for the next 4 years I and my future wife are going to travel to learn about syntropic farming. we want to practice it and spread the idea. if you're lost, check out this idea. see if it inspires you. you won't be hungry, that's for sure!

do you think the world will get any better if people continue behaving like unconscious robots by feeding a miserable lifestyle? what we need is people with courage to purify themselves and live up their highest Truth. you're more than welcome. -
@wavydude moving out and working to live an extremely simple/minimalist life and focusing on my healing process.

oh, we're on the same boat then . it is. but it's also healing. come on! it feels great to learn how to deal with emotional pain. it's a true master that guides you towards your heart. don't run away anymore.

hello @Finn. your words touched me very deeply because i know how it feels to be where you are. you may feel lack of motivation because you still haven't experienced true wonders of Life. it's a common phenomenon nowadays. sometimes it felt like society was deliberately hiding Life from me so i would grow sick, filled with guilt and anxiety. this is what i did: i used my suffering as a fuel to throw myself in new contexts. sometimes i'd just go out on a silent and lonely walk to breathe consciously. right now i'm throwing myself between people who practice syntropic farming. we want to heal this planet. the task is very simple, anyone can do it! and it feels good to work in contact with the green nature. would you want to join us? i think it's easy to find practitioners where you live. the creator of the syntropic farming practices was born in switzerland.

deep eye contact and listening to her with your body relaxed.

@Geog it's a common mistake to try to be mindful and just dive into the torrential stream of thoughts. you just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. the practice of mindfulness is the dis-identification with thoughts. just come back to your breathing. exhale consciously and observe your thoughts fade out from your awareness field for a few seconds. it requires a lot of effort and discipline to practice the attitude of letting go. but as your practice grows stronger, you'll notice the state of presence in deeper dimensions of your life. when i use words, i can't really grasp the nature of this experience because it's inherently silent. search for a zen center if you want to practice. the goal of a zen center is to provide the optimal environment for us, humans, to practice mindfulness.

@Falk when you stop wasting your sexual energy with porn and masturbation, there will be a lot of sexual energy accumulated. you need to use it wisely. one good choice is using it awake your spine. i sincerely wouldn't have done it without the practice of hatha yoga, since it's one of the very purposes of yoga.

not for me. i'm a man of practice. my study is meditation.

@mathieu i'm already doing it! "there's no such thing as bad soil." ernest gotsch is a genius. not based on syntropic farming, but still wonderful: the salt of the earth forest man project greenhands

yes. don't try to get something out of it. don't try to impress and don't crave for approval. if you need to talk to any of them, look straight and deeply into her eyes. if you manage to maintain a humble attitude, you'll have nothing to hide. this is actually an acing advice for almost any situation in life.

i'm learning to cook slowly. there's no way other than taking the risk.

the perfect world of mathematics is mental. math is built upon axioms, which are simply convenient beliefs. -
forgiveness is essential for living in the present moment. it's achieved by getting in touch with the emotional pain and releasing it. feel the pain and let go of its reasons. thinking about the reason just feeds the emotional pain. be the pain itself alone.

@AlexB suffering is a great opportunity for union. if you had a son, how would you like him to treat you if were attacked by a dog and were in the same situation as your mother?

ajasatya replied to Joseph Maynor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor it's a strictly practical definition for spiritual growth for sure. but then another question arises. how can i be so sure that i can see all of my egoic traps? wouldn't i be falling for another trap? only time will tell. -
@alyra why do you want this question to be answered? why do you pursue an answer?

exposure and discomfort. make eye contact and listen with your heart. melt down in pure presence. my theory layer is very thin. i've organized it in such a way that every single line of argumentation leads to a form of practice.

@5driedgrams that's a powerful practice. it's useful to throw away a lot of garbage and align with what really matters. -
sure... that's how we usually grow up. very deep inside we already love everyone unconditionally, but it's not felt until we can't take our lies anymore.

obliteration

no. such person does not even know what love is. an easy way to detect love for someone else is when you want the other person to be happy even if her happiness has nothing to do with you.

@alyra eckhart tolle calls it the "background noise" and explains very well why the solution for it is the practice of mindfulness in his book the power of now. there are certain ambients in which you can train to be present and remove that background noise. the great master thich nhat hanh has several teachings on how to practice mindfulness on the daily basis. i also recommend solitary zazen sessions, groupal zazen sessions (zazenkai) and zen retreats (sesshin). good luck with the practice!

@Geog how often are you truly present? i had depression and social anxiety. my problem was the fact that i was constantly filled with regret, trying to change the past with thoughts or thinking in the next achievement, the next way to satisfy the mental self-image i solved it with a rigorous training process of 24/7 mindfulness. very little theory, almost purely practice: spend your day focused on what you're doing while you breath consciously. you may notice how hard it can be. the harder it is, the more you're identified with mental objects. attachment to mental objects is one of the main causes for human suffering.

@Ilya you're not sick. you just need some training. that "forgetting what i just read" symptom is very common. society has grown too distracted. focusing when reading is the solution. it's the training itself. try being mindful while washing the dishes or cleaning the floor. and while you walk, watch the bodily sensations. it's also training.
