  1. @ActualizedDavid A good start is going to a retreat that already has everything set up for you. You will notice the necessities of a retreat there. It's much less prone to mess and time waste.
  2. @Paul92 So be it. Close your browser and go out for a walk. Meet and talk to new people. Make new friends. Truth is not something that you are not. Just accept your desire for once.
  3. @Paul92 Unfortunately, nobody else can give you the answers you need at this point. Fortunately, you don't need anyone else to get the answers you need at this point. This is where the actual spiritual inquiry starts. You need to develop full authenticity and 100% self-responsibility. You've been playing with words in the mind until now. What's beyond "we are robots" and "we are not robots"? What's beyond "yes" and "no"? What's beyond questioning? Can you notice the trickery behind my words? The mind is a vulnerable thing, prone to deceivance.
  4. @Paul92 You can just drop the confusion and move on. You're drowning in concepts and beliefs. Have you ever been to a zen retreat?
  5. @Paul92 Lots of confusion indeed.
  6. @shahryar Discover your path. Be free of attachments. You don't need to force yourself to watch every video from Leo. Take what serves you. I think you already know what you need to embody.
  7. @Elisabeth It's very easy to smell a heavy load of self-limiting beliefs in your words. The simple fact that you're not really open to becoming better at the numerical aspect of physics is a big one. You think of yourself as "done", like "this is it, I suck at math". What a burden! Human beings are never "done".
  8. We are already "collective consciousness". You can't tap into it because a knife can't cut itself and a tooth can't bite itself. You can just become aware of what you already are.
  9. @Mind of a beast Try both and see how each feel. You don't have to commit for the rest of your life. This is your adventure.
  10. @Elisabeth Oh well, it's C++. Did you download their 40 pages manual? Have you tried contacting them to explain your problems? They published the following e-mail on the lib webpage: nrgljubljana@ijs.si. And here's the personal webpage of the creator of the lib: http://auger.ijs.si/nano/ I'm quite hardcore, so I'd just make my own way through the hard times. You may even contribute to the lib by reporting bugs and you may also increase your network by becoming a friend of the lib maintainer. If you watch closely, the last patch is very recent so the lib is still being developed. What if you end up being part of something greater than your own PhD thesis? You never know! Major mental attitude: where there's difficulty, there's opportunity for expansion, improvement and uniqueness.
  11. "Giving up" only happens on a superficial level. But fundamentally speaking, it is impossible to give up. Existential suffering will drag you in again over and over until you've "done it". At least, that's how it happened to me.
  12. @Elisabeth Have you tried searching for other libs? Python is expanding really fast and maybe your work can be contemplated by a well documented lib out there. For instance, if you need to work with hypothesis tests, I recommend a lib called Pingouin, which is very user friendly (I have contributed to it with some lines of code thus I've seen how it is from inside).
  13. @Knock I am also an introvert but there is no reason to dislike the company of others. Enjoy your own company and enjoy the company of others. Why not? What are you scared of?
  14. @SerpaeTetra Why don't you try to say something with confidence? Be aware of the emotions that may arise. What is wisdom?
  15. @themovement Alright, so you will experience an extremely limited life because the scientific domain of proof is very narrow if compared to the wholeness of the human experience. I am a Data Scientist and I can tell you that science is very deceiving to lay people. First of all, scientific evidence and correlations do not imply causation. The search for causations is an old problem in science. If A and B are correlated, you rarely know whether A implies B, or B implies A or if there is a third phenomenon C that implies A and B. Genetics can boost your life in certain areas but saying that genetics dictate your life is simply straightforwardly wrong in many ways.
  16. MGTOW has additional layers of victim mindset. The idea of focusing on yourself is a few thousand years older than MGTOW crap ideology. Watch your own suffering, thinking that it's all about fame, money, power and sex. People like Brad Pitt will be forgotten a few decades after death. People like Gandhi, Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr, Buddha, Madre Theresa etc will be remembered for centuries to come. @themovement how old are you? 17?
  17. @kieranperez There is no reason for conflict if you're doing something that's not what you want simply because you don't know what you want. Use what you got strategically. Take your time to try a lot of different things before you decide to commit to something specifically. This thing that you are doing is just one thing. It's not like you will spend the rest of your life doing it. It would be hard to do it for the rest of your life even if that's what you wanted to do it for the rest of your life. So the chance that you will do it for more than 1 year is virtually zero.
  18. @Wisebaxter You deciding = the Universe deciding. That's what oneness means. The best approach for you, as far as my perception goes, is to make wise choices and be detached from the outcomes. Train the mind to be less controlling.
  19. @Anton Rogachevski Staying alive has a cost and you need to be alive and dedicate time to format and share your message. If you don't want do do it for free (as I do it here along with many others), deliberately "wasting time and thus losing money", you should at least have a self-sufficient business plan. The most important part is being aware of what you are doing. Develop a crystal clear vision and don't try to fool yourself or anyone else.
  20. From the book of my past experiences. Belief I used to hold: I am a poor worthless little creature. Insight that healed me: I am God's Consciousness and Creativity itself. I can shape myself as I wish. A belief is groundless. An insight is grounded on deep experiences of awakening.
  21. @Gerred61 You're fine. If possible, let him know that you won't help him unless he decides to help himself. This is the problem of family members. They act as if they had total freedom or if you owed them something. Legally speaking, the only ones that owe you something are your parents. And that's only until you turn 18.
  22. @SFRL The whole idea of "submitting" is a defense mechanism of the ego. What to do? Open your heart and serve. "Submit", if that's how you call it. The way of the servant is the highest way. But you have to make sure that you're not feeding a toxic behavior from your partner like neediness. It takes a lot of wisdom to know how to serve without doing harm. Time will tell you.
  23. @Gerred61 You didn't provide enough information. I have no idea what happened between you and your brother.
  24. Time to be smarter and wiser, I guess? Grow some self-love. About God's Love, you'd need to understand who you truly are. It's a longer journey.
