@Alex K Does your cafe serve fresh salads and fruit? Subway, pie, and latte are all processed stuff that doesn't give your cells the nutrients they need to thrive. Try to avoid refined sugars, grains and dairy. Good substitutes are veggies, fruit, rice, buckwheat, quinoa, nut milk (coconut, almond milk). Those will make you feel so much better by far!

@popi Coconut oil clogs up pores and creates blackheads, etc. Might be better to try different oils if you do skin care. Just google and see what other oils go well together with turmeric. I use argan oil for moisturizer, but there're also avocado, almond, etc that skin loves too.

@Emilio In Leo's latest video '10 Important Things You Want, But Don't Think That You Want', one of the things he lists is authenticity. Shyness is acquired, and can be de-conditioned. He'll be making a video on how to. If you haven't watched this week's vid:

It never hurts to get as much of turmeric in your system as you can. There were biopsies done on the people in India with the longest life span, and when they opened up their sculls, their brain was literally yellow from having had consuming turmeric all their life. These people lived to be 110 - 120 years old and healthy up until they died from old age.

@Allinthemind Turmeric would stain on its own, but not when mixed with coconut and peppermint oils. Also, as a supplement turmeric is more absorbable when taken with coconut oil. When I make my turmeric tea, I always put a bit of coconut oil in it for that purpose.

I just watched Leo's latest video 'Ten Important Things You Want, But You Don't Know That You Want', and one of the things you want, but don't know that you want is to be nobody. Leo tells you that this is counter-intuitive and can be scary, but he also explains why it's one of our deepest wants (25m 30s to 29m 15s). The whole video is awesome, though.

@Vaishnavi If you watched the video, Drew also mentions that turmeric de-calcifies the pineal gland. Bonus!

@Carrie I agree, Leo is a real deal. He walks the walk, not just talks the talk. He inspires us to be independent thinkers and to do the same.

Thanks! This body-mind organism called Natasha went to Busch Gardens recently... even though there is no coming or going, no past or future and every day is like 'now'. 'Looking good' is just happening, considering nothing is really neither 'good or 'bad', except for which the mind makes it- 34 replies

'Sand'/ 'substance' are just a metaphor to give an example. They, of course, don't do justice, because what we're talking about here is something that's unknowable and un-describable and primal to any concept. Leo called it 'Pure Transparent Empty Awareness' in his video on the enlightened self - impersonal, timeless, boundless, meaningless, and completely mysterious to the human mind. Edit: Just saw your response to Cetus56 about relativity in another thread. Terms 'duality' and 'non-duality' simply refer to the perception of separateness/ conceptual boundary vs non-separateness, like that sand castle being sand or a wave being ocean (metaphors). No one's arguing on the matter of dimentionality at all.- 34 replies

It's a subtle shift in perspective. Example: you see an object sitting on the beach. You get closer, it's a sand castle. Is the sand castle separate from the sand? No. As matter of fact, the castle IS sand, it just looks like it's separate. You're self-realized/ awaken when you realize that everything (including yourself) is one substance (sand, in our example) manifesting/ experiencing itself as object reality (sand castle, in our example). Right now you are that sand castle thinking to be separate from sand. But the shift would allow to 'see' yourself as the castle being merely what it is - sand. A simple recognition, nothing earth shattering- 34 replies

I just found this post of Leo's in the thread Reality Vs Illusion that might be of insight: "They can be used to aid one another. Use both! You can use illusion to find the truth and embody the truth. As long as you're alive, you're in the playground of illusion. So learn to play with it."

@bazera As Eckhart Tolle said, "Don't expect consciousness where there is unconsciousness". Here's his talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqr98O8QT3M I would also start planning my moving out of the parents' house and getting a place of my own. Hugs

Leo called it Pure Transparent Empty Awareness in his The Enlightened Self video. That would be even more primal than light energy or vibrations, and unknown to a human mind.- 71 replies

@Alex K What part of Russia are you from? I'm originally from Odessa, Ukraine. My maternal grandmother came from Siberia in the early last century. She was a tough Russian lady. That's awesome that you're getting serious about meditation routine. Meditation is not limited to just sitting, you can meditate while walking, during commuting, and even while working. I've learned to turn my thinking mind off and on at will and to go without thinking for some stretches of time. This can be done anywhere and at anytime in the day. For headaches I would recommend to clean up your diet first. That means no processed foods/ beverages/ alcohol, avoiding gluten products, dairy, refined sugar, hydrogenated oils, etc. Consume more fresh veggies and fruit, clean water for adequate hydration, hormone-free fish/ meats.. Also natural supplements like fish oil, curcumin, vit B-12, Alpha Lipoic Acid + fat soluble form of B-1(Benfotiamine) is also a good combination for brain health. Exercise every day is a must, as well as stress busting techniques, which meditation is the main one. Also, consider a full body detox: http://blogs.naturalnews.com/total-body-detox-how-to-purify-your-life-mind-and-soul-2/
