@Neo chill out and let the ideas go their way.. I felt the exact same way probably most of last year.. Enlightenment is no easy for people to grasp and even reconcile with current beliefs and structures. Just keep moving abd you will see how everything goes to the right place.. Just start the enlightenment work.. There is no need for you to be in the forum to do that.. Personally i do 30 minutes of meditation and then work on my financial and social life (i will increase the sessions in the futute). Just don't panic and take your time just so your ideas takes their place.. It is a natural proccess, this enlightenment thing is almost from another dimension kind of thing ? -

What's up guys!? I thought it is a good idea to write our Gameplan for Life just to keep us accountable and share ideas, stories and opinions. I will go with mine first: I'm 21 now, I'll finish college in 2 years (23). Right now I'm studying a lot about business, success and entrepreneurship. I'm meditating 30 minutes a day (1 month of Do Nothing, one of Mindfulness and one of self inquiry). I'm reading a book a week and 2 audiobooks a month. I want to be an entrepreneur and create a high consciousness business that helps people and society evolve and develop (I believe that the sharing economy is getting bigger). My ultimate goal is self mastery and learning. My plan is divided in 5 main areas: - Wealth: Create a business/businesses that contributes to the world in a meaningful way (some kind of platform probably) and involving technology. I will surely fail a couple times but if everything goes well i will be financially independent by 30 aprox. Meanwhile, I will create a personal brand, creating a youtube channel and twitter (it is not my main business, it is just because I love thinking about stuff and sharing it). After that start focusing on another aspects but still working 4 hours a day probably. - Health: I'm going to the gym and eating healthy so I dont need to much improvement here. I;m also eating healthier everyday it passes. - Relationships: Go out every night or 5 to 7 nights a week improving my game, meeting gorgeous and super interesting women. i want to reach my 30s with a lot of experience in relationships and choose the right woman for me. - Spirituality: My goal is obviously enlightenment but I know it will require 10000 hours (like Mastery), if a miss it and become enlightened before it will be pretty cool indeed. Now I'm meditating for 30 minutes. I will increase 5 minutes every 2 months so by the end of this year I will be meditating for 1 hour. I want to include 2 one ten day retreat every year and every sunday do a strong meditation sitting for 2 hours and increasing. My goal is 1 hour of meditation and 1 hour of self inquiry. After becoming financially independent (probably 30) and experiencing all the external stimulus (girls, success, etc) I will turn inwards. I will reduce my work hours and start meditating and doing enlightenment work for 4 hours a day minimum while working other 4 and maintaining my life style. Probably I will be enlightened at 35-40 (if I have luck it will be before). After enlightenment I dunno, it will be better than everything that I experienced before. I will see what my True Self wants to do. So, now your turn guys

This is an article from Shinzen Young: After reading this and ponder about this stuff for several weeks and months I came to some "conclusions": We, as human beings are able to think, just like no other animal. We have the power and gift to remember the past and anticipate the future thanks to our minds and thoughts. Even though this is our greatest gift is also our greatest nightmare. We, thanks to culture and probably the nature of the human brain, started to believe that we are our thoughts: that we are this, or that (note that existentially, the belief of "I'm a person" and "I'm a rock" are the same, just constructions of the mind"). So even though we can use our mind to think about past and future we started to believe that thoughts are real (they are structurally real, but the content itself has no value, they are thoughts). We forgot, since we believe that we are they thoughts we produce, that the only real thing is what is happening right now, the ONLY TRUE THING. It seems so logical that we don't exist as we think but it is so difficult to destroy this illusion and belief. I really don't like the "You don't exist" mentality; you exist but not in the way you think you are (it will be probably 100x better). The truth is that YOU ARE and that's it; I don't want you to relax with this statement (since I'm not enlightened and this are conceptualizations of the mind), YOU DONT KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE, EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMS TO. I don't know who am I really, I only know conceptually that I think I'm a body and a mind but I notice that these are thoughts and thoughts are existentially a sound in space that someone is listening. I guess this illusion is pretty difficult to break since there is a subconscious mind and tremendous complex systems that are working to maintain the sense of your current "self" I dont want you to be upset because I'm trying to explain this thing called enlightenment. All your definitions of enlightenment are just conceptualizations of the mind so don't waste time trying to know what it is, it's damaging you. I've been suffering a lot from this, that is why I'm think that when people tell you that you don't exist they are trying to explain the explainable; you obviously exist, who do you think is reading this shit. The point is that you don't exist as you really think but you are something that I can't even grasp on. -

@99th_monkey it's a knowing of not knowing but , at the end, it's my opinion -
Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Juan Cruz Giusto's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@99th_monkey I no shit about enlightenment, that is why I dont make suggestions nor judgments -
Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Juan Cruz Giusto's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@99th_monkey don't think it's meaningless.. Those are concepts of the mind and make people depressed.. Enlightenment is justwho you really are and that's it.. Any description of it is meaningless. So we should stop defining enlightenment and say that is just the truth of who you really are existenxially. -

Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Jan Odvarko's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura i would like to know it since its like knowing that Santa is not real but you are still waiting for him.. It is just that truth is not on my highests values. -
Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Jan Odvarko's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura Do you think that valuing Truth comes when you fulfill basic needs first? Or you are born with the gift of wanting to know Truth? I actually value self mastery and development, How can I reconcile it and actually value It? -
@DanoDMano I have a similar idea but I think it would be dificult to negociate with enlightened guys to do business haha. Is there any book>=?

Thank you for taking the time! I understand that this phenomena it's beyond logic and the only way to explain it is to experience it myself! -

@Leo Gura Does enlightenment make you not wanting to be an influence on mainstrream society or it is because most people who become enlightenemnt are usually not interested in mainstream stuff? -

Cool point of @A way to Actualize Cool point of view! I am really into become the best that I can be in the journey, I'm really into self mastery and development. If Truth it's what is needed to be the greatest version of my self I'm okay with it. I want to experience life fully and if that requires me to be enlightened so be it! -

I'm a business and entrepreneur guy so my objective is to create businesses that really pursue high consciousness goals. Kind of difficult to create since many of the businesses right now aim to our lower self and don't really create true value in the world... Maybe I'm an idealistic but i think is a goal worth pursuing

Hey! I always had in mind the actual paradox of enlightenment and self development. How can you actually be self actualizing if there is no self? Why even try to self develop if we are living in a dream? After enlightenment, which is the point of life? How can you be happy if you know that you are actually living in a lie? I think sometimes the knowing of enlightenment fucked me up a bit. I'm thinking about it constantly and I cannot live life fully knowing that I'm living in a illusion, Why would I actually want to become enlightened? Some questions to think about >D -
Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Juan Cruz Giusto's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That was my objective so I'm in a good path.. For now trying to increase the sessions duration (for now 30 min without missing a day). Sometimes i get pretty anxious because of all this stuff but then i remember a have a few years to create an actualized life.. It is not something you build in months. People should start thinking more long term since thinking short term makes you reactive to the world.. I wonder if after enlightenment this type of thinking is useless (i really love this kind of topics)☺ -

I've been doing meditation for like an year now.. Should i focus on self inquiry a little bit more and let meditation on a side? Which is your current meditation session? -
Juan Cruz Giusto replied to Natura Sonoris's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Do you recommend enlightenment practice (self inquiry) or meditations (do nothing or sensory cycles). I've been doing meditation for like an year now and I dont know if I should change to self inquiry or just add 20 minutes to my practice. How much are you meditating Leo and what type of meditation are you doing right now?- 16 replies
