  1. @Mondsee What is life? Each form will give you a different answer. My answer is to share, experience, and celebrate existence. Better done with a sweet friend at your side
  2. @Toby Animals see reality as is and most of them even have no self-awareness, yet they still run on their natural (and some on predatory) instincts - survival mechanisms. Those Zen masters who operate on low conscious psychological patterns are not much different from a predatory animal. A psychopath won't turn into a saint as the shift occurs. It all depends on which stage of psychological development one was at when they awoke. That's why I'm such a proponent of shadow work following self-realization - we all have issues we need to resolve, be one awakened/enlightened or not. Osho collects women and expensive cars and Buddha was known for occasionally indulging in too much alchohol, while both enlightened. Their natural instincts and conditioned behaviors were preserved even after awakening. And the list can go on. A tough bullet to swallow, but It is what it is.
  3. @I Am That In his Systems Thinking video last week Leo was talking about the Yellow Stage consciousness and how it's more advanced comparing to the Blue, Orange, and Green. Zen is in the Blue dogmatic stage. One could be enlightened at the lower stages of psychological development, yet they wouldn't be advanced enough psychologically to properly integrate the ego and follow up awakening with effective shadow work, at least right away. Enlightenment doesn't make one automatically a high conscious being. You have to advance yourself psychologically as well. Thus, Yellow stage consciousness = Self-realization + Properly integrated ego/Shadow work. I don't think Tier 2 is possible without these 2 factors.
  4. Eckhart Tolle's material is great for times like this. At some point in the past I binge-watched his vids and read his books in a matter of days. Also, check out his interviews and guided meditation vids.
  5. @Progress Have you watched comedy Office Space? The main character stopped caring and as a result got everything he wanted when he did care and nothing was coming his way
  6. @Dan Arnautu Love listening to Alan Watts. Thanks for sharing.
  7. True. One has to cultivate compassion after an awakening, especially if they lacked it before the shift. Self-realization does not guarantee a shift in one's moral compass.
  8. @Snick Yes, I was born and raised in Odessa. It's the Black Sea resourt with lots of culture, so there are a lot of tourists visiting all year around. That's how I learned English A beautiful city indeed. I have friends here in the USA from Sweden. Ulla and Mark had me over for Swedish meatballs recently and they were delicious C(:
  9. They get it - world peace starts with an individual's freedom from their own mind. When we have peace that transcends all understanding (ego-mind), we get that much closer to the world peace.

  19. My pooch is turning 9 soon, so I decided to invest a bit of money and take him to a holistic vet nutritionist. Turned out I have been feeding him mostly wrong stuff. His diet consisted of quality dry food, chicken jerky for dogs (not made in China), and home-made rice-spinach-chicken livers meals, and water. The holistic vet lady said that feeding an animal dry food (even quality kind) is like for us eating pocessed food at McDonald - bad. Makes sense. She also said, to my surprise, that chicken meat in general is not healthy food for dogs. Also, she told me not to use any salt for his home-made meals. The healthiest and most wholesome food for a dog is RAW ORGAN meat from an animal (usually available at your local produce market and very inexpensive) - livers, heart, kidneys, brain, tongue, etc. These are rich in all kinds of vitamins and minerals, including vits A, E, C, B, amino acids L-Carnitine and Taurine, etc. Also, raw bones that don't splinter, like an ox tail. Fish (sardines, salmon, etc) and raw eggs are also great - rich in Vit E. Dry freeze kidneys, mussels, beef bites, salmon jerky, etc also make wholesome snacks. Cooked rice in limited quantities, veggies and roots are fine (mine loves fresh turmeric root chopped into his meals). As a dog grows older, probiotics also become a must to help digestion and overall wellbeing. As far as supplements, for an aging dog she recommended CoQ10, fish oil, Milk Thistle, Curcumin, Chlorella, and kelp..which I sprinkle in his meals daily. Here's a sample recipe that Max loves: 1 tbl sp cooked organic rice + fresh chopped baby spinach leaves + any kind of raw organ meat (or combination) chopped + chopped fresh turmeric root = saute all this lightly for a couple of minutes in a bit of coconut oil -> let cool off -> sprinkle with probiotics/ supplements -> serve C(: Your furball will love it, guaranteed
  20. I think someone's getting hungry here
  21. @Annetta Try to feed them raw livers, hearts, kidneys, etc. I use culinary scissors to cut up organ meat into small bite size pieces, and also slightly saute with spinach, cooked rice, and turmeric root in a bit of coconut oil (no added salt). Experiment with this and work out a menu that fits your pets' taste.
  22. Raw organ meat is cheap - I spend around $30/ month, my Max weighs 18 lb. I feed him 2 meals (morning and evening) and make healthy snacks and water available throughout the day.
