  1. @LfcCharlie4 I agree. After a certain level of development, one should be able to deduce a robust and virtuous code of living alone.
  2. I think you mean virtuous? There are lots of sources on this. I always recommend the buddhist 8-fold path and the yogic yamas and niyamas.
  3. You should nothing. From personal experience, aligning oneself to a virtuous way of living makes Life a LOT tastier. But that's a choice, not a must.
  4. If the answer we're "no", would it make math an universal language? What does "universal language" mean to you?
  5. That's what "kill your buddhas" mean. It's ancient wisdom.
  6. @Felli Reality is a spiritual realm. Every aspect of it. Every instant is fundamentally mystical. We're just too distracted to notice.
  7. @MNR Mackey Just tell him how you feel. Abide on the truth. "I don't want our friendship to continue. Being with you hurts me." You don't need to convince him of anything. You don't have to prove him wrong. You just need to have some self-respect and value your own Life over unnecessary friction.
  8. @Ingit You still haven't formulated a single question. What is it that you need to know/comprehend in order to overcome your difficulties? It's not that I am going to answer your question... it's simply because asking questions actually opens room for understanding and change. It doesn't matter how many times you say that you're feeling anxious and fearful. If you don't humble down to learn you will be stuck for a long time.
  9. @Preety_India Someone calculated the radius of the planet based on length of shadows. Look it up. Also, if the Earth is flat, then why can't people from the south hemisphere see the Polaris star and why can't people from the north hemisphere see the Sigma Octantis star?
  10. @Ingit What is your question? Formulating straightforward and effective questions is a decisive part of any type of transformation.
  11. @Amandine Amazing words. I'd go for COMPLETE detachment if I were in your place. Simply because you have the right to have a happy Life. Your mother is seizing what she planted. This is a rough aspect of the human experience: we're ALWAYS responsible for our lives, even when we're very little. We become more and more aware of our responsibility as we grow (or at least we should). Your mother made many poor choices out of ignorance. Maybe affected by acts of ignorance from her parents? You see, the chain of ignorance is hard to break. Your mother is special to you because she's your mother. But if you examine it further, she's just another human being who's been lacking wisdom... which is very very likely to happen in the human realm. Again, I'd let it all go. Living a Life of wisdom and joy with your husband is the most sane option from now on. Be careful not to continue this karmic wave of suffering. Get out of the mud completely. It is only hard because you believe that you're wrong by thinking that you can just let it all go. Inquire this internal, conditioned and toxic mental pattern of yours to death. There's absolutely no reason not to have a prosperous and fulfilled Life.
  12. It's more like infinitality.
  13. Well, you've completely distorted and misunderstood what I said. If someone is doing something illegal and you know it, it's your duty to report such person to the police, otherwise you're considered a criminal as well. I am not defending people who rape, molest, kill, torture or whatever. Everyone can be criticized, period. And everyone can also say whatever they want as long as it's not against the law. I didn't say that teachers are responsible free. That's the opposite of what I said. I said that everyone should be fully responsible for their own life. I'll say it again. Everyone should be responsible for their own life. What you should not do (even though you're allowed to) is to blame someone else for your disgrace if that person has done nothing against the law. I will always criticize such practice.
  14. Your thirst to know more. If you're really seeking properly, even a leaf falling from a tree can be a teacher.
  15. Leo cannot do s*** about it and he knows that. Hell, that's something people realize very early on their own journeys, before they decide to teach: this is about you, learning how to investigate whatever you want by yourself with less and less bias every day. It's about you understanding that you're no different than Jesus except for the fact that Jesus was fully aware of Unity whereas you're still baking in conflicts. It's about you grasping what it means to be fully responsible for whatever paradigm or paradigm shift you decide to explore. I said "you" but I am talking to whoever reads this, not specifically to the person I quoted.
  16. I don't think you quite understand the work. I'm afraid you're just losing yourself in the mind. Have you ever been to a serious retreat?
  17. Yes. I also had a porn addiction.
  18. @ZenAlex Just keep going. It will take a few years to unwire.
  19. @Rasheed I don't know what those states are. But meditation has never caused me any harm.
  20. Yes, it's fine. I don't know where you got this idea from.
  21. It becomes significantly LESS vulnerable, if that's your concern. Because an experienced meditation practitioner is aware of a huge portion of what goes through the stream of thoughts, which is the opposite characteristic of someone who's a victim of the contents of thoughts. This is also why the practice of meditation helps you to let go of dogma. Dogmatic people are not aware of the fact that ideas about Reality are not Reality.
