  1. Ra, Ra, Ra... where did I hear that before? Oh, yeah... Meet the Raelians: Inside the World's Strangest - and Nicest - UFO Sex Clone Religion And so it appears that Ra is not alone: These 10 Bizarre Religions And Cults Worship Aliens And UFOs
  2. The biggest trap in the foundation of science, specially physics: the presumption that consciousness arises from the material world.
  3. Well, make up your mind, Leo - is this thread about enlightenment or isn't it? And as for openmindedness and tolerance, please consider this: Ad hominem
  4. Perception of time is not the same as measurable time. BTW, great comic, @Z7 - there's definite talent there!
  5. Alrighty, then Leo - why post this in the "Meditation, Consciousness, Enlightenment, Spirituality" forum section then? Perhaps it would be better suited in the entertainment section, if there was one.
  6. "Our research group uses what I prefer to call “tuned trance telepathy” to communicate with an extraterrestrial race called Ra. We use the English language because it is known by Ra. In fact, Ra knows more of it than I do. Ra landed on Earth about 11,000 years ago as a sort of extraterrestrial missionary with the objective of helping Earthman with his mental evolution. Failing in this attempt, Ra retreated from the Earth’s surface but continued to monitor activities closely on this planet. For this reason Ra is highly informed about our history, languages, etc." Similar material on this subject, but only suitable to those with an open mind: Xenu "Xenu was, according to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, the dictator of the Galactic Confederacy who 75 million years ago brought billions of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the thetans (immortal spirits) of these aliens adhere to humans, causing spiritual harm."
  7. Do you know why GPS is so accurate, specially the new European GPS system (Galileo )? Very precise and accurate measurement of time.
  8. ppplease... you can't compare these two beings on the "enlightenment scale". Rali is just a kid looking to make a buck (his own words) out of people's inherent search for the truth.
  9. I've read through those pages but these eyes can't see it - @Electro, can you please indulge me and point me to the enlightening info that's gone over my head?
  10. 99% (only)? I guess I'm in good company then. And bear in mind that 87.68% of all quoted statistics are simply made up on the spot.
  11. Nah, sorry, I only see entertainment value here, such as this gem: "Our research group uses what I prefer to call “tuned trance telepathy” to communicate with an extraterrestrial race called Ra. For this reason Ra is highly informed about our history, languages, etc."
  12. The moment "I" knew non-duality was real, the illusion of "I" would cease to exist immediately. This is work in progress for me.
  13. @Leo, this life is finite, so many things to do, so little time... Sometimes we need to be discerning and apply a triage of sorts to information.
  14. The reason that this book does not resonate and is not open for me to consider, is not because I refuse to consider the likelihood of extraterrestials existence. The issue is that the opening sentence of this book basically talks about "us vs them", and to me that is a distraction away from the non-duality path.
  15. Lost me at this point: "This book is an exact transcript from tape recordings of twentysix sessions of an experiment designed to communicate with an extraterrestrial being."
  16. Alfonso, please consider finding an experienced sitter first - don't dive into this greatest of leaps alone for your first time. Hey... there is no great hurry - you have a lot of time ahead in your life!
  17. I'm also going though this phase, and often have similar concerns, Elahe. True, life phases come and go, but this particular epoch in my life appears to be persistent. When it comes to meeting like-minded souls, sometimes it feels like I'm stuck in a tar pit in the middle of the Sahara desert... I guess that's another good reason to hang around this community. There's bound to be that one in 100 resonating soul lurking somewhere in the background here.
  18. In my case, the years of to-fro with long-distance relationships paid off in terms of a richer experience, rather than finally riding into the sunset with my soulmate. I would do it again in a heartbeat, sans the emotional suffering.
  19. Yes, you have our implicit permission to leave the poor guy and follow your true path. No, seriously... be true to yourself.
  20. No, only dog can be man's best friend.
  21. That's one of my definitions of sanity. I've been there (16,000Km apart), twice. It was hell being apart, but I wouldn't change anything about my experience. "When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. ... But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears." - The Prophet
  22. This is so true - the hot but superficial girls I used to fall for in my youth, bear absolutely no resemblance to the goddess-within women I'm attracted to nowadays. That's life - we evolve.
  23. Let him find his way, Mary... as painful as it may feel now. Any emotional pressure on him could backfire and drive him completely away for good. “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” - Alexander Graham Bell
