That's what masters claim and there's really only one way to find out, they even tend to say that all of nature actually lives in zen, and that only humans apparently suffer in kind of insane way (self-conscious, existential fear). But we can know for certain self-conscious suffering can go, because we see little to none of it in little/children and animals, and even in some adults. As for existential fear, that's also just something that arises with thinking based on imagination, not inherent in all states of sleep-dream-waking (it's not there in sleep and in the first few dreams there tends to be none, then self-based ego arises and it comes). So when you say, 'people will suffer forever', no they won't, because only sensations can be painful (on the surface) but stress thinking makes it bad, and that thinking is based on momentary time/choice, not an inherent quality. -

What is all that is? You don't know, what is nothing, you don't know. I experience free will, or not, maybe it's simpler than we think. It's cool not to know -

If there is no separate person ultimately, there is no separate will either. Then free will or no free will become mute points, for whom? Adi Da on free will: 'There both is and isn't' David Spero: 'I dont know, if you look at the past everything seems faithed but .. [ can't remember the rest ]' So yeah, it's not as black and white and some teachers make it seem, but all they do is point to the beyond anyways, basically talking crap so you would stop thinking/believing everything for granted -

I went nuts for a year or so after a deep shroom trip when I was 16, hospitalized and all, I'm 22 now, it just went away after starting a dedicated meditation/self-inquiry practice. Honestly what's the problem? Yeah, reality is nuts. Fantasies are nuts, well they are just fantasies. Waking up to that, combined with a socially conditioned, emotionally hurt/suppressed ego and living in an insane society, is definitely not easy, for sure. But really, what's the problem? Why is not okay if you were hospitalized and went mad for bit? Just like always the stubborn ego is the problem, and the belief/addiction to it, is the problem: 'This isn't suppose to be this way', 'I am not suppose to be this way', 'I should be normal, shouldn't have done this and that', bla bla bla, no one cares. Yes, awakening will make you lose your mind, therefor take it slow so you can adapt to it and remain functional comfortable degree, but do continue, it will be the only thing to solve all your problems, which just is the drama itself, so stop caring about bullshit social conditioning/thoughts if you want peace. -
Afaik, there is a sort of final awakening when the ego is just dead and self-consciousness is destroyed, so complete spontaneity/no fear, but what strikes me as particularly interesting (as a 'not fully awake person') is that literally every glimpse I've had, sober or drug (or dream) 'induced', roughly 22+ of them, idk, is that all of these (semi)egoless states were all completely and utterly unique. Though I've had only one of what was a true stillness/nothingness, don't know how much uniqueness can be experienced there. Really neat.

It's not natural, it was taught to you by idiots. If you move, you move the whole universe. The whole universe moves, you move. So forget about shame. No inside, no outside. No beginning, no end. You are it. Duh. So forget about fear. Love everything or nothing, just live your life or throw it all away in meditation, it's all good, your new era has arrived.

Exactly like this, lights, sounds, sensations. The problem is the ego, not the appearance. And hypothetical philosophizing is a true cancer of mind, it hides itself as useful, but it actually creates completely artificial ideas of right and wrong, has no real useful connection to your true life 99% of the time, just to make your ego feel like it matters. -

'Can dead matter create intelligent consciousness?' But introducing this to people too abruptly can create mental breakdowns, obviously, are you up for that (while you still have structures standing)? -

Don't take on more than you can serve, how will worrying help anyone? What is your problem? Be only focused on that. Are you not always afraid of stillness, hiding that by constantly making up conceptual mind problems, like the people you are complaining about? Also, it's not bliss vs pain, it's pleasure vs. pain, and bliss is the liberation from the idea you need to get pleasure and avoid pain. Babies are not perpetually unhappy, animals aren't, children aren't, masters aren't, just stupid indoctrinated humans are, and because of their stubborn misguided use of imagination. -

Ye I know you can really see beyond it, have the mind really blown, but still have the mind fully active at the same time, and that can seem to make things very iffy. I feel like I've been where you are. But that's where you have to remain humble, because as long as the old mind is still active, you just can't really enjoy much, so in actually such a big aha moment is still often like a first step, surrendering and embodying silence is just what follows over time. Truly having no-self is not only peace, but also the freedom of joy to live as you please without self-consciousness, just as children can play with full sillyness, full joy, full confidence, that's how you can get. And yeah, even after a 'bad' or iffy time of mindfuck, fighting and losing the mind battle, the mind just becomes more relaxed after, it's all good. -

'Be careful judging enlightenment by one psychedelic trip' + 1, happens all the time, a first semi-glimpse often gets turned into 'the new found truth' by the mind because it's so new and big for the mind. But meanwhile the mind, still pretty much completely intact, still used to thinking it knows everything, then thinks to itself that that is it, and that it's pretty much enlightened now, have seen it a lot over the years on online psychonaut communities. But the truth is not really an acquired taste, the simple truth of no-mind is peace/wonder itself, when the mind is just dead, perfection is automatically there, similar to what everyone can recall to some degree from sleep and sometimes dream states. But yes, as long as the mind is not fully dissolved, it is getting used to the taste. -
Nature recommends a few - You don't need to take 5-MeO externally to experience, just truly being still is just as direct access, but taking it externally is a unique way, a unique blast. By the way, in some strange way, you can have many many many different experiences of the beyond.

Self-inquiry is just meditation with the goal of realizing yourself as who you truly are, so you start of with the humble knowledge that you presently don't know, as apposed to meditating to increase your focus or whatever. And then it's either do-nothing meditation or feeling the Self meditation as Ramana prescribed it. -

Sometimes doubt arises for me, then I think back to one shroom experience I've had, and I'm like: 'oh yeah nvm' Simply during that moment, there is no confusion about the infinite being real. To try to deny it would be similar to saying to God, 'hey God, you're probably not real', God's only response can be: 'OMMMMMM DUM DUM INFINITY WOM WOM', Only when you experience it can you grasp how mind blowing it is, it's just....... ..... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG .. By the way, regarding this brain/consciousness thing, Think about the fact that the brain, or any object, cannot actually have a center, cannot stand alone by it self. Every particle only exists because it is exists relative to everything else, it cannot stand alone. Reality is One. Can you be separate as a consciousness therefor? And you think that consciousness, that which literally creates reality, can be separate from creation? Consciousness with also the experience of intelligence, emotions, free will, art, empathy, psychic experience in it? .. And on quantum scale, reality evaporates. A particle is not anywhere/everywhere, until it can be observed. -- Literally everything shows it, somehow we're so deaf, we tend to not hear, it's just too unbelievable I guess, counter intuitive somehow and culturally inappropriate. Doesn't matter though, and reading about it can only do so much, experience is the way. -
If you focus on stillness as apposed to thoughts/visuals it certainly has a ton of potential like almost all drugs

After 5-8 months now or so of having had some glimpses 7 glimpses or so with 5-MeO (in the 10-20mg range) (no major major breakthrough), and continual 'spiritual practice' (feels kind of weird saying it as practice because it's by mostly about doing nothing, taking time to just relax/ and observing life, and some self-inquiry/listening to satsangs). I am getting sober glimpses during the day sometimes, like a few times a week, and am more relaxed/open during daily life, and I am getting glimpses now almost every night, which is amazing and beautiful to experience, but only when I am half 'asleep' (and thus enough out of my mind, but still conscious) or during dreams. But I still don't let go completely and contract into body moving-self-thinking or sleep. So in daily life I am still contracting into self-thought/fear in cycles, but also experiencing some freedom from it simultaneously. Anyways, what I want to say @Serotoninluv , as for advice, just continue your practice of stillness and know you know nothing. Because the hardest thing to accept for me.. is of course the letting go into stillness, but also the not knowing, and losing yourself as a 'knowing mind person' in the world. You have no beliefs or thoughts that are 'true' or 'right', you can't, it's transient and made up. Also, I can notice suffering really only arises when there is the thought of duality, for example you might notice this when you lose having real morals, and then this might feel uncomfortable, but only because you imagine a society/people that exist outside of you, that you feel you need to be someone for. You can still spout opinions and actions related to your relative life, and that's fine, but that's only because of your made up relative existence. - listening to music is so nice btw, and the fact that everything is as spiritual as anything else, and that it's all so mysterious, and that there are no authorities. edit: this is after 4 years of regular practice also by the way, and other psy use

Why do you think killing your body will kill your mind? It won't, or it probably won't. Only stillness or opening will. Also, enlightened people who teach are but one form of enlightened people and those are the only ones you happen to see. -
