  1. That's good commitment. But eh, in the case of actual suicide, you'd be probably going into another body (or have be it a failed attempt t for what ever reason), because there's still too much attachment of self. If you really want to let go, you can already do so right now, your body is not preventing that, your mind is.
  2. Regarding the idea that there's a lot of suffering vs a lot of non-suffering based on the pleasure-pain idea isn't entirely true. In the most central aspect, there is always absolute peace/joy/safety, no matter what arises, children and animals are closer to this, the natural state is true happiness it self. Then in the relative, there is pleasure and pain, which are truly are quite dismal. - Humans are just so ignorant of source that we think our the pleasure's/pain's are what it's about, completely overlooking our self created tornado of mind suffering, which is really the issue, and which is like a self-created dream, based on the fear of the imagined future. - And experiencing incarnation(s) of forgetting of Self serve a purpose, for the unique experience of being able to experience awakening out of suffering because it makes you grow as the particular linear being. Once you are finished with the human experience, it has grown you as a spirit, being wiser, greater, unique. Also, I've had 2 glimpses of animal consciousness and it truly great: natural, free, feeling at home. So don't worry about suffering, focus on your own transformation process, the universe is you, you are good.
  3. Had some weed edibles yesterday, got me closer to that space but didn't let go fully I think weed now, after having gone pretty deep with 5-MeO, really offers a nice gentle psychedelic push. It's funny, still every time it happens I just can't belief how real, and just divine that space is. Also it left me with a good imprint as to what it is we're looking for just 'feeling-awareness' and that only, ignoring sound/image arising
  4. It can be a very helpful source of personal guidance, awakening/energetic catalysation and a good friend. But the master comes and goes, appears and disappears, so ultimately it's still useless, this about slowing down and stopping the mind, the beauty of it is that you don't need anything to have, do or know, to experience that.
  5. Also the body composition changes every moment, and on a cellular level almost completely every 7 years, as well as our DNA. Can you be a past body?
  6. Physical suicide likely gets you to unconsciously incarnate again because you couldn't surrender everything prior to death, and so the mental tendencies you can't let go off will cause you to want to play out a new persona again.
  7. It's cool that he's promoting some form of Dharma to so many people pretty successfully, he teaches right speech/action and karma yoga in a way. Yet he says that the way out of suffering ends with this kind of picking up responsibility, which is finding (arbitrary) meaning in service, whereas that's just a stepping stone for ultimate surrender. And that's kind of dishonest, to say that is should end there, because he had a mystical glimpse himself
  8. Ramana Maharshi warned against. Craig's a good teacher also imo, here's a little bio: At just 19, Craig began apprenticing under his teacher David in Southwest Colorado. David, a little-known meditation master, (who lives a private meditative life) guided Craig for 20 years, in the lineage of Sri Aurobindo. This relationship deeply shaped Craig’s life and teachings. During the last 10 years Craig also studied with Adyashanti who guided him through 4 profound awakenings (head, heart, Hara and Kundalini). Upon request from others, Craig began sharing these nondual teachings in Satsang. (Batgap interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQhzeoVwnjw) He experienced an intense years of kundalini awakening, often experiencing extreme pain for years (after already having done a lot of practice) which would later transform into bliss if he could surrender to it, as well as experiencing difficulty with motor skills, sleep, memory etc. and worked with many people whom are also going through a similar energy process (whom mostly come to him asking: how can I stop this?). He also doesn't recommended energy practices at all, because the goal is self-realization/surrender anyways. So given we already live in a challenging world full of turmoil, poor support systems, terrible mental conditioning/emotional suppression and a complete ignorance of emptiness: focusing on energy practices might just make things harder on yourself as apposed to doing the self-inquiry/doing nothing or perhaps concentration exercises which is almost always recommended and which has you coming into peace and freedom without adding more buzz than what's needed.
  9. And I forgot to mention it can put people on the brink of insanity or make them insane (for some time), if they aren't somewhat settled in consciousness and don't have the wisdom of knowing that no thought or feeling is ultimately true. But that's significantly harder to do when your system is being flooded by triggered feelings/thoughts because of the energy awakening. To me it seems like playing with the mind, and playing with energy (which would be the better scenario, as apposed to people (unconsciously) doing it to gain special experience or siddhis to put on their spiritual ego resume). That can be fun, it can be healing, or it can be destabilizing, and (relatively) rarely awakens people out of ego (compared to other practices). To each their own, but if your goal is permanent happiness and freedom, I don't see why one would want to go this route. Because self-inquiry/doing nothing gives you best of both worlds: -It gives the highest probability of permanent awakening (which is always the nr.1 goal) -It heals the systems also because the contractions are based on 'I-thought' trauma's/suppression - It allows for the energy to gently awaken on it's own, but at that point it's more of a reflection of the already open state you're in and doesn't tend to cause turmoil - Also asana yoga is good I think, all exercise is great and important imo.
  10. There is no end to expansive states of consciousness. And there is no end to physical or mental evolution/life stream. However there is the complete end of bondage/ignorance, of false identification with only the personal self. That is liberation, and that is always deemed the thing that is worth striving for because that is freedom, that is true bliss, which is not a sensation. That is why teachers urge you not to chase: altered states of consciousness, not to chase energetic sensations, and especially not thought theories. - Some enlightened people may have affinity for relaxing into ever deepening states of consciousness, and some may enjoy living as an active being more. But they care about neither, because they have given up the wants/aversions/fear of the conditioned mind. Your job is not to try to figure out what mahasamadhi is, what other teachers exeprience, your job is to be honest about the mind addiction, practicing, and see through your progress that liberation and the joy of the Self are true, studying won't do that for you, it might actually do more harm then good, in keeping the mind active, given how you approach it. Peace
  11. Sparring in (kick) boxing. Requires alertness, can trigger primal body feelings, is interactive with another person
  12. I've also spent many hours studying a lot of material over the years, often as a filler in my time when I didn't want to meditate and I disagree, only good basic info is needed and then just practice (which will bring results which will bring more practice until it's done). But the good info is often somewhat spread out I think.
  13. It's not merciless because it does not exist outside of you, only you can be merciless to yourself, which we tend to be however, unconsciously.
  14. I used freebase plugging (5-MeO) by 'stirring' it with 2 ml of sunflower oil, and with stirring I mean: it was pulling up and squirting out the oil/5-MeO continuously for a few minutes from a small container, someone here mentioned that with oil freebase can dissolve and it can work as appose to mixing it with water. There were no burning sensations at all. Also, you probably don't need to clench when laying there, it just stays in naturally.
  15. Natural state is joy, more visible in little children/animals Negative conditioning, emotional supression, ignorance = suffering (temporary, mind based) It may look as if it's just a poor choice to ever then go through these things and suffer. But this grows you as a being, it gave you the unique experience of being closed, opening up and of being open while knowing what it's like to be closed.
  16. Talking about not know, I think it's one of the most useful things to know on the path, an underrated concept, because it can kind of disillusion the ego mind out of it's arrogance and it's like a gateway to the absolute that state of: 'oohhhhhh [I... 'don't know what this is! what the fkkk, omg! awesome!]', it helps with surrendering. Ye, that statement of Peter Ralston, regarding the question: 'what's the closest state of enlightenment the mind can have' (or something), and he said: 'true not knowing', that really helped, and I think it's important to burn into people's heads that start: ponder the fact that you really don't know anything! Really grasp that, because we've been used to this lie for so long thinking that we know anything.
  17. Lately in bed at night, thinking about how I am everyone with a certain knowing to it is so profound and beautiful, but for sure grasping I am my own mother has been the most mind humbling and deep, I guess so much of my ego was to protect me against that cu**.
  18. There's no stopping spirituality, if they would go at it, the people would find a different platform and it would generate even more publicity. But google should be quite open to it, they have had all these spiritual teachers on.
  19. Why do you think there would be sadness after awakening Markus? You see through an illusion, you don't actually lose anything of value.
  20. Freedom is what you want, that is true bliss, better than the best sensation you can imagine Chasing good sensations or a good self image, that is only misery
