  1. @dinesh hi there. if that's not a physiological issue, which i doubt to be the case, you may have lots of inner work to do. the safe way to tell you what to do is saying that you should seek professional help, but i'm not saying that because it didn't work for me. in my case, it came down to a moment where i decided to heal myself. hell, it was the most painful and brilliant idea back then. this is what i did. it may or may not be the case for you, but feel free to try. i started to investigate if there was a fundamental truth behind everything i had been telling myself for 25 years. there was simply a huge pile of shit under the carpet and i finally had the courage to clean it all up. this is the big line that guided me and still guides me through Life: find a way to live your life as an open book. stop doing stuff that you need to hide from others. stop doing stuff that make you ashamed of yourself. if you succeed, you won't need to meet people and put up the mask of a strange made up entity. instead, you'll be able to look straight to people's eyes and be comfortable with who you are and make deeper connections without any fear of rejections because you've finally accepted yourself. living as an open book is living with a light heart. you don't have to be the crawling creepy creature. you can be a graceful healthy being.
  2. elon musk is an inspiring example of how to embrace duality
  3. enlightenment doesn't fulfill the ego in any way. people usually don't understand what enlightenment actually requires in practice. they usually have an idea of enlightenment, but an idea is far far away from what it is. when we say "cut the ego crap", it's not just a mental process. it demands LITERAL ACTION. sell/give away the excess. drop all the dramas of your life. live with the minimum necessary so that your meditation sessions will fill emptier and emptier. implement meditation in your daily activities until you meditate 24/7. it's about losing and losing. there's nothing to gain. it's pointless... if you actually do what it takes, you will feel huge anxiety spikes. you'll feel your life being wasted day after day. no new friends, no new things... just barely enough to survive. when you go through all the emotional screams, when you feel like you're dying, then you'll have the chance to see through the suffering. you may realize what is IT that's alive. you may become conscious of the huge mystery that drives the Universe and creates Maya every instant.
  4. @Valach ask him how he's feeling and listen, listen, listen and listen.
  5. living with gratitude everyday and dying with a sincere smile
  6. it's a training process. you train yourself to be present.
  7. whoa... an entire life and you still fail at the most basic virtues? such a weak practice! welcome, dear brother
  8. lots of words, concepts and imaginary things maybe if you try harder and make it even more complex... then we can talk!
  9. @brugluiz compassion, understanding and experience. tons of hours of experience.
  10. for sure. the range of applications is very vast. credit risk analysis, image classification, fraud detection, outcome predictions etc. i never get bored.
  11. it's amazingly challenging. i feel like i'm working at my peak of creativity. the output is also very useful because data analytics can help a company make better decisions.
  12. school breaks? maybe retreats? have you ever been to one? about the wim hof method, no. i just practice zazen.
  13. @IvanV21 well, it just makes me feel retarded. it's like using alcohol to loosen up shyness. i didn't want to depend on those so i just quit.
  14. @bejapuskas i don't have a business. at your age i wanted to be an engineer so i studied mathematics, physics, chemistry and statistics like crazy. i didn't have the need for money though. i had food on my table everyday, a place to sleep, a bathroom to use and a minimal set of clothes to wear. and it was enough for me. i didn't even have a cellphone. right now i am a data scientist, which requires a huge amount of hard work. i recommend finding a way to display the output of your hardwork. i used to write a bunch of public kernels related to machine learning for free. you can always find a way to build a portfolio. this guy is just amazing:
  15. @bejapuskas mindfulness is very powerful. observe what triggers the patterns that you want to purge from your life.
  16. @bejapuskas you don't need to manipulate anyone. you just have to internalize genuine interest in helping him with the challenges he faces. i'd ask him what's the biggest challenge that his company faces and then i'd intensively study the subject. this is when research is truly useful... to solve practical issues. you can even offer your work for free, or even try it out as a trainee to see if you can really help him out. if that's the case, it's possible to negotiate a job after a few months. this is not manipulation. it requires true hard work.
  17. @bejapuskas hello there! what are your skills? what do you enjoy doing? how much free time do you have during the week?
  18. i'd start by listing every aspect of my life that doesn't feel "right" and try to connect the dots, checking if i could see common root causes and patterns in them. and then i'd make a plan to overcome all of them by working on the causes of my suffering. in fact, that's what i did ~4 years ago.
  19. @Tropic Love i don't know about you, but doing good to people feels viscerally good to me. when i used to lie to others, it felt like i was suffocating my own heart.
  20. on point. and that's why his content is amazing. it's because it feels sincere. we don't have the chance to watch such a well documented journey everyday. please do so!
