ajasatya replied to MrDmitriiV's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@MrDmitriiV so what, brother? have you shattered your idealized mental image of Leo? good! gurus are useless. also, this is why i don't like spiral dynamics. it simply segregates more than it unites. we're all brothers and sisters, born from father and mother, with a mysterious ability to experience consciously and about to die anytime. yet, at the same time, we're existence itself feeling how it is like to be human. we either learn how to cooperate properly and see ourselves as one family in the most literal sense, or we shall fail and go through a sort of hard reset again, just like many other civilizations. -
the way i am living right now

Leo has a serious issue that blocks him from experiencing Life the way he wants: he struggles to practice what he learns about humility from his trips. when it's about spiritual seeking, telling people what to do is a huuuuge mistake. the best one can do is simply communicating his own experiences. transcending intellectual pride is no easy task, but learning how to live in touch with the Heart is completely worth it. -

then think differently. what are the greatest problems that you see around you? hunger? desertification? dependence on fossil fuel? inefficient transportation? list what you can perceive and then think how your current skills (and the skills you'd be open to learn) can help. it doesn't have to be something BIG. doing small things is also very important. -

@non_nothing i don't understand how you carry debts living with your parents. are you addicted to consumerism? anyway... what do you want to offer to the world? -
@BobbyLowell i've been in a relationship for 2+ years, married for 7 months. no struggles at all. it's completely straightforward when both involved are serious Truth seekers, devoted to human virtues.

@SelfHelpGuy how is your daily diet and how much do you exercise every week?

@Empty you're the perfect candidate. get ready for high levels of emotional pain and begone already! don't make yourself look like a ridiculous poser after creating this topic. -

@Cortex let it flood your heart. you don't have to understand it. -
ajasatya replied to DocHoliday's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@DocHoliday it is healthier if you face enlightenment as a deep emotional/existential healing. if you're suffering because you can't enjoy simple conversations or because of the lack of fundamental meaning to your life, then you should investigate it more deeply. how can you learn how to appreciate your life even if it doesn't have a prior meaning? keep in mind that meaningless doesn't imply worthless. meaningless just means spontaneous... or even the most valuable possible. contemplate it. -
@BobbyLowell be more patient. if you still hear those voices it's because you still believe them to a certain degree. keep up with the good work. it takes a while, maybe a few years.

sure thing. i did it on my past incarnation. -

enlightenment is the dumbest idea! go spend your time buying stuff and having sex with several partners instead. eventually, if you're dedicated enough, it will certainly satisfy you completely. someday you'll be praised and then your victory will be achieved. what a life worth living! someday it will happen! -

sounds like something hitler would do if he wanted to. -
@Viking you're free to choose a miserable life or a meaningful life. for some reason you tend to pick the miserable one... i don't know why. but sincerely i think this is a dumb choice. there's nothing wrong with building your own meaning. that's how free you are.

you haven't understood it yet. we are EXISTENCE ITSELF. there's no death! did you think accepting death was hard? CAN YOU EMBRACE ETERNITY?

@Widdle Puppy this is what i did: i moved and then i started an entirely new life, immersed in meditative practices and living in the present moment. after a few months i was a completely new person: new habits and new thought patterns.

warning: this is the biggest ego trip! -
this is misleading. even though taste should NOT be the only parameter, it DOES point to the quality of food. taste, smell and colors have been used as parameters by ALL animals for thousands of years. nowadays we, human beings, also know the chemical composition of food... but it should NOT be used as the only parameter either.
-
@David Turcot you have absorbed toxic values from your culture. i bet you have fucked up beliefs about what interesting women value in a man. first of all, drop porn AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

@d0ornokey something that touches your heart as you do it. for me it's reforestation. they grow so fast! it's misteriously satisfying to see the trees so green and big after 1~2 years.

@littleBIG start developing the game asap. you'll feel the need to study what you need to study and it won't be boring. eventually you'll find out that you need to know computational complexity theory, so that your game runs smoothly data structures, so that your game doesn't make the pc run out of memory game design theory, so that your game is actually interesting for more people other than yourself for instance: you want to allow the player to set a destination for his character by using the world map. how can you compute the optimal path from your character's current position to the destination point? how are you going to store the chosen path and its current state on memory without creating a mess among so much stuff that's already loaded up like textures, models, sprites and sounds effects? how can you make the travel interesting in a way that the player doesn't feel boredoom as he watches his character move all by itself?

excellent, you're being completely honest about your feelings. do you have something you love doing by yourself like walking, painting, playing some instrument or singing? have you tried anything like that before? it feels like you gotta learn how to be fine all by yourself. people often learn how to be their own friends after some crushing break up (me included), but maybe you don't need to wait until that happens? i bet your boyfriend would totally support you on your quest to find your enjoyment!

@Katy sorry, but maybe you need some emotional suffering to get you motivated enough to seek your true value. rough questions: what can you offer to him? how do you make his life better? how can you make the planet a better place to live?
