Plenty of people have done the 'love hate rice experiment' and posted their findings online, I did it too and it works. What's pretty cool about it is that the jar you project love on significantly preserves it's freshness, but that there are little to no differences in the hate jar comapred to the ignored jar. -

Well said, in other words, WHO ARE YOU?! Edit: I still think it's weird to say that there can be 'no free will', things can happen without thinking, but they still do spring from the source of YOUR being, always. -
David Spero, love this guy bio http://www.davidspero.org/about-david-spero What I like specifically is the embodiment of the teaching being presented in such a fun alive character, being inclusive of not just non-dual realization, but the that vibrant aspect is also acknowledged as very valid, as well as the devotional aspect. Which brings a nice trilogy of the path, through silence - energy - devotion. So there is meditation, embodied passionate living and embodied emotional openness/devotion. For me it's very inspiring and reassuring to see such an evidently bright character that speaks about the truth of embodied bliss for over 10 years now, showing the same clarity, certainty and presence in his being and eyes, showing that this is indeed very real and lasting. I find all beautiful to watch, to me this human expression is pure art but here are some of my favorites

Well what I learned from the havoc during that time period is how much of an hurt desperate ego I had, and the desires it had for joy or specialness to be found in the outside world, which wasn't working at all, and that being with your mind that's hurt and not doing anything to heal it is hell, and that you can't solve the problem by staying just on the level of thinking. Edit: I'm also not resentful at that time (which I was at the time), because I now understand it to be a natural consequence of an emotionally suppressed/ignorant of consciousness mind. -

This victim mentality/blame game isn't doing you any good bro. I've experienced psychosis/depression after a strong shroom trip at 16, it destablized my life/psyche but I got over it by getting at spirituality again and I am not in anyway resentful towards that time, it helped me a grow a lot and fast. Now, I took the shrooms myself, you were given them, either way, it happened, and done by the same Self ultimately. And neither me or you can claim to be a ripped open bud, that's just ego projection coming from still unacknowledged pain still projected onto some idea, just keep going, find some support perhaps in the form of a good teacher and either way you'll be over this soon enough if you just keep going. -

You might become too happy for other people to relate too. In all seriousness, there's nothing dangerous about it, the only danger is that you'll experience something quite profound that then an ignorant mind might want to use as a new identity, or worse, use it to create fantasies about itself and use that as an identity, of course still based on fear which it is too immature to admit still. But that you fix easily by learning to just stop believing your thoughts, maybe think: 'thoughts, thoughts, thoughts' and see that it has nothing to do with who you are or reality, and that also there is no joy to be found in other people's admiration. -

I never hear that and that sounds really odd, happiness petty? Selfish? What's wrong with happiness? Or selfishness for that matter, especially regarding your own well being. think happiness is the only real driving motivator at stake actually, for all beings. Also, what is truth anyways? People might have very different views on that, when you say, 'want to know what reality is', that does nothing for me, even as an intellectual type, maybe because it's obvious to me that it is what is is, experience. And to me it sounds like a trap to even want to know more the only thing regarding 'what it is' can only be a concept/thought. Now, I must say that I do have a consistent curiosity for who I am, which can be said to be the same thing, but also for happiness because finding out who I am involves opening/relaxing.

Usually when I walk I try to keep my attention on just being, or my body, it works.. But today I felt inspired to visually keep my attention on my body as well, this was surprisingly effective at keeping my center still instead having it to to other people automatically together with unnecessary social thinking, and thus was able to keep my calm really much better than usually. Peace

Blocking chi?? Maybe if you suffocate yourself with latex, anyways this is still also a dream/mind body with dream garments. The only thing that'll block ur chi is ignorance of Self, negative beliefs and suppressing natural emotional energy -
I recently looked up how Julien and Tyler were doing and, well, they're actually on the path and doing emotional healing workshops and stuff https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaN4Pe5JEsWzAByY2WfxxjQ/videos

What helps me is realizing it's me, and it's very silly to be afraid of yourself, and you know you are pure, sweet and grand at heart intuitively. Also, seeing and grasping that what you think you can hold onto is not real: sensations, thoughts, perceptions, they are just that, and changing and not you. Also seeing and being with living examples should be of great help. -

Bad advice imo and which 'best gurus' say that? I never hear of teachers whom hadn't had a good teacher on their own, except perhaps for Martin Ball, and perhaps Osho? Anyways in the east it's commonly understood that the quickest and most steadfast way to enlightenment is with a teacher, and I agree, it's like meeting a future self, a good friend, lovingly guiding you. And it's not really not about knowledge and following them, not at all, good teachers know this, it's a bit about being shown your blind spots and getting tailor made advice, but it's mostly it's about recognizing and melting into the same heart through their radiance of spiritual presence/light. -

On the absolute level, because you belief in the 'I' of 'I am the body' On the relative sense, suppressed emotions that you are used to not letting up due to social conditioning, which has your mind automatically go to thinking/doing patterns to avoid being still and not feel -

As Terrence McKenna said: you have the kind of shamanism where the shamans had no psychedelics and did stupid shit get insanely sick, almost die, to get back indeed in a different shape.. And then you have the shamanism cultures where they just tripped. To each their own of course, but I see this not as generally something useful at all or worthwhile and see it more as symptom of a culture that's still filled with self hate, it's always a terrible time, yet plenty of people do it, without really big benefits. -

HPPD is being able to tune into that fluid state but doing it unconsciously (for actually some reason you create in your consciousness, perhaps (probably) zoning out is a tendency of mind related to it's escape-ism). Sometimes the letters on the screen start going wavey when ever I read a trip report, but I can stop it at will simply by tuning into a more sober sense, and at will I can tune into a more trippy sense. -
'Many Buddhist monks', I suppose this time you also can't provide a source?

Quite a revered person person in the spiritual community, she gives hugs (energy transmission) and meditation seminars freely during tour, as well as food being provided. Louis Theroux has a guru documentary on India (which is quite fun to watch), at 43 min he also goes in for a hug as a skeptic and was surprised. http://documentaryvine.com/video/louis-theroux-india-enlightenment/ http://amma.org/meeting-amma/europe

There is only one energy, and it's perfect. There are many flavors, and all are beautiful. The contraction from fear/emotional suppression is what's causing suffering/'bad energy)', the energy of which by the way is the opposite of powerful and transmittable (though not impossible if you chose to vibe along with aggressive drama types, and thus creating disharmony by fueling your own judgments), but in reality it's small and in a sense not even really existent.
