are you struggling to find something that you can define as yourself? don't worry. 99.99999999% of the human beings are on the same boat. also, it can't be done. -

@Sashaj bad news: nobody else can answer those questions for you good news: nobody else can answer those questions for you even if jesus appeared and told you the answers, why would you believe him? there's no ultimate authority other than Direct Experience. -
@stevegan928 hello there i'm sorry for your friend. i recommend that you don't try to figure out why he would do that. instead, i'd use this context to figure out why i am alive and what i want to do with my life. pain is uncomfortable but it can help us break through our limits.

what is the root cause of your anxiety?

@Tistepiste i don't have autism so i don't know better. i'm going to talk a little bit about myself. i went to several psychiatrists/psychologists in the past and all of them were completely helpless. so i decided to take care of my health by myself, like every adult should do. i started to observe the situations that made me suffer and i was able to understand the pattern. i was studying myself through the lens of direct experience, not like we study about other things. i became conscious of the sources of my struggles and then i managed to change my daily habits in a way that the bad patterns wouldn't get fed anymore. sometimes it does require radical change. i remember that i had to suddenly decide to go out for a walk a few times that i noticed that i was starting to live in my head. i had to learn how to get out of my head and inhabit my whole body. i started to practice lots of things. tai chi, yoga, biodance... anything that would require me to be conscious of my body while breathing and moving. this is why i highly recommend those practices for people who haven't learned how to enjoy being as a body yet. the body experience can be extremely liberating.

chimpanzees and dolphins are capable of knowing that it's them on the mirror. they start to behave silly and enjoy watching themselves. chimpanzees also start exploring some part of their bodies and doing interesting stuff like cleaning their teeth. -

@Dan Arnautu you're still drowning in mental masturbation. thinking about spiritual concepts is not there yet. why do you think nobody is allowed to talk on zen retreats? -
What do you mean?? What you want to say? I don't understand i mean good for you because she was honest. now you can move on.

good. there you go.

too much brainwashing

@30secs your intellectual knowledge about nonduality doesn't matter. live it every second instead. remember, it's not about knowing.

@John Iverson be healthy. if you want to share intimacy, find healthy people. but be healthy first.

this is why one should avoid beef at all costs nowadays: too much devastation to plant soy just to feed oxen. if we keep up with our consumption rhythm, the amazon forest will be gone in a few decades

the way that we treat others is a reflection of the way we treat ourselves. i'm not here to tell you that you need to respect others. i'm here to tell you that you can live without the internal agony that i know you go through almost everyday or maybe everyday. it is possible to live in a more gentle way, healthier, building healthy relationships. it can be done. you don't need hide behind your self-image all the time. you don't need to spend this tremendous amount of energy trying to sell your image. why so much struggle? why so much loneliness?

@MrDmitriiV so what, brother? have you shattered your idealized mental image of Leo? good! gurus are useless. also, this is why i don't like spiral dynamics. it simply segregates more than it unites. we're all brothers and sisters, born from father and mother, with a mysterious ability to experience consciously and about to die anytime. yet, at the same time, we're existence itself feeling how it is like to be human. we either learn how to cooperate properly and see ourselves as one family in the most literal sense, or we shall fail and go through a sort of hard reset again, just like many other civilizations. -
the way i am living right now

ajasatya replied to MrDmitriiV's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Leo has a serious issue that blocks him from experiencing Life the way he wants: he struggles to practice what he learns about humility from his trips. when it's about spiritual seeking, telling people what to do is a huuuuge mistake. the best one can do is simply communicating his own experiences. transcending intellectual pride is no easy task, but learning how to live in touch with the Heart is completely worth it. -

then think differently. what are the greatest problems that you see around you? hunger? desertification? dependence on fossil fuel? inefficient transportation? list what you can perceive and then think how your current skills (and the skills you'd be open to learn) can help. it doesn't have to be something BIG. doing small things is also very important. -

@non_nothing i don't understand how you carry debts living with your parents. are you addicted to consumerism? anyway... what do you want to offer to the world? -
@BobbyLowell i've been in a relationship for 2+ years, married for 7 months. no struggles at all. it's completely straightforward when both involved are serious Truth seekers, devoted to human virtues.

@Empty you're the perfect candidate. get ready for high levels of emotional pain and begone already! don't make yourself look like a ridiculous poser after creating this topic.
