  1. The character in the movie realized he's the screen. My upvote for awoke AF
  2. I would say it happens because our psychological trauma also factors into what we find attractive. Humans often find attractive what is familiar to them. If a girl had an experience in her childhood where a caregiver (usually a parent or both parents) was less than perfect, then she develops an attachment style and coping mechanisms necessary to survive in that kind of relational environment. That become her safety zone. Which includes most of humans, not just women. There are also plenty of men who would prefer a bitch over a nice girl and would find her edginess attractive. No?
  3. True. I'll paraphrase it then - A guy will GET a girl by attracting her, however he will KEEP her by making her feel safe.
  4. Here's your answer. Find a woman you can trust.
  5. I would agree with Teal. Safety, both emotional and physical, is number 1 need for a woman in a relationship.
  6. Yes, the ability to observe without conceptualizing and absorbing, staying present and detached from the thought story in the head is very powerful and freeing.
  7. @Nick_98 You'll be getting good feedback on different ways to boost your mental clearity, such as diet, water consumption, stress coping techniques, good night sleep routine, regular exercise, etc. One thing I personally suggest that helps me is to go without thinking for stretches of time. If you can't do it yet, start with a daily meditation routine. After awhile you'll train your mind to not have to think. Use this ability as a tool, so when there are times to focus, make a decision, etc you can switch back to thinking at will. You'll see how much sharper, clearer and more effortless/flowy it will become
  8. @Diane Just wanted to stop by to thank you for your presence on the forum
  9. @Chakra Lion Thank you for sharing My feedback would be to reflect on the temporary nature of everything and on the amazing abundance and variety that life offers and is still out there to explore. Perhaps do some work on trauma bond that the break-up might have caused. There is no true freedom where there is still attachment. Wanting what you can't have is an old ego's game. And if you keep looking for her in other people you meet, the cycle will be always leaving you at square one. As you feel deeper, your deepest, you'll be able to move on faster. Let go. Much love and healing to you <3
  10. @Chris365 Most people would fall asleep while meditating laying down. It's hard to fall asleep while meditating sitting, walking, etc. And it's not easy to do a Strong Determination Sit, for example, for an hour or longer without moving even a little bit, period. By making it difficult on the body, you more effectively train the mind.
  11. Hi everyone! This thread is for wishing Leo a Happy Birthday, which is coming up April 24th. Please send your wishes, memes, e-cards, etc. He appreciates receiving them every year. Happy Birthday, Leo! Thank you for your enormous contribution to humanity. Keep on rocking. We love you!
  12. I don't use vision boards, just study lots of psychology and being mindful of my thinking and behavioral patterns, which are mostly a result of environmental conditioning and childhood traumas that we all have
  13. By starting to notice patterns first in my thinking and behavior, and the reactions that followed them. I noticed they rotated in a cycle. Sort of what the definition of insanity is - keeping doing the same thing and expect different results. So I started to investigate what was causing staying in the cycle, I wanted to break out of it. That led me to studying human nature and mechanisms that drive it. I discovered those mechanisms were not unique to just me, they were universal and common to all human beings. That was a big aha moment for me - to realize the collective aspect of our both conscious and subconscious. More studying and exploring followed, which led me to Actualized in 2014 and other teachings, and ultimately to awakening a couple years later. I also had some traumatic life events happen before then that triggered for digging deeper.
  14. I'm a life long student of psychology too. Even after the awakening I still continued to try to understand how the 'brain' works and why we do what we do. But there is no more psychological suffering. One of the most important things, however, in understanding the psyche is that the subconscious drives most of our moods and behaviors. Bringing that out from the subconscious is the first step, understanding, and then accepting it and loving it. Ekhart also has good teachings on pain body and how to stop to identify with it.
  15. @bejapuskas I only started to truly 'heal' when realized and embodied my true nature as the Absolute. There was no one there to heal
  16. It's ok to be the toilet, as long as you don't drink from it
  17. @bejapuskas In a nutshell, Healing = Truth + Love
  18. That was a brilliant analogy. Thanks for sharing
  19. Hello Actualized family, I'm starting this thread to post and discuss your favorite Buddha At The Gas Pump episodes. I enjoy listening to the interviews with different self-realized beings and it fascinates me the variety of ways and paths others take on their spiritual journey. If you decide to post a video, please briefly share why you find that particular episode interesting and/or important to you I'll start out with the Ken Wilber interview. For those who doesn't know, Ken Wilber is the father of Integral thinking and Integral Spirituality, SD Stage Yellow. This is what a Yellow mind thinks like Enjoy
  20. Wow he had such good rhythm too, impressive!
