  2. @1liamo78 we are infinite creativity creating and experiencing the human condition and its apparatus (mind, body, sensations, feelings etc) but you've gone a little bit beyond that. love what you are right now. have a wonderful life because this moment right now is a miracle. every instant is made of miracles.
  3. if that's how you feel, how can you possibly be wrong? the question is... is that how you want to feel about your life?
  4. no. it is real. full realization is doable. it's just too rare. if you're not willing to throw your entire life away for Truth's sake, then it's not for you. go play video games, seek endless job promotions or something like that instead.
  5. @moon777light self-image is a lie. what you think of yourself is a lie. what others think of you is a lie. what you think of others is a lie. what others think of themselves is a lie.
  6. this is so true. that's why we don't talk about enlightenment/awakening in zen monasteries. in fact, nobody is supposed to talk during retreats! it's all about practice. there's nothing to become enlightened. there's just practice. 24/7 practice.
  7. @Acche be aware that you're using a crutch temporarily and plan your way out. stop depending on such specific circumstances to live in awe for existence. true freedom is depending on very little.
  8. @moon777light do you fantasize a different version of you that would be more acceptable to others? are you scared of what others may think about you? do you believe you're a failure/not good enough in any aspect? are you living a life that you're trying to hide? are you ashamed of yourself?
  9. because your life is too easy. when your parents die and your food doesn't appear magically on the table and nobody else show up to pay the bill for you, then you'll feel engaged. good news: you don't have to wait until your parents die. you can make your life more challenging right now. why? because challenge is healthy. that's what i did. i left my parents' house. check this out.
  10. @PhilGR you're doing great. don't worry about durations... just get used to it. honest tip: avoid seeking external validation. when it comes down to enlightenment and deep insights, there's no ultimate authority except for direct experience.
  11. @zoey101 do you hate a real thing or a thought? what and where exactly is this thing that you hate?
  12. at the most fundamental level, you can't become something else. instead, surrender to what already is. the rare thing here is sincere surrender.
  13. @mohdanas no idea, thought or belief will ever be satisfying enough. how would life feel without attachments?
  14. @Ingit you do it because you have no idea what you are and what a thought is.
  15. since my 16's i've always had this mysterious urge to seek meditation practices whenever hard times would come. then once i got hit by a huge wave of suffering so i went really deep into the zen tradition.
  16. meditation + being aware of thoughts patterns that try to sustain self-image beliefs
  17. @tashawoodfall wisdom and virtues first. looks and wealth second. that's the filter order that i recommend to any person that wants to find an interesting partner. but don't just apply the filter on others. apply it on you first! also, notice that the thinnest part of the filter comes first.
  18. @Charlotte where are you trying to get? sit down give up already...
  19. enlightenment, truly the damnedest thing ever. what is being alive? what is the nature of experiencing? the eternal hide and seek! existence is so playful! i am in awe!!! WHAT A RECKLESS MYSTERY!!!!!
  20. i healed my sexual insecurity / lack of confidence by giving up on trying to hold any kind of self image. give up on trying to build confidence and then it happens. as long as you keep on trying to live to please others, you'll suffer from the same issue.
  21. @Viking every man is man and woman. every woman is woman and man. it's very easy to answer your question. do you imagine yourself having sexual relationships with other men? you don't have to answer me.
  22. @lmfao try shorter deadlines. they're working like a charm for me. i've been a professional procrastinator for 29 years... until last month.
