On my first mushroom trip, I thought, well, if this is a dream, I can just blow my empty nose on mushrooms and make it completely wet. I had the sensation of it being completely wet, but IDK if it 'actually was'. Years later on mushrooms also, I thought, well, given I'm God, then the clean water that this girl is giving me I can turn into dirty water! It was pretty much a knowing at that point though. So as I get handed the water, I look at the water and it's brown, I'm still somewhat like 'you gotta be shitting me..', I don't hesitate to drink it to see if it was actually like dirt water, it was, I spit it out, and the girls like: 'oh! sorry!'. Now, I can't be sure if anything 'noticeable happened', surely if you've never gone deep on mushrooms you'd think: 'you were just high on mushrooms', but if you have, this shouldn't be such a surprise Anyways, I should stop boasting my spiritual ego now, this is quite useless information and has nothing to do with happiness or even awakening really. Finding out, or glimpsing free consciousness, and (learning) to live as that is infinitely more enjoyable. -

Meditation habit indeed. And you can do self-inquiry all the time, very helpful, can be very exciting/fun too. And truly know that you know nothing, you do not know who you are!, that maybe should spike some interest in finding out. -

On caffeine in my experience, it's amazing how that stuff disrupts sleep, even if you're pretty early with it given it stays in the system for quite a bit of time and even small amounts have very noticeable negative effects in my experience. Can't belief starbucks is so popular and people drink that stuff in the evening too, what the fuck -

A very suppressed background, no prior meditation practice and a mind that wants to go deep will usually result in a very bumpy ride, it will actually always tend to be bumpy but now especially so. 'It' was believing in thoughts, having little trust in the process and in who you are and being very cut off from your feeling nature. -

In other words, just don't become a smug, that's not meditation danger, that's just uneducated unwise arrogance. -
There might be some but wouldn't it be worth it? It would perhaps be a tiny bit, nothing compared to people who inhale copious amounts of cigarette smoke, and can whom can do fine for X years, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah but you can't damage the subtle body
-
You mean physical damage then as apposed to death? Other than that it makes no sense to separate energetic danger from physical danger.

The ego only dies temporarily in ego-death and being enlightened is when living here and the ego, or reality, is seen through completely. DMT probably allows for peaks into other non-physical realms, or read the accounts of NDE, or peoples experiences with deceased beings. - I agree that earth is a kind of shitty ass realm atm, but actually that's only from the contracted ego's point of view. To awaken here is awesome and to awaken others is awesome (especially coming from such a place of deep ignorance), to build an enlightened society is awesome, to explore the universe (as a unified race) is awesome and interact with other civilizations is awesome. And just actually having your human avatar is pretty crazy cool when you think about, interacting with nature is cool, interacting with other humans, having sex with them, making music with them, joking, experiencing personal and spiritual growth/opening. All a very unique experience that you can't have just in spirit, which in my understanding also actually shapes a raw spirit (having incarnations), so then as spirit you navigate through life as spirit that knows the human experience, and thus has a reference point for itself, and then you can live on and help other physical beings in that way. -
You don't just get enlightened in spirit without going through your process because you can't kill the emotional/mental body by killing the physical body. And you chose to be here from spirit to 1. Gain the experience of a human being and shape yourself as a being, to experience going from from limitation to freedom, from judgment to love, to become wiser/greater than before. 2. To experience the proces of enlightenment, and eventually live an incarnation of a free enlightened human life (which is not a lesser experience than being in spirit), then you can and will truly move on satisfied.

''So when you stop managing your consciousness [...], you realize you have nothing, you own nothing, you don't even own your own process of going beyond, you can't even do that, nor can you hold onto to it once it apparently goes, so you're in the same boat, you have nothing, you're nothing. So get used to that feeling of being nothing, being nobody, that's the jewel, that's the precious jewel.'' -
They do guided 5-MeO sessions in Belgium as well Well that's just conjecture since no case has been reported like that and it would seem very very improbable, unless maybe you're like a 70 old lady or something (which Martin Ball, which has done 100's or 1000's(?) of cases, talked about the only case that came close to death, and he does usually 5 rounds of a full dose with people). - Btw it's interesting how every trip can be so different, I've had: close to deep sleep, like being high light, like being big light, some closer to beingness, some mindfuck/time/space destroying, one dmt-like and love related, sensing more the energy outside of me. Still haven't been able to let go all the way, but it's nice how the glimpses keep returning sober in different ways as well

You can't kill yourself by destroying your human body, not the emotional body / the momentum of attachment of the mind, you'd need to complete your spiritual practice regardless. And from what I've heard from reputable sources, cutting your process short like that, before having fully lived a human experience (as being awake, fully conscious), will probably result in choosing another incarnation. Because experientially living a human enlightened life is desirable (living as a Jesus or Buddha ain't boring), and would allow you to leave the human experience satisfied in spirit as well, because physical incarnations also serve the purpose of shaping spirit to be able to have a sense of personality with it.

What happened is your psychosomatic energy system got aroused, and it started purging your body-mind of negative beliefs/emotions, but not everything could be let go of and your conditioned mind (or (negative) ego) backlashed and you went along with it. So you have to stop believing your thoughts, including and especially the ones that say you are now 'crazy/bad/have a problem' (which you kind of are, but that is only because you are still too deeply involved in the (poorly conditioned) story mind). So your job, and your only true job in this life, is to find out who you are and live an enlightened life, this is what the kundalini also tries to teach, for you to let go of everything. Enlightenment is realizing who you are as the Self, which knows: it has nothing to do, no one to be, and no where to go, and then are free, nothing, a nobody, and happy and in love. But the tastes you got was too much of an opening, it was too different from how you were brought up (with religious guilt and sin, judgement and strive etc)., and so the mind came up with ideas of needing to do something, needing to be someone, even though you were experimenting with totally not being how you wanted to be, too confront yourself with your beliefs. So everything is fine, just pick something simple you want to do in life, anything, and during it and in your spare time just devote yourself to self-inquiry, love, meditation and let it work itself out and just enjoy, it'll be, or it is great. -

I think intelligence isn't much of a factor expect for getting you serious about the path, aside from that it's mostly desire + honesty. As far as intelligence is making it harder, only to the degree your attached to intellectual ego/knowing, which is usually the most revered trait and the strongest addiction too (thinking), because it's also so useful for the material realm, but not for letting go indeed. -

Case in point, an autistic person probably wouldn't make such generic fuss -
AlwaysBeNice replied to AlldayLoop's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I haven't met a lot of people over the years but the ones that were autistic seemed more kind, intelligent/rational and open than the average person, yet often still quite hurt from their upbringing, more so than the average person. Perhaps normal people are more autistic than autistic people in some way, I'd say they would do quite well. -

From what I've heard from reputable sources is that the mind can dissolve in it complete and then you live as That, full awakening. -

Pretty obvious that our world has shown less tolerance for feminine aspects, but yeah of course also, on one level there's no world and thus no patriarch). Good examples of feminine qualities are: Creativity, spontaneity, emotionality, craziness, expressive (love/compassion/affection) Whereas tend to see and favor more male characteristics as in: Coldness, calmness, rationality, dominance, self-love -

You can do self-inquiry always, and it's so much fun, just observe the body mind and your silly ways with it, with the curiosity or deep knowing that you're not it and that you can find that out, and how amazing that is, and that you can also play this body mind, and love. And that all the relationships you ever had, was you! Omg, how special, intimate and beautiful. -
Indeed. I find it sometimes mind boggling that can people have so little interest in this work, but I'm sure if it wasn't for my psychedelic glimpses, I would have been a normal chap and it would have been very challenging to leave the materialist indoctrination, let alone believing enlightenment was something that is real or in reach for myself. - Also a bit unrelated but on my last 5-MeO experiences I had the thought, that a psychedelic induced mystical experience is so proper for most people, because if you would get a glimpse like that sober 99% of the people would probably be able to handle not well (given it's already a tough pill when you know your on safe & 'short' 5-MeO): being convinced you are permanently insane, being killed, 'this shouldn't happen', 'why it's happening to you', overthinking theories about the universe and your life, making too radical decisions etc. Very sure this is why mystical experiences are so rare for people sober until they are settled deeply enough in themselves. - But yeah, because of their intensity, it's still a 'risk' in a sense for people as well for how they will handle it during & after. But as for becoming serious about this path, surely it's a good choice.

Nothing can 'make you psychotic' because psychosis is believing in thoughts to a high degree, fueled by trauma/ignorance. Psychedelics can definitely destabilize things though.
