. Aren’t babies curious? That’s a good question to ask yourself. It’s always good to get a little bit out of your comfort and experiment new things. It’s important not to force youself too much though...
  7. Is lack of vitality a sign of awakening? That’s a heavily masculine approach. There are more gentle ways of waking up...
  8. Be very cautious with breathing techniques. You can release too much emotion too fast (more than you can handle).
  9. Very good topic. You seem to have real self-awareness. I used to be dependent on meditation. I thought if I didn't meditate, something bad would happen. It became a self-fulling prophecy. Meditation had become an addiction. Then, after I took ayahuasca, I could clearly see how this was nonsense. And one day I decided to let meditation go. I haven't sat to meditate for more than a year, and I feel much better now than I used to. I realized that I do better with a more active type of meditation (such as Tai Chi). I suggest you find a group where you can learn from a good teacher. @ajasatya Any thoughts you can share with us about this topic?
  10. Do you do any type of practice? (yoga, meditation, psychedelics, etc?) +1
  11. I assume you haven't had any experience with depression. I think this advice will not help anyone who suffer from it. Have you ever read any book on this topic?
  12. You're exhibiting classical signs of depression.
  13. The root of depression is in the brain chemistry.
  14. Frowning too much. Not laughing. Overthinking. Panicking. Just remember: taking life too seriously is bad, but taking life too playful is also bad. If you try too hard to be "funny", stress-free etc., it's inauthentic and does not work. There are situations that are stressful and you can't fake your way into being relaxed about it. My strategy for stress-relief is doing something that naturally gives me pleasure. For example, hanging out with a close friend, going to a soccer match, going to the movies, etc. Psychedelics can also help with that, btw. I think the key point is finding something that takes me out of your mind and makes me forget about my problems for a while. As Matt Kahn puts it, it's like a mini-vacation from worrying.
  15. I exhibited very similar behavior when I was into psychedelics. I would get euphoric and I thought I had found enlightenment. Never was I so deluded...
  16. @Hansu If you’re repeating the affirmations robotically, then it’s not good. I think it’s better to repeat an affirmation three times mindfully than three hundred times mindlessly.
  17. Interesting story. I would never do ibogaine by myself. If you can’t go to a professional clinic, I think it’s best to put it off, for safety reasons. My friend who did it said that low dosages are only effective for people who already did the full dosage (aka “reset”). One Youtube channel I really like about drug addiction is CgKid. Check him out. I hope you can get sober. You’ve gone through so much shit... You deserve to be happy!
  18. Your projection of these things are your imagination. Don’t get into this ego-trip of thinking that the whole universe is just your imagination... sorry, pal, but you’re not God
  19. Interesting topic. Yes, his content can be harmful especially to unstable individuals. For example, a suicidal person might do something really bad if he hears Leo say that “death is amazing” (or something of that sort). I understand where Leo is coming from, but people can misinterpret things very easily. Some things he say I think it’s just nonsense, but if I didn’t filter what he says, I could accept those things blindly. And I agree with you that people are building a whole belief system around nonduality. It’s as if nondualism is becoming a religion...
  20. Don’t cling to mystical experiences. “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water." (Zen quote) Lol
