  1. Like an orgasm? Tasting food? Smelling flowers? Touching water? Listening to music?
  2. Whoa, that was unexpected @SFRL What is a mystical experience?
  3. @noip I think that you worry too much about what others think of you.
  4. People come here to find sources of helpful advice. This forum has a goal and if you're the one worrying too much about what others think of you, that's your responsibility. This thread is being locked due to lack of usefulness and poor attitude.
  5. @sargam Women tend to grow faster than men for 2 reasons, I believe: Periods. Female periods usually lead to physical pain and moments of introspection and they start around 13~15, which is quite early if compared to the ages at which men become more self-aware. Fertility deadline. There is a stronger visceral impulse on women to find the right father for their children. Men can kind of wander around and have a messier life for a longer period of time. So that's how it works, according to my observations. You'd need to face it and accept it. Yes, conscious and responsible men are rarer. Make use of this piece of information and avoid distracted men. A tip from a man married to a happy woman: pick one that enjoys silence, making eye contact, listening and working hard. The motivation to work hard is a good signal because it lies upon a thick layer of foundations that cover many areas of the self-actualization work.
  6. @electroBeam Have you researched the different kinds of schools that are arising? Just to name a few methodologies that I know of, search for Waldorf and Montessori. See what it takes to be part of their movement. Maybe you can plan your way to be able to collaborate?
  7. Yes. I heard that I should let go. So I did. Wise choice. I'm passing on advice that was useful to me.
  8. @electroBeam How would you like to see the world?
  9. @Aakash Ready to throw all of that in the trash can yet?
  10. @Viking Short answer: learn to enjoy what you do or do what you enjoy.
  11. @Meditationdude There are two major aspects of spiritual purification: consistency and efficiency. Throw your 4 years away and face your difficulties now, just like on day one. Have you examined your anxiety rush before taking shrooms? Let me picture it like this: imagine a guy who lives peacefully in the woods and takes shrooms as if it weren't that big of a deal. What is it that the tree guy has that you are you lacking? Why are you so tense?
  12. Sure, the winning me. As long as the me thrives, the rest of the world can explode. Can't you smell your own arrogance? This is why Adyashanti says that the path to enlightenment is the path of failure.
  13. @Meditationdude I recommend that you do some inner work before trying psychedelics. You need to learn how to live in a tranquil state of mind.
  14. Life is already God. You don't need to die. Suicide is an act against the work of God, so to speak. Imagine the complexity and the energy required to come to be as a human. Being a human is a rare event in the Universe. And then all of a sudden you destroy it by killing yourself. Such a waste! It's usually easy for us to see that we shouldn't destroy forests and oceans. Why destroy a human life? God is HERE. Enlightenment is NOW.
  15. Some things are too nuanced be clearly explained by language. Just to give you a clue: what if it wasn't really "Leo" alterating the consciousness of fetuses (which, btw, it wasn't "Leo") but he became aware of Reality doing it? It's totally possible, since Reality is our own very mature. I have watched the birth of galaxies and the death of stars. I have seen atoms pop up out of nothing. "I feel every mountain. I hear every tree. I know every ocean. I taste every sea. I've seen every spring arrive. I've seen every summer thrive. I've seen every autumn keep. I've seen every winter sleep." If you've had at least one experience beyond the feeling of being human, wiring the brain of fetuses is not that strange. Existence is creepingly absurd and radically mystical. There is still a long way to go. And no need to worry. You're not the guardian of the Universe . Existence is prior to the avatar you're experiencing. We've been here for the eternal past and we'll be here for the eternal future to come. Have some fun. Let the trippers trip. Let the criticizers criticize. No harm is being done.
  16. @Kushu2000 Stick to what makes sense to you and follow your heart. This is not a game of beliefs. Let the trippers trip. Let the criticizers criticize. Do your best to improve the quality of your life and that's it.
  17. @Marinus Carpe Diem! Make Life tasty.
  18. We feel bad when we do harm. Don't do harm and live with a lightweight heart. It's easy to fall into the mental trap of thinking that this is a egotistical goal, though. But that only happens in the perspective of the separated self. In the end, there's simply the minimization of suffering... "yours" and "theirs".
  19. How can an infinite being be outside the Universe? It's INFINITE after all.
  20. @Nivsch Great realization. What would happen if you let go of your points of view? It's a fantastic experiment.
  21. @assx95 It's easy to sense neediness, even unconsciously. Are you talking to girls expecting them to behave in a certain way? Double check your attitude.
  22. @ActualizedDavid Vipassana retreats are free.
  23. @kieranperez Truth cannot be appreciated by an agitated mind. You need to take care of the earthly matters first. This is why it works for monks... they hack themselves into contentment by letting go of material success. Only a detached mind can be the soil for proper spiritual inquiry.
