  1. hospitals are for emergencies. besides those acute cases, full self-responsibility is one of the greatest things in Life.
  2. great thread. adyashanti has published a lot of teachings about teaching. they were extremely helpful because i could learn how to teach myself better. and then my way of teaching others improved as well.
  3. @The Monk there are i) direct experiences with insights, ii) direct experiences without insights and iii) insights without direct experiences. only you can say accurately, but i think it was the first case. just don't think you've arrived. the goal is to get to a state of infinite training, in which we're constantly working for our integral health: physical, emotional and mental. it can transcend and we can start working for the integral health of those who live with us and even for the integral health of the planet. but achieve a solid state of physical, emotional and mental health first because that's the hardest part.
  4. @The Monk it seems like "you" have seen "it", meaning a moment of union. but that's not mastery yet. Reality goes on. and Reality experiences Itself much better through a healthy body/mind. don't come up with excuses to stop taking care of the body/mind. it's ok to lose motivation to go to the gym... it happened to me and then i started an assiduous practice of hatha yoga, which has nothing to do with narcissism.
  5. people who don't have at least a few years of rigorous meditation practices are usually drown in heavy cycles of harassing self talk. the untrained mind goes like this i'm gonna prove them wrong i can't do it because i have to fix my past first if only i was more <...> and less <...> i will be happy when <...> i feel unhappy because of <someone else> i have to look good because i need to impress others and the trained mind goes like this i love doing it so i'll do it i am alive now. i am free now. i love the way i am i feel content now the other person hurts me because he/she is in deep suffering i love taking good care of my body and feeling healthy the list could go on and on. the ego perspective is selfish, needy and narcissist. Truth perspective is compassionate, content and filled with self love.
  6. @Santiago i don't have much to say. i've read some of your posts and i can see your struggle to develop a proper way of introspection. you're doing great. if you commit to being completely sincere with yourself, you'll be just fine. it can take months, years. but you'll be definitely on track.
  7. i agree. the thing is that positive way may look negative because we do need to hear/read some harsh things sometimes. the way that i behave in this forum really depends on the needs of the other person. sometimes my heart really melts and sometimes i'm very sharp. people really need the solid truth behind the lies that they tell themselves everyday. i think this is a requirement for human prosperity as a whole.
  8. bla bla bla. those with the attitude of a victim are fated to failure.
  9. you treat yourself like crap.
  10. there's nothing right nor wrong with existing. i am simply here. the idea that a person who embodies Truth dies physically comes from the limitations of human language. the teachings about letting go of desires are supposed to drive the seeker towards a state of contentment. the process does feel like death though. in the end, there's nothing wrong with desires. but attachment to desires cause suffering.
  11. for the next 4 years I and my future wife are going to travel to learn about syntropic farming. we want to practice it and spread the idea. if you're lost, check out this idea. see if it inspires you. you won't be hungry, that's for sure!
  12. do you think the world will get any better if people continue behaving like unconscious robots by feeding a miserable lifestyle? what we need is people with courage to purify themselves and live up their highest Truth. you're more than welcome.
  13. @wavydude moving out and working to live an extremely simple/minimalist life and focusing on my healing process.
  14. oh, we're on the same boat then . it is. but it's also healing. come on! it feels great to learn how to deal with emotional pain. it's a true master that guides you towards your heart. don't run away anymore.
  15. hello @Finn. your words touched me very deeply because i know how it feels to be where you are. you may feel lack of motivation because you still haven't experienced true wonders of Life. it's a common phenomenon nowadays. sometimes it felt like society was deliberately hiding Life from me so i would grow sick, filled with guilt and anxiety. this is what i did: i used my suffering as a fuel to throw myself in new contexts. sometimes i'd just go out on a silent and lonely walk to breathe consciously. right now i'm throwing myself between people who practice syntropic farming. we want to heal this planet. the task is very simple, anyone can do it! and it feels good to work in contact with the green nature. would you want to join us? i think it's easy to find practitioners where you live. the creator of the syntropic farming practices was born in switzerland.
  16. deep eye contact and listening to her with your body relaxed.
  17. @Geog it's a common mistake to try to be mindful and just dive into the torrential stream of thoughts. you just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. the practice of mindfulness is the dis-identification with thoughts. just come back to your breathing. exhale consciously and observe your thoughts fade out from your awareness field for a few seconds. it requires a lot of effort and discipline to practice the attitude of letting go. but as your practice grows stronger, you'll notice the state of presence in deeper dimensions of your life. when i use words, i can't really grasp the nature of this experience because it's inherently silent. search for a zen center if you want to practice. the goal of a zen center is to provide the optimal environment for us, humans, to practice mindfulness.
  18. @Falk when you stop wasting your sexual energy with porn and masturbation, there will be a lot of sexual energy accumulated. you need to use it wisely. one good choice is using it awake your spine. i sincerely wouldn't have done it without the practice of hatha yoga, since it's one of the very purposes of yoga.
  19. not for me. i'm a man of practice. my study is meditation.
  20. @mathieu i'm already doing it! "there's no such thing as bad soil." ernest gotsch is a genius. not based on syntropic farming, but still wonderful: the salt of the earth forest man project greenhands
  21. yes. don't try to get something out of it. don't try to impress and don't crave for approval. if you need to talk to any of them, look straight and deeply into her eyes. if you manage to maintain a humble attitude, you'll have nothing to hide. this is actually an acing advice for almost any situation in life.
  22. i'm learning to cook slowly. there's no way other than taking the risk.
  23. the perfect world of mathematics is mental. math is built upon axioms, which are simply convenient beliefs.
  24. forgiveness is essential for living in the present moment. it's achieved by getting in touch with the emotional pain and releasing it. feel the pain and let go of its reasons. thinking about the reason just feeds the emotional pain. be the pain itself alone.
  25. @AlexB suffering is a great opportunity for union. if you had a son, how would you like him to treat you if were attacked by a dog and were in the same situation as your mother?
