  5. It's beyond me how 75% of you guys can't possibly see the ubiquitous angles. I'm looking at two in front of me right now: one is 90°, the other seems to be about 45°. Am I really the only one seeing this? "If there is an angle and no one is around to measure it, is it really angular?"

Following on the theme of "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" 4 million people died during the terrible Second Congo War (1998–2004), mostly from starvation and disease. They didn't appear before me, so I guess this tragedy was just an image in my mind.
  7. In modern times Philosophy has devolved from the love of wisdom, to the love for argument. We must find a better name for love of wisdom, but no doubt as time passes our ego will corrupt that new label as well.
  8. Spacetime, matter and energy are human concepts, somewhat useful dualistic labels which we humans tend to project on a much deeper and richer reality. As long as we somehow understand that these are projections of our mind, they are fine. Indeed, our labels may not be real, but what these cover up is infinitely more real than we can possibly imagine.

  14. Best illustrated with an example: Imagine that you're in a serious car accident, and two people arrive to help you. Bystander 1 looks at you and says: "he was going too fast - this is the accident he was running late for". <-- Judgement. Bystander 2 sees that you need help, and immediately and without any judgement begins to try and help you. <-- Caring.
  15. "Ego death" is practically impossible for us mere mortals - our beliefs in an ego will "die" naturally after our body's last breath. Beware of following advice from self-proclaimed wannabe gurus who act as if they are ego-less - they are generally stuck in the biggest of ego trips, the so-called Messiah Complex. Just being aware of what you are not, this it is enough to travel lighter through life - no need for the death of something that is not real.
