Yes, rather than approaching divine experiences in a combative way (ie, challenging the ego), Love and Compassion towards our delusions are key to letting go, and thus experiencing God. -
Passion --> hobby --> business. Where passion is involved, there is no "work". Stop when your passion or your body leaves you, whichever happens first.

@Whywolf , Lena was a 6-month old bare-bones pup who strayed onto our beach looking for food, when my other four dogs (also ex-strays) tried to take a piece out of her. Even though she was out-numbered and out-sized, she stood her ground until I arrived to save her. That was 9 years ago. This doggie is smart, curious, loyal, grounded in the moment, super-attentive, empathic beyond belief, and loves the company and attention of all people. She has taught me so much about being a better soul... but her biggest life lesson (detachment) is yet to come.

Perhaps it's the other way around. Intention needs a source and target for it to occur, and so intention cannot exist without its source being conscious. -
That brief smile, when we first meet someone, and the egos haven't yet had time to kick in. And these guys, always put a smile on my face...

I have a long-term vision for a beach-side cafe/restaurant, a melting pot for life's travelers not dissimilar to this forum's, on an inspiring setting with amazing ambience - in short, a great place to come together and celebrate life. Open kitchen with great visuals, flaming pans, enticing cooking smells and sounds, awesome fresh/tasty/healthy food from an epic chef. No restaurant walls to separate us from the beach/sea/sun/moon/stars, ambient music and soft light to suit. Thai-style cushions, hammocks, and low tables that will encourage interaction between all, and share the joys of life. This will be a passionate lifestyle, and if it eventuates and turns out to be a money-loser (likely), so be it. But one thing is for sure: if/when this dream materializes, it would be awesome to have someone with @Darrick's passion as our chef.

It feels like... pure, timeless/placeless Awareness, stripped of all thought. -
Apparently the perfect Ego looks like this:

They've probably got higher priorities elsewhere - like for example, living life. Or maybe Facebook.

Oki @Kazman , perhaps a more suitable metaphor: As Death follows Life, Money follows Passion. Interpret that as you will.
-
Like night follows day, Money follows Passion.

Intuition example #732: That subtle unsettling feeling one gets, just before taking first bite of a sandwich which was spawned by the kitchen from hell.

Welcome to one of life's many crossroads. Pause, take your time to find your direction, but don't linger there for too long. You always have a choice.
