Russell Brand is the new Messiah.

Excellent video. "We've seen that Flattards can't even wrap their heads around the effects of their idiocy in two dimensions, so it's perhaps not surprising that their failures become even more laughable when dealing with three."

LB, what this "I" thinks about the path to an egoless epiphany is mostly irrelevant. Yet my feeling is that any relentless path which pursues "enlightenment" will only strengthen any spiritual ego, same as a relentless exercise routine would strengthen the body. Seeing non-duality for what is not, appears to be the most direct path to the ultimate truth.

This thread is NOT about any "flat earth" fallacy. It is about a troll (Motus/Aware) who deludes himself into thinking he can open up your mind with fakery. Don't give him your time, ignore his egotistical foolish ramblings.

Rachitic, do this first if you can. Be brave and take a sabbatical from your life, travel light with your backpack, and find yourself through amazing people and adventures you'll meet in your travels.

I've done mushrooms after a 10-day Vipassana retreat, and it was amazingly beneficial. My thought on this: Go for it. -
This place that never fails: Women's lavatory

No takers for this poor soul crying out for help?

It appears this juvenile community is not ready for Master Motus' Flat Earth theories. It's too bad Master Motus appears to be rather sensitive to criticism - not exactly the trait of a wise character. Never mind, no doubt there'll be plenty of better-suited places out there for his sesquipedalian posts.

Any system of governance that concentrates power is ripe for abuse and is potentially dangerous. Since by their nature these centralized-power systems are inherently doomed, alternatives to the current criminal system will come - but only if/when the collective consciousness has suffered enough and is ready for a true change.

Is there a short version of this self-centered rant?

ISS live stream - Earth From Space Live From The ISS : Orbit the Earth with the NASA live feed End of flat Earth argument. However, the main issue with your misinformation has little to do with flat Earth or hoax Moon landings, and more to do with your ulterior motives. Your insistent egoistic preaching/ramblings may appear innocent enough on the surface, but there are a lot of young gullible minds lurking here, easily confused and ready to be led astray by your pseudo-wisdom supported by your cut & paste posts from The Dhammapada site. Spiritual egotism is just the wisdom of a fool.

It appears that you guys have a lot of work ahead for you:
-
Nope. Illusory concepts that only exist in our busy minds.

Darn you guys, you just don't get it - you keep failing these open-mindedness tests! For those of you who are unaware, Motus is our latest resident Zen master. Motus is here on this plane to share his divine purpose with us. He is here to grace us low-consciousness underlings with his presence, to give us a glimpse of his obvious and incredibly high level enlightenment, his infinite wisdom. Master Motus is here to teach us, to force us to question our reality models and look below the surface. Am I the only one here who gets Master Motus' profound paradigm-shifting teachings? Does Master Motus really need to spell it out for you slow learners? It is not the Earth that is flat - it is our eyeballs that are flat. Ever wonder why you can't see the back of your eyeballs? That's 'cause they're flat. Yep, eyeflats. Now go back and read all of Motu's posts, and don't come back until you really get it.

Not possible - get used to it.

@Scholar - seriously dude... No one bothers with encyclopedic intellectual rants at the best of times, never mind when this poor guy is suffering beyond belief.
-
Not long - it's common dialogue for our resident Zen master. Whack! Ouch! Whack! Ouwww...

Funny how this fantastic power doesn't work that well in a still lake, or even a pot of water. But yeah, he can move oceans about with the magnificent power of his mind. Truth is, this guy is delusional - in reality, it's his girlfriend in the background doing all the hydrokinesis. But hey, I do this kind of stuff all the time. As I stand like a martial arts expert and wave my arms around, I can move my thoughts in all directions, at will. Yep, Cognikinesis (tm). Not easy to make a video of my supernatural skills though. Seriously... a perfect example of how the ego loves to take credit for stuff it has nothing to do with. And as for the total failure of social intelligence some of you guys display when critical thinking is suspended...

It appears Robert Shubow (now Shunyamurti) has come a long way since his days as a San Francisco lawyer... -
Nah... I just posted the first random pic that I found. My low quality of consciousness doesn't allow me to come to that realization.

@renegade_bee, my heart goes out to you... There is always hope, even in the worst of life's circumstances. Let's see if we can fix that UTI first. Have you tried using cotton underwear, changed twice a day? If so, how about trying probiotic supplements? Maybe your body's natural microbiota is out of wack from the antibiotics. It is always darkest just before dawn...

Imagine for a moment the following situation, in both actual and metaphorical terms: You follow your "enlightened guru" to the top of a tall mountain, along with all his non-questioning obedient followers who are mostly young minds impatient and eager to become "enlightened". He then takes his followers to the edge of a cliff, and says to them: "In order for you to become enlightened as I am, you need to let go of your ego. Jump." As his followers stand there like lemmings on the precipice, you look down to what seems like a path to a sure physical death. So you put your critical thinking cap into high gear, and after some rational consideration you openly question your guru's advice. Immediately the guru's minions come to his aid, surround you with the usual stuff about not being open-minded, non-compliance, being dismissive of the guru's divine knowledge, low consciousness, lack of experience with the divine, your color stage, blah blah blah. Sheeple are sheeple regardless of their paths, but will you take this last leap of faith under all that peer pressure, or will you follow your own destiny? Right now there is a 17yo kid on the other side of the planet, sitting on 500mg 5-MeO, teetering on the edge of the precipice, and taking advice and pressure from clueless posters who have nothing to lose if his young mind plunges into an abyss he cannot find a way out of. This is the kind of critical thinking (to quote Leo) "you guys" lack here. Critical thinking is an essential part of life, and is absolutely critical in life or death situations. -

And, what if that was just a delusion? A critical thinker does not dismiss knowledge out of hand. -

"Gullibility: a failure of social intelligence in which a person is easily tricked or manipulated into an ill-advised course of action. It is closely related to credulity, which is the tendency to believe unlikely propositions that are unsupported by evidence." To get back to the main topic of this thread, open mindedness without critical thinking is just plain old gullibility. If someone posts in here that they've had a direct and clear mystic message from an old-bearded man sitting up in the clouds, then how many of us would pass the "open mindedness test", and how many of us would dare to be critical? Or, how about this story: The beautiful women who claim ETs got them pregnant Don't be lured off your path. Critical thinking is... well, critical.
