my recommendation is to use your sexual energy for something else instead. meditation, body work, consciousness expansion etc. if you have sex just for satisfaction, you will miss the main point of it, which is connection. deep connection.

you made my day even happier!

don't let ambition consume you if you haven't learned about humility yet. in the end, what makes you an extraordinary human being is your capacity to enjoy very very simple things, like drinking tea slowly, listening to other people, doing dishes etc. this is the place where you recover to grow bigger. you have to start from below. i recommend zen retreats. those are good if you want to find peace on being humble. you should aim for foundations. meditative and contemplative skills. can you watch the sunset today in total silence?

2016, oct 4th healthy meals happiness sharing bike rides university career investment meditation self-inquiry & dharma contemplation family contact actualized.org contributions there was a master class about pattern recognition. i think most people are not understanding very well what we discuss during classes. and the content of the classes are becoming harder and harder. today i felt a deep connection with the teachings of jesus. as someone who had his own direct mystic experience for sure, i was wondering if he actually taught his followers to have the direct experience their own. then i had a long meditation in which i felt my mind melt down. it feels amazing when it happens. then i went to my girlfriend's to watch part of the movie before sunrise. pretty amazing movie! after watching the first 50 minutes of the movie, we ate banana with mango. i felt a huge wave of love for her. such a beautiful person full of love and kindness. then i went to listen to a swami called yamunacarya maharaj. he came to fortaleza to teach the krishna devotees about yamas, niyamas and bhakti yoga. i enjoy it very much listening to such a wise person sharing light about the practice of love. i also enjoy watching people listen to practical spiritual teachings so they can improve the quality of their lives. i also felt very grateful for being a person who's extinguished my passions (vanity, narcissism, pride, greed, craving, inappropriate sexuality etc), who's attained nirvana. such a liberation lasts until the last breath. i went to my parents. i talked a lot with my mother. i wish they learn how to love people other than relatives and do more in life than just accumulating more stuff on their apartment. they have forgotten how to smile... now i am creating more pt-br subtitle lines for the video low quality vs high quality consciousness as i write this. good evening!

dear @Mikey , i said that we're having a good time here in this forum in general. we're not happy because you suffer. that was your own conclusion because reality still looks very personal to you. this suffering you feel comes from the fact that reality is trying to rob you from that ego-driven perspective but you don't let it happen. if you relax and accept reality as it really is, something interesting will happen to you. right now, as you suffer, you're actually in the verge of a miracle. certainly the best thing that can occur in a human life experience. -

2016, oct 3th healthy meals happiness sharing yogasanas meditation self-inquiry & dharma contemplation ashram duties actualized.org contributions woke up in my girlfriend's bedroom and we shared some intimacy. after that we had a breakfast full of smiles and deep eye contact. she went to university and i came back home on my bike. when i arrived i saw my muslim friend waiting for me. he had just arrived too. he did not tell me that he was coming over. what a surprise! he wanted to see the place i live in. we had a pleasant talk about buddhism and islam. then he left and i watched leo's low quality vs high quality consciousness video. then i contacted the daissen-ji zen center from florianópolis to confirm my presence on the sesshin they're organizing, which will happen in november. lunch time! we had a happy meal with everyone from the ashram then i came back to study some more of leo's content and participate on the forum until the yoga teacher came. the yoga class was excellent and then i took a bath for my monday zazen with the daissen-ji sangha. after zazen i went to eat açaí with another practitioner. he's a physicist and we talked about the dharma and science. then i came back home on my bike and started to clean the meditation hall, as i do every monday and wednesday. i started to create portuguese subtitles for the last leo's video and i plan to keep up with this work. then i came here to start this self-actualization journal.

i stopped doing things just for attachment to pleasure or aversion to pain. i no longer feed the cycle of cultural trash and violent food. i no longer disrespect others and my peaceful state of being brings peace to other people just from being near me. there are a lot of other examples i could enumerate. -
lol i just noticed how these words sounded like the diamond sutra (http://zen-ua.org/wp-content/uploads/the_diamond_sutra_english.pdf)

@kurt saturday, after a long zazenkai, i had one of the deepest insights i've ever had. i was asking myself "i've seen the emptiness in myself, but who suffers the consequences of karma?" then i realized the emptiness in every being. not just those who live right now but also those who are gone and of course those who will still come. so the words pounded my mind like a flash "no one suffers the consequences of karma!". so suffering is felt by the Universe. the same is with happiness and all other emotions. helping people being conscious of that gives me infinite joy and gratitude. i help being conscious of the fact that happiness has simply been felt (by nobody, this is the beautiful part). so it doesn't become a matter of selfishness/selflessness. thats why i call it pure selflessness.

@Chew211 @kurt i cannot defend any point of view. points of view don't matter much. i can only talk from direct experience and pragmatic living. i quit porn and masturbation and this attitude raised the quality of my consciousness/life through the roof.

i recommend the book "light on yoga", written by bks iyengar. the practice would be like this: watch the entire video before performing the postures and study deeply with your book each posture that's performed on the video. then you can replay the video and go with it. nothing can go wrong if you do it like this.
-
any definition of "success" that does not include real happiness is useless.
-
one can only talk about his own direct experience. quit thinking that you're talking about "others". you talk about your own selfishness. i had a huge ego and it made me suffer. now i practice zen and teach the dhamma as a zen teacher for free (the job i get money from is in the university). "coincidentally", everyone that's coming into my personal life is genuinely selfless, including my girlfriend, who is a sincere seeker too. why did i quote "coincidentally"? these things you will understand later on by yourself. for now you just need to practice humility, that's all.

@Chew211 sexual expression != perceiving the body of another being as a commodity, an object of egoist satisfaction

this is the kind of question that cannot be answered. no answer will satisfy you. you have to experience it. how far can YOU go into this? -
porn is disrespectful.
